Horseshoe Restaurant

I LOVE the horseshoe Restaurant.  Super friendly owner & staff and delicious food.  I discovered this treasure on yelp (THANK YOU, Yelp!) and every time i have to make a trip to NC and pass South Hill,  i stop at the Horseshoe. If i'm with folks i tell them they're in for a real treat.   I'm ALWAYS glad i make the stop.  I get the fried green tomato sandwich - so yum!  On the return trip, this time,  we stopped in for dessert and OMG!   I had the Chocolate Chess pie. Delicious doesn't quite to it justice! It was so good i ordered an extra slice  to bring home to the hubby. I highly recommend it for gooey chocolate-y goodness.   Also tried a bite of the Chocolate Walnut pie which was also delicious, but i've found my fave with the Chocolate Chess.  
So check out the Horseshoe Restaurant and be sure to leave room for dessert (or plan to take a slice to go)!

Wow! Had their awesome fried green tomatoes and a really delicious BBQ sandwich with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Sad I wasn't able to try their pie but would definitely go back! The service was excellent. (A)

Love this place! It has great food, cool atmosphere and a super friendly staff. It also has some of the best croutons, pie, and soup in town.
