It's a Hooters. You know it and you either like them or you don't. I don't go that often, and I've never even set foot in the one here in Denton and I'm living here three years.

I was out getting a little "wind therapy" also known as, on the motorcycle. I took a chance and went to visit a friend in McKinney. So I met up with him and suggested lunch at his favorite place. I've been to this location many times and pretty much all of them with him. I used to work with him on the house he now lives in and he'd occasionally take me out for lunch or dinner and most of the times it was here. I haven't been to this Hooters in a few years now.

We got there later in the afternoon and it was quiet. We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more. And that was just to get our drink order. Our server eventually showed up. She'd been chatting up some regulars and didn't bother to make her way over. As I said the place was quiet. There were five people at the bar and maybe a total of seven or eight sitting at tables and the two servers and a manager. She made her way over, took our drink and food order and was off. In all the years I've been to Hooters, I've never had a burger there. So I went with a patty melt with bacon, caramelized onions and something called Daytona sauce. Apparently, Hooters has added several new sauces to the mix. I was always partial to the Bentley sauce. It's one of the hottest they have, but, for me, not too hot.

Got the food and the burger was pretty good. I would have liked it a bit rarer but it tasted good and of course bacon makes it all better. As for the Daytona sauce? It was like a thin barbecue sauce and nothing special.

This is your run of the mill Hooters, like the Daytona sauce, nothing special.

My go to: 10 piece, breaded, original Hooter's Hot with fried pickles.  Woooo weeee.  That Hooter's Hot Sauce is too legit to quit.

Aside from needing a little bit of a scrub down and a look/feel overhaul, this place rocks.

    Love me some wings.
Food quailty was the same as any other Hooters.

They are slower here, both mentally and physically. Our take-out order took twice the amount of time they predicted over the phone. And the poor bartender could not think herself out of a paper bag. My boyfriend asked for ketchup. She said they don't have ketchup packets. He asked if he can just get a container for it. She stared at him and blinked a few times before he added that he can use the container where they pack the ranch dressing.

In terms of looks, they had the B-Team girls.
