This place was dinner number 1 for my birthday. Iv never been to Houlihan's before and it was actually really nice. If I were just rating the drinks, I would give it a 5.  All of the alcohol we ordered from here tasted great!! I had a raspberry long island ice tea, which was good.  We also ordered an x-rated margarita and a flight of mini martinis.  For the Martinis we chose the Adam and Eve, Chocolate and Guavatini which were all really good!! The Adam and Eve and the Chocolate were my favorites though.   For food I had the mango grilled shrimp salad, which was okay, but Thomas ordered the stuffed chicken breast which was amazing.  It didnt taste too cheesy either.  I would recommend that to someone that goes there for the first time!

This place has good quality food.
The name made me think it was a dive or something
    Drinks are really good

My wife had the martini flights and they were all excellent.
    Beer selection = Really Good
    Menu selection = Large
Staff = Smiling and friendly - easy to find
Manager, didn't see him but, didn't need too, waitress and bartender are always easy to find. That's how it should be.

    We'll be going here often.

    Great place to eat.
Both times I have been here the staff was always very helpful with menu selection (it's a lot).

All the food I've ever had here was definitely GREAT. Portions are huge, and prices are a little above average.

    Drink selection is about normal.

    Atmosphere is nice and clean.

I would definitely recommend (and I have) this place to anyone else in the area.

Well, let me begin from almost 5 months ago. Bad service, charging me wrong prices for food ordered. Bringing me the wrong food after I ordered. Prices on menu did not match with the prices they charged on my receipt ETC... This happened over and over again for two months. I finally complained to the GM and bar and floor Manager about the problems. ( I had also complained during the service during the two months) Not to be a complainer , but just to let them know that there was improvement to be needed.
After two months of complaining about a price difference on the menu and what was being charged I let the bar tender know that this was ridiculous. She stated that no one else complains, so I stated that well the prices should be correct. I then pay my bill and ask to speak to the new Bar manager that came in from Arlington or Irving to be the new Bar manager who I spoke with the week earlier about the price difference on the menu. He then stated a week ago that the price is an easy change by re-programing the register. Well it was never done. So, when I asked why, he stated that It is a long process to change the register, we have to go through corporate and so on. So, I start to leave and I see Aaron, the previous Bar manager who is now the Floor/ dinning manager and we sit  out side for about an hour talking  about what just went down. He states that he is sorry for what Kristen said(new bar tender) Who had nothing to do with what was going on between me and the managers, she just happened to but in and be a b--ch. So after the talk with Aaron he states please come back and I will buy you a beer on me. Well, I didn't come back until 4/12 month later to let by gons be by gons. When I walk through the front door I ask the front door hostess if Kevin is still the GM and is Aaron the floor or dinning Manager and she stated that they were both no longer there. I then ask who is the Bar Tender, Is she Blond or Brunette, and she stated that she was a Red Head. So, I'm thinking no one that I know is a red Head because in my mind Kristen was a dirty blond. So, I go to the bar and the Bar tender is Kristen a dirty Blond and the same Bar Tender that was a B--ch to me on her first or second day at work. So, I order a beer from Kristen who's demeanor is not to great towards me. After my second beer a young lady sits next to me and orders a Martini and some food. After receiving her Martini she makes a comment to me, and I state yes, whatever, you should here my stories that I can tell you. As I start to tell her my story of my past experience with Houlihans the bar tender Kristen is now asking new customers to my left what they would like to drink and here's me talking to this young lady and states don't believe a word he says, he's not allowed in here. So, I say "WHAT" I'm not allowed in here, and she states that's correct. Then she say's you are done pay your bill. I then pay my bill which was again the wrong price for happy hour, Three draft beers for $9.38. So, after paying my bill I ask to speak to a Manager, and waiting for me at the front door is a man that states I'm the Manager. So, we walk outside and he states what's the problem Jim. So I state that the Bar Tender was stating in front of customers that the person I was speaking to should not believe a word I say and he is not allowed in here. So, I tell this to this manager and he states that he is not a manager. but he is the head cook. So, I ask if the GM was in and he stated no she is not. But, Kristen the Bar Tender was talking to the new GM while I was sitting at the bar(the Little Blond Girl) So, I then ask the head cook am I not allowed to come to Houlihans? and he states that's what Aaron stated. Well Aaron stated to me after our conversation that he would buy me a beer if I decided to continue to patronize Houlihans. So, my whole reason for returning to Houlihans was to let everything be in the past be forgotten even after writing Kevin The GM that I would never return.  But, as usual Kerstin is the bar tender and treats me like crap in front of customers. The head cook tells me that he will talk to Kirsten and that he saw me walk in and decided to give me a second chance. He decided to give me a second chance after they had given bad service for two months and I complained about it, give me a break. So, again I asked am I not allowed to come into Houlihans? and he stated NO you can still come in to Houlihans. Well, guess what, after being treated like this, I will never come back unless I receive an apology from higher Management.

We've been to this Houlihan's about 4 times now and always had a great experience all around.  The ambiance is nice, the service is good, the food is good.  The only problem is that my mom always HAS to get her white bean stacked salad and there are too many other things on the menu that she also wants to try.

I've been three times and it's been fine.  The Parmesan Frites are good enough to have me craving them ... really really adore those.  Other items we've tried:
    - Goat Cheese Artichoke Bites (app) ... decent
    - Grilled Salmon BLT ... really good
    - Rojo Chicken Street Tacos ... didn't try but the hubbs said they were fine
    - Top Shelf Long Island Iced Tea ... the BIG one .... really good - and much cheaper than buying 1-3 smaller drinks

I stopped in for a quick drink after a long day during the week though and their happy hour leaves a bit to be desired.  Nothing special.  Service wasn't great.  No great drink menu or motivation to go back for that particular purpose.

Tried this place for the first time today. Yum. I had the flat bread with wild mushrooms and argula and a side cesar salad. All excellent. The waitress was super nice and service was stellar. I will go back again just to see if I can find another yummy  menu item.
Nice place, real clean, no wait and medium priced.

We were in Fort Worth and thought we would try it again. We had been to the Addison location and had a great meal. The Addison location is much better. The Fort Worth location has a toned down menu and is missing some of the best entrees!
The food was bland and not very good. We ordered the Seared Rare Tuna Wontons and what ever breading they used tasted like plastic. It should have been crisp on the outside, but it was soggy. The tuna was relatively fresh, but it didn't make up for the breading. We also ordered the Parmesan Fries; big disappointment! They use powder (grated) parmesan and they barely have a parmesan taste to them.
For our main course, I ordered the Tuscan White Bean Salad and that was delicious. Only a few ingredients, can't really mess that up. My husband ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce was very bland. If you blind folded me and had me taste it, I probably couldn't  have told you what it was.
Overall we were disappointed after having a good meal at the other location. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Really nice looking place, great service.  Good bar and happy hour specials.  As for the food... i've been here a few times and gotten something different everytime.  Never spent less than 15 bucks on an entree and have never considered the food better than just OK.

I have been here twice now. The food has been less than par. I would recommend coming here if you just wanted to drink and eat the appetizers.

Clearly one of the best Houlihan's around. Great atmosphere, very good food and close to me. I enjoy the little plates with some wine or a cold beer. Wife loves this place and the deserts.

I love more dining options! This place *is* a chain but who cares? They have a variety of vegetarian options, small and large plates, and my FIL (normally a $$$ and above kinda guy) actually liked it. The mini martini's were apparently a hit. On a cold day grab a sandwich/burger and the tomato soup which is to die for (I refuse to ask about the calorie content).

Also, those glass bubble light fixtures belong in my living room.

They would get 5 stars but they never seem to have creme brulee. This is a travesty.

This place has made it into our restaurant repertoire because it offers a good variety of dishes and we can all get what we want.

The menu offers "small plates" and "large plates" so you can eat as much or as little as you want.  Menu includes many grill-type favorites and some items that are not as common, for example scallops.

Like all the restaurants in the Alliance shopping center, this place gets crazy busy for dinner on Friday and Saturday, and parking is hard to find.  This is why we opt to lunch here instead of eating dinner.

I really like this place.  I've been twice in the past couple of weeks:
the first time a girlfriend & I went for a late lunch/early dinner & ordered their spinach dip with the cheesy lavosh crackers as an appetizer and I had the scallops with risotto with a cup of the chicken tortilla soup to start.
the dip was good.  I wasn't amazed by it, but it was good.   the crackers were unexpectedly tasty.  I would say there is probably better appetizers on the menu to try if it's your first time, though. the chicken tortilla soup was too spicy for me & even if it hadn't been as spicy as it was, I think hemphill's still has better chicken tortilla soup.
the risotto with scallops, though.  YUM.  everything was perfectly cooked & seasoned.  very prettily plated as well.  I would very much recommend this dish.
the second time I went with the in-laws & ordered the almond crusted tilapia with the tomato soup to start. the soup was still a bit spicy for me, but it had these amazing cheese fritters floating in the top of it.  if I could just order a bowl of cheese fritters with a dipping sauce of the soup? that's where it'd be at.
the tilapia came with a buerre blanc sauce that I could've drank, it was so good, and sauteed asparagus with fresh berries.  the berries were unexpected, but perfect with the meal.  the sweet & savoury & salty all melded together wonderfully.  I ordered the dinner portion, which was way too much for one meal, so I got to enjoy another piece of fish at home.
the waitstaff was great both times.  the lunch waiter was a bit more attentive & friendly than the dinner waiter, but he was also much less busy, so that's understandable.
I like the atmosphere a lot - at lunch it's much more well lit, but at dinner they have these spot-lights right above each table so that even though the rest of the restaurant is dim, you can still see what you are eating, which is a great idea.
we only sat in the main dining area both times as my baby (10.5 months) was with us, so I'm not sure about the patio or bar as I haven't visited those.  they were baby friendly & had cute high chairs.  I liked how loud it was at dinner (didn't have to yell, but there was a pleasant rumble of noise btw the music & everyone talking & dishes clanking, if that makes sense?) b/c she was able to babble and participate in dinner w/o being out of place or loud in a really quiet restaurant .
I'm very much looking forward to going back & trying pretty much everything else on their menu b/c it all looks delicious.

Great atmosphere, good music, great spin dip, burgers, stuffed chicken, and caesar salad. Drink was good, too (crown/diet).  We have been here twice and really enjoyed it both times. Also, servers are really nice.

Out server took several minutes to come get our drink order. Wasn't very pleased about that. I was very excited to come eat here for the first time only to find out that the food was ok and it was rather pricy. Again server wasn't the friendliest and this is coming from someone who waited tables before. On the good note the restaurant was nice and it was contemporary very romantic.

Poor service, and I saw staff eating in the food prep area. We left, and the manager was in no way apologetic.

I hate restaurants that advertise great Happy Hour deals then require you to sit on the patio, or in a loud, crowded bar.  It feels like Bait and Switch.  That is why I'm not giving them 5 stars.

The food here is fabulous. Get the disco fries (fries topped with a little it of pot roast, amazing gravy, mozzarella and chives).   I always get the baked potato soup and a pot roast slider..  Hubs got their filet... WOW!   It was melt in your mouth good.

Small lunch menu but they are fast. I had a burger and it was pretty good. Not to much food on the plate (fries). I would go back :)

Probably more of a 1.5 star experience.  We arrived on a Friday night and there was a 45 minute wait.  Generally a good sign for a new restaurant. We made our way to the bar and outside patio area.  The outside patio had several tables ope and we checked with the servers and they said we could sit there without going on the wait.  There was a little chill in the air, but not to cool.  We sat down and a server came up to provide us with menus and to take our drink order.  I ordered a nine ounce pinot grigio but didn't stipulate which one.  I hadn't really looked at the menu so I assumed they just had the one since I was asked.  WE also ordered three appetizers, Calamari, White Bean and Artichoke Hummus, Wild Mushroom and Arugula Flatbread and Pot Stickers.  Unfortunately, the server returned with the news that they were out of the Hummus.  We chilled with what we ordered.  Drinks seems to take forever, but arrived and we had fun.   Eventually the appetizers arrived and one look at the Calamari and my sister in law wondered if it was a full order.  I noticed what little there was, was burnt to a crisp.  Honestly, I have no idea how this plate even left the kitchen to make it to our table.  Waitress came back and we asked her to take it back, but didn't want another order.  We asked what would she recommend and she suggested we get the Spinach Dip.  Frankly, the other appetizers were all just blah.. not good at all.  The only appetizers which was a hit was the Spinach Dip.  Large serving and good bites.

Unlike appetizers which are suppose to get you in the mood to eat more, these provided the exact opposite.  We choose to get another round of drinks and call it a night.

Great atmosphere and great service. They have vegetarian selections on the menu, which I appreciate.  My son had the Angus burger ( he is a carnivore) he said it was very good,  will be back often.

Fun place! Have had lunch and dinner here. Lunch was a great experience, with delicious meal and excellent service. Dinner was not quite as good an experience, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Couple of my friends and I ordered the 4 oz. steak filets, one medium and two medium rare. All came out really well done. The wait staff was very apologetic and got us all fresh filets, which came out much better. One of the managers came to the table to apologize and comped all our meals (even the person who did not order steak).
Because of the great treatment by the staff and the previous perfect lunch experience, I will be back.

So glad this place is open!
The atmosphere is great at all times of day or night, and any place they will have you sited inside the restaurant will be comfy and eye pleasing.
The Outside is beautiful at night time.
I love love love must of their small plates, the other half is in love with their steaks.
Appetizers are a true absean and huge in size.

First time here we ask for a drink that had champagne but they ran out. I ordered baby back ribs but they ran out of it. I order meatloaf which taste like it was sitting in grease juice. I will give the Thai chicken a thumbs up. Going to give it one more shot and see if it was just a fluk.

My family and I (4 of us) went to Houlihan's on a Saturday night. There were a lot of people waiting when we got there, but surprisingly we only waited for about 15-20 minutes instead of 30, like they said it would be.

We started with the Spinach and Artichoke dip appetizer (from the large appetizer menu), and it was very good! Instead of the dip being served with the traditional tortilla chips, it was served with lavash crackers that were drizzled with sour cream, melted pepper jack cheese, and tomatoes. I ordered the Spicy Chicken and Avocado egg rolls, which had a really good flavor, and were pretty filling considering it being an appetizer. My family individually ordered the French Dip, the Tomato Soup, and the Veggie Mini Burger. (see pics) I can't really review these because I didn't try them, but it all looked very good. the Tomato Soup came with fried corn fritters in it, which my mom said were really good! The Veggie Mini Burger wasn't really a patty, but black beans and other veggies mashed up on a bun. Sounds weird, but it had a good grilled taste to it.

I really like how they have a "small plate" menu and a "not small" plate menu. No matter who you are you can find something you like. My sister and I ordered a pitcher of the Tennessee Long Island Iced Tea to share which was really good, and even better since it was only $8! .

Other than all of the food being delicious, the service was incredible! Our appetizer came out in a good amount of time for us to finish and have our food come out not too long after. Our waitress, Effie, gave good suggestions on what to get and checked on us constantly. The last time my parents went there they had a problem with the appetizer coming out way after the meal. They ended up getting that appetizer for free, but this second time they were there, the waitress remembered what had happened and bought us dessert! We ordered the smores fondue for dessert and it was delicious! Came with graham cracker sticks, strawberries and a pot of marshmallow chocolatey goodness.

Not only did they make their mistake right the first time, they actually remembered us and made it right AGAIN by buying us dessert. The manager also came out and talked with us making sure everything was okay. Very, very good customer service! It's obvious that the waiters and management want to please their customers. We will definitely be back!

Came in to try them before they opened. The tomato soup with cheese fritters was excellent, my friend also really liked her Caesar salad. I wasn't crazy for the blackened chicken sandwich but the pot roast was divine. I look forward to future happy hours since they close at 1

Spinach dip is VERY good, and a different take on that dish. must try.

chicken Parmesan is prob my still fav meal here.

this one looks like the other ones, but since this one is new its a lot cleaner lol. the bathrooms in this place are very well thought out and spacious and clean, and modern.

the menus here are very big, a little too big, but thats okay.

the drink selection is great here so many drinks to try from..

this location also cost a little less than the one in the highlands so that was great.

happy hour hours are different here as well.

MUST TRY DESSERTS: CREME BRULE, CARROT CAKE. soo good.

will def be trying to come here a lot more.
