Hungry Moose Caboose

Had the pleasure of lunching here on Sunday 8/25/2013 We had been camping for the weekend when we left we decided to stop here . The place caught our attention when we had first arrived a small building and it is usually the little Mom and Pop places that have the best food . We were not disappointed they have the best burgers and fries not only that these folks are so kind and friendly. We cant wait to come back Do yourself a favor and stop Bon Appetit

The Depot Dog was fantastic! Bacon, chili, cheese, onions, relish and dog hit the spot. Also try: Trainwreck Burger and the chocolate shake

We blasted through Jefferson today and we needed a treat. We've stopped in Jefferson before for a coffee or an ice cream cone on the east side of the street not realizing the place we needed to be was at 'the Moose'. Jefferson is just a blip on the highway so finding the Red Caboose will be impossible to miss. Drive up, order at the window, anchor yourself at a picnic table (as a previous reviewer pointed out - this is where the wind goes when it is done everywhere else) and jump up to the window when they call your name. It's the best! Today's treat were the malts. Yummy! We raved about them all the way back to town. P.S. I'm waiting to award the fifth star after we try the burgers. They looked and smelled amazing!
