We had a marvelous lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered wine, a cheese plate with goat and sheep cheeses and sandwiches on gluten free bread. We also took gluten free cookies to go. All of the food was very fresh and yummy. The owner's parents were there working and were very friendly. We will stop again when visiting the wine country.
Review Source:Just had lunch today at the Horse Radish in Carlton with my family. Â The spot was recommend to us by someone at a winery and we thought we would give it a try. Â The place was very good and I would definitely recommend it for lunch. Â I had half turkey sandwich and salad. Â The name itself doesn't do it justice. Â The turkey was pepper smoked and yummy with avocado. Â The salad had cranberries, hazelnuts and feta cheese with a creamy vinaigrette dressing. Â I made all gone. Â My husband had the brie quiche of the day and my daughter in law had the grilled cheese of the day. Â A good time was had by all, and service was very good.
Review Source:So I was lured here with the promise that the beer I desperately sought was once again stocked. This was not a lie.
For the record, its Hirschbräu, doppel-hirsch. That's German for awesome.
Last night I again ordered the pastrami, and once again I confirmed it has no equal. The wife ordered the salmon dip as her main entree. On the side she got the evening special of mac & cheese (so decadently good) and a caesar salad. For dessert I believe she ordered the salmon dip.
Her love affair with that evil sauce really is an obsession. Last summer we bought a meat and cheese plate for a picnic, and a small container of the salmon dip to go. She accidentally left it in our car overnight. The next day I had to drive back to purchase more just to calm her tears of rage.
I can no longer in good conscious hold that 5th star hostage. In fact, this is the only local establishment I would rate a 6th star if it were possible.
My addict of a wife raised her fist in the air and still demands they open up later on week days though.
