My wife and I saw "IT" at the Hughes Brother Theatre on July 12th. Â This was our fourth trip to Branson and I must say this show was great. Â It was entertaining throughout and the Hughes family was so personable during the performance. Â If we had the vacation time available, we would love to see their Christmas Show. Â I would definitely see this show if you are staying in Branson.
Review Source:An Ok show but not exceptional. Again another show whose amplifiers are turned up to the pain level. Also lots of shows put an artificial reveb (echo) on their systems to enhance the singers talents. Hughes Brothers do this for everyone. Just a way to improve weak singing talent.
Fairly expensive.
I heard so many good things about this show and it was pretty good but once was enough for me. I liked the first half better than the second half, music wise. The first half was fun and had some country and rock and some pop and was high energy. The second half was pretty much ALL broadway and that got a bit old after a while. They are a very talented family and it's so impressive to see the entire family on stage and it's amazing how all of them have such talent!! I think some of the talking parts seemed a bit forced, like maybe over rehearsed...
For me, once is enough to see the show...but it is a must see!! If you haven't seen it, you should see it.
The Hughes Brothers' current show is "IT"! Â And, "IT" is IT! Â
The Hughes Brothers have also moved to the Mickey Gilley Theater.
This is a wonderful show! Â It started out a little slow for me; but, it quickly gained my attention! Â "IT" is terrific! Â A show not to be missed on any trip to Branson!
Six put on a really good show! With no music except what they do with their mouths they did a wide variety of songs that appealed to a crowd that was comprised of all ages including many teenagers and many senior citizens. The main floor of the theater seats 900 and it was 95% full on a Wednesday! They did songs by the Righteous Brothers, Â Rolling Stones. Four Seasons, Kansas, U2, Sinatra and many more, including a gospel segment. They did a touching tribute to their mother followed by gospel music to end the show. This would have been better in the middle of the show because the crowd was not as energized at the end as they were thoughout the beginning and middle of the show.
Still, I recommend this show.
Saw SIX, who are six brothers (out of a family of 10 boys) of acoustical artists. Every sound coming from the stage is from THEM . . . including drums, trains, car chases . . . and, of course, the songs.
It's entertaining and at times rather astounding the sounds they can make.
Their tribute to their mother was touching. And they had a moving tribute to the country and the troops.
I went to a matinee, and found a back way out of the parking lot that kept me from having to drive on the "Strip," which is to be avoided at all costs.
My husband and I visited Branson and went to the Hughes Brothers Theatre to see SIX. Â We opted for the dinner plus the show and were not disappointed. Â We had bbq-glazed chicken, sliced pork, cubed potatoes, green beans plus a dinner salad and cake for dessert. Â We were the youngest people there that were not there with parents by about 25 years. Â But that's what you get in Branson :)
The SIX show was wonderful! Â The brothers are a human band and create really cool sounds. Â The had a wide variety of songs to cover: popular, old country, gospel, and oldies. Â The brothers gave background to their musical history and even had a video montage of their families. Â I would recommend this show to anyone visiting Branson!
We saw Six there. They did a lovely tribute to their mother at the end of the show which I enjoyed and which saved the show for me a bit. Pretty amazing that there are 10 boys in the family but I don't get the raves about the entertainment factor. Â I just had to delete what I had written b/c my mom, who saw the show with me, thought I was being too harsh---so in the spirit of the Branson Bubble, I'm listening to her. ;).
All I will say is that 4 people in a row, 3 members of my family and the guy sitting next to me were either sleeping or falling asleep. Â There are many other good shows to see in Branson.
We went here to see "The Six Brother's" show. They are known as the human band. They literally make all kinds of sounds just from their mouths. No band needed. I'd rather not give the show away i'll just say if you're between the ages of 40-120 then you'll LOVE the show. Most people there were around 60 or 70. So of course the songs they sang were mainly from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Its very entertaining. I just don't think it was geared towards my age group. It is known as the #1 show in Branson. So definitely check it out if you have a chance.
