Unfortunately I am writing a bad review for what used to be a good place to eat and have a beer. I don't know what has changed, maybe the concept has run it's course. But since Twin Peaks is doing well it could also be that maybe they are drawing away the usual crowd.

The food is still what I expect and for chicken wings they always come through in the kitchen. The shrimp cocktail is really good with a little bit of Cajun spice. My little guy likes the hamburger sliders and Curley fries. And the crab legs always have plenty of meat and they come to your table hot.

Where Hooter's is going downhill is in service and atmosphere. On our most recent visit the waitress didn't write down our order and when it was served the sliders were missing and I got ranch instead if blue cheese. And even though they have plenty of TV's instead of having them on live sports (there were a few NCAA hoops games on the TV schedule) it was on a replay of a football game and a sports clip show. Overall I got the impression that no one cared about the experience.

Servers in white tank tops and orange mini-shorts only go so far and there needs to be a little more to the experience...

They have the best wings in town, and their fried pickles are second only to Red Beans... Being a 'man's' sports bar, it is noisy, which is the only downside in my opinion.

    I go for the wings...

I don't care what anyone says, Hooters fried pickles do NOT beat Emerson Biggins'.  Emerson's pickles are speared and are crisp, whereas Hooter's are chips are soggy and the batter sticks together.  No comparison!  The wings, I do admit, have gotten better over the years.  I just wish they weren't always in "the weeds" when we're there.  Last time we waited an over an hour for our food during a weekday lunch.
