My wife and I love coming here because we always get excellent service from the bartenders, we usually arrive after the dinner rush and are just looking to relax and get something light. My wife loves the buffalo chicken salad, I usually get a royal with cheese burgher which is pretty good.
Review Source:Nice atmosphere, appetizers were tasty. Â Bar staff was a little slow and cleanliness was an issue. Don't order drinks here. Â They use a nasty spoon to scoop the extra head off of the beers, then it sits in the drip tray or hangs from the Guinness tap. Â I watched them reuse it over and over all night long.
Review Source:Nice atmosphere. Our servers were good. Accurate, polite, attentive, but nothing to write home about. The food was meh. All sounded great on the menu, but seemed like it came out of mom's kitchen. Very edible and the best ingredients Giant Eagle has to offer, but not worth the cost. (as evident by the lack of guests I saw on a Friday night). Overall, not bad, but I won't return. PS sign up for their newsletter and get a free appetizer with purchase of entree.
Review Source:Decent meal and good service. Â Wasn't blown away with the food, it just average. Â I agree its not a good place for kids. Â Server even said after the meal "can I get you more because I feel like I never get enough food here." Nothing really to complain about, just didn't stand out as a great experience.
Review Source:We still enjoy going on dates here. We are always seated promptly. On this most recent visit there was a musician playing live music by the bar. It made for a very enjoyable environment. They recently started serving cookies for dessert. The ones we got were over-cooked and not worth the $2 they charge for them. The waitress was kind enough to realize how displeased we were and took them off the bill. They have a lot of work to do if they want to be on the level of Max and Ermas' cookies.
Review Source:Been to this Houlihan's several times. I prefer summer because I like to eat outside [However, I wish they would have put more thought into the patio design with additional plants/hardscape to soften the Rt19 traffic noise a bit]
Just ate here again recently and the food is typically good. When it has not been good the manager has responded quickly and appropriately...more on that below.
The menu covers all the bases. You get a little of everything: burgers-steak-seafood-chicken-pasta-entree salads-sandwiches-desserts.
This day was not the kitchen's finest day-
I had scallops on risotto. It was average.[Wished I had stayed with my first option rather than making that last minute switch! ] My SO did better with her selection, but had overcooked noodles in her meal.
This is where the manager stepped in- and took quick action to replace the noodles after our waitress started a perplexing discussion that began with the statement : "If we would have ordered Alfredo sauce rather than Marinara sauce the noodles would not have been overcooked." Â Â Did I hear that right? Really?
So I give them a 'mulligan' for this day and whatever was going on in the kitchen. I give them an A+ for a very gracious and fast acting manager to correct the situation.
We will be back again another day
Irritating Experience from a place that could be great.

+ 1 For a high quality waitress
+1 For the food that we ended up ordering (my wife included)
-1 For the most confusing "Happy Hour" that I've ever seen.
They have a happy hour that only allows certain things, such as the  "1/2 off draft", at the bar 10 feet from where I'm sitting. I also wanted something from the $6 appetizer menu that is available in the bar and lounge...no go, the lounge was not where I was seated either, that's 10 feet in a slightly different direction. Kudos to the waitress for giving us the opportunity to move and helping me at least get the beer but by this point I was already frustrated.
****If there are Happy Hour restrictions then they should be posted on the door, not on the menu...that you receive when you sit down...in the wrong seat.****
I don't even know where to start. My girlfriend and I went there for a later dinner around 730 and were immediately seated outside on the patio. There was very little people there so it was if we were alone at the restaurant which is nice because we hate having to shout to hear each other.
The atmosphere was great. The outside patio had a modern feel to it and they had some great relaxing music playing.
Food:
To start, we ordered the truckstop fries (a long plate of fries covered in a chipotle sauce). Good for 2 people, $3
Side Caesar salad (usual styling of the salad) pretty good, but nothing 'wow' about it. $4
Honey-Dijon Apple Chicken Salad Sandwich - From what my girlfriend said, she loved it. She normally wouldnt have ordered it, but she couldnt decide, so I suggested she get it and she loved every bit of it. $9
Black Angus burger with American cheese cooked Medium - Warm and juicy with every bite. Had a slight char-grilled taste to it but it wasnt over-powering, just enough to give it a home-style grilled taste. $10.50
Dessert: Smore's, I can't quite remember the full name, but it was a sizable cup of chocolate covered in marshmallow fluff, presented with slices of graham crackers covered with a flame crackled sugar coating and a few strawberries. The graham crackers were amazing, they weren't crunchy/dry liked you'd expect them to be, but slightly chewy, almost in a cookie kind of way. $4-5
Overall, We'll definitely will be going back there again soon.
Ok, so I've never seen a Houlihan's before. I've only heard of this chain because of the Jersey Girl song (Barbie Girl parody) that Roommate played our first year of college. :)
Anyway, this is a review of their cocktails and their cocktails alone. I didn't order dinner here except for the obligatory order of calamari.
The flight of martini I ordered tasted like dessert. The key lime pie martini had graham cracker crumbs on the rim. I seriously could have ordered another flight or two.
We went here on a Friday night. My bf was thoughtful enough to make reservations, so we were seated right away. This was my first time to this new restaurant in Cranberry Twp. It appears to be small from the street, but this place is huge. The interior is well designed, beautifully decorated with rich materials and dark woods. The entry wall is lined with stone as well of some of the interior walls. The center of the main dining area is filled with contemporary lights hanging from the ceiling; the booths are lit with square flush lighting. The bar area is huge and includes booths as well as patio tables.
Service here is very warm and friendly. Â Matt was our server and he was great.
They have a great drink menu with a variety of martini's and long island ice teas, as well as other specialty cocktails. Beers include American, micro-brew and imports. Their wine list is short and to the point. Jim picked out a Top Shelf Long Island for me. Yes, I couldn't decide which one to try. It was delicious. Jim had Blue Moon.
The menu covers a lot of territory. It includes several chicken choices, steak, shrimp, as well as burgers, sandwiches and entree salads.
Friday night with my bf was a special occasion, so we went all out. We shared a house chop side salad. It consisted of chopped greens, smoked bacon, corn, homemade croutons, grape tomatoes, bleu cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. It's a great combination of flavors and one of the best salads I have ever eaten!! Â Jim had the evening special, which was the scallops served with risotto and arugula. The presentation was very nice, but he reported that the dish was average. My entree was awesome. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon basted with red wine garlic butter. It was probably cooked a little more than I like, but I never know if I should order medium rare, medium or medium well. (Julie, make a mental note, you like it medium on the medium rare side!!!). However the steak was very well seasoned and very tender. Also, my loaded baked potato was delicious; sour cream, bacon, scallions, butter and cheese. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. For dessert we shared the bourbon pecan pie. It was a cute little individual oval shaped pie, perfect for two! Coffee was nice, I opted for Frangelico.
Great new restaurant, I really like it! But they lose a star for my bf's disappointing meal.
