I am sad to say that I come here way too often.  My friends like coming her once a week to talk and blow off some steam.  This place is pretty boring actually.  It's really loud, so it's hard to talk.  The drinks are pretty good and the bartenders are pretty nice.  The seating sucks.  The dj's are eh... It's just not that exciting.  Don't go Friday nights because there is hardly any one there.  It's a good place to have a drink and meet up with friends.  Just don't plan on meeting anyone new.  The place is pretty dirty, but it's a dive bar what ya gunna do?

While I do not know lots of bars and stuff like that, I do know of this one from school days, etc., and it is overall a very safe and sound place with old world charm, Santa Clara style, and old world charm might be quite difficult to find in local places like this.  Some of the "regulars" here have been everywhere and it is a good place to get acquainted with Santa Clara locals; and though I do not really go to bars anymore, this is a place, again with charm and character.  Goodie.

Too smelly during the hot summer months. Get your carpets cleaned!

I am ashamed to say that having been to SCU for four years of undergrad, I never stepped foot into this place until 4 years after I graduated.

This is a dive bar. And by dive bar I mean the quintessential gritty, sticky, you're not really sure what's on your glass and cup kind of dive bar. I have seen dirty, and then there's the hut.

One of the most interesting things about the hut, though, is that it is literally the closest drinking establishment to SCU that's open into the wee hours of the morning. Whether it's a Thursday and you've simply had enough, or a Monday when things are especially tough, the hut is here for you.

I ... can't say that this is the best dive bar ever, but it's got heritage, and character, and probably thousands of SCU students that have come and gone. You can't really buy this kind of history!

The Hut...what can I say about this place? It's a dive, full of SC kids, and has beer pong tables. All in all, that equals a godo time to me. Awesome spot to kick back and enjoy a tallboy PBR with friends and shoot a couple games of pong. They also have a good jukebox with some decent selections if you like rap, oldies, etc.

The owner is actually the son of my old autoshop teacher at De Anza College too, so I def don't mind coming in to support a small business owned by good folks.

This is a COLLEGE bar, hence why it is located about 5 steps across the street from Santa Clara University and why it is constantly filled with college students. If you don't go to SCU, this probably isn't the best bar for you to head to. Yes, this will be filled with a younger age group and the music will be geared towards a younger age group. They play a lot of Top 40 and house music here.

On Tuesday's they have great drink specials, they have a certain special and then they always have 2 for 1 drinks which is a great deal. It is only for particular well drinks but you really can't go wrong. They also let you mix and match. So you can get a Vodka Cranberry and a Rum & Coke for $5. Great Deal.

The place can be pretty crowded on super nights, and really loud. On other nights you will find it pretty empty and very laid back here. If you want the loud music and dancing hit it up on a Tuesday night. Or a Friday/Saturday. The other nights of the week will be pretty laid back. The only downside to this place is that the bathrooms can get pretty gross as they only have one stall that gets really messy. I have definitely seen vomit on the floor in the restroom one too many times.

Overall, The Hut offers students a great time with fun music and cheap drinks!!

I think I'd rather get a frontal lobotomy than return to this bar again. Literally every 19 year old with a fake ID comes here to party and listen to electronic music.

I don't know if it was because I went to the Hut on Tuesday aka Student night or because its so closely located next to Santa Clara University, but I was literally the oldest person there. Also I think I was the tallest person there. This is definitely a short persons bar considering how low the ceiling hangs.

    Enough on the ambience.

The drinks are priced pretty reasonable: 3 shots of Belve for $18
Long line to the bathroom. I didn't even make it in.
The bar must be located on a fault line because I was quite literally staggering and tripping on the cracks and uneven pavement.

All in all, if you're a short, broke, underaged college student this may very well be the place for you. But it's not for me.

    Bathrooms: So extremely disgusting
    Drinks: reasonably priced
Music: extremely loud, but at least it was decent music
Crowd: pretty random, but not super ghetto or anything

The cement in the back patio area is extremely cracked and uneven. But there's a small bar out there which is convienent

I'm still just shocked at how poorly maintained the bathrooms are! EW

This place varies from super empty to super packed, depending on whether or not Santa Clara University is in session. If you're claustrophobic, you should definitely avoid the Hut Thursday-Saturday. But if you like to drink and enjoy rubbing elbows with undergrads, Thursday's the night to go (2 for 1 drink specials, including mixed drinks).

Bottom line, the Hut is a little low-brow but is a great place to pregame before an Earthquakes game; the drinks are stiff and cheap, plus the staff is friendly. But beware of the weekend crowd when school's in session!

DISGUSTING!! The absolute WORST bar I've ever been to. They serve their mixed drinks in 6oz PLASTIC cups, filled to the brim with ice, and then charge you seven dollars for it.  SUCH A JOKE.

The staff are all extremely rude and unprofessional. They show blatant favoritism by not bothering to card their friends and allowing them to start fights, and then not reprimanding them or asking them to leave.

If you WOULD LIKE to contract a DISEASE, drink at The Hut. The establishment is FILTHY! At one point I looked down to see why the floors were so sticky and realized I was walking on carpet COVERED IN GUM!! Smoke trails in from the outside patio area FORCING you to be exposed to 2nd hand smoke.

The dance floor is non existent, causing people to dance by the bar area creating traffic jams and the risk of getting elbowed in the face by a failing drunk person.

I would rather drink a 40oz out of a dirty broken bottle I found in a gutter alone in the street before EVER GOING BACK to this disease ridden hell hole again. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

So now that I've gone to The Hut a handful of times, all of which were on Tuesday nights, I feel that I can give it a decent review.

The Hut is relatively small, so it gets crowded quickly. The dance floor is small, there's no ventilation, and the bar space gets packed to the gills: dexterity will get you your drink(s). On the other hand, there's an outdoor patio area with an additional bar and some splintered tables and benches to sit on - so I suppose that makes up for the tightly-squeezed dance area. Another thing, for the ladies, the restroom is pretty gross, so either hold it, or...hold it?

Aside from The Hut's tiny dance floor, I'm giving it 4 stars because everytime I've gone thus far, the music has been crackin' (that means really good!). The deejays they've had play tons and tons of House music, and also intermix Hip-Hop and other Top 40 Hits. Another aspect to note is how friendly the people are; most are Santa Clara University students (SCU is literally across the street) and other locals.

The Hut hosts a good crowd overall, the drinks are tasty, music is vibrant, and the small li'l dance floor really just tops it all off, haha.

After reading all the reviews, I figured I should check this place out just because its close to the hookah lounge and easy to grab a few drinks then smoke some hookah! Upon walking into this bar, there is a unique smell which lingers throughout the whole place. It is hard to place what kind of smell it is but it grows on you after a while. The bartenders are extremely nice and usually start talking to you upon entering the bar. The one unique thing about this bar is that they have beer pong and a basketball game which you can play!

I would def. recommend this place for someone whose looking to pre-party and then head out for an actual bar or club. The prices here are pretty decent and they have specials everyday. I just went this past Sunday and found out they have $2 mimosas!

I don't find much of a reason to come here, unless you are an SCU student and are of close proximity to the place.  It's quite small inside, fits about 50 people uncomfortably, and as everyone mentions, there isn't much decor other than the dollar bills and business cards tacked onto the roof posted by SCU alumni that have found jobs.  If they for some reason, lose their job, they will then, remove the dollar bill and fend for themselves.  I'm not exactly sure if drinks are cheap...Service here is pretty friendly and the people will recommend chasers and drinks and stuff too which is coool. I didn't smell any piss like people keep mentioning, but maybe I came on a good day...Also, parking is on the street, unless you are an SCU student and have a E permit..there is a E parking lot close by to park in.  Here is a sample listing of drink prices:

    1 shot of patron: $8
1 shot of don julio silver: $8
    1 bottle of Corona: $5

So many memories over the years, from time spent mostly on the back patio to sitting at the bar singing Bon Jovi at top volume.

Cheap drinks, cheap liquor. But I love it.

So I've been playing indoor soccer at Santa Clara for a while now. We aren't very good and we signed up for the wrong league, but for a while one of the guys has been telling us "As soon as we win a game we are going to the hut!"

For some reason, I thought he meant Pizza Hut. I didn't know why anyone would want to go to Pizza Hut to celebrate a victory but I figured that at least we can get enough pizza and beer to feed a bunch of guys.

Well, as I found out this week (The other team started out with fewer players on the field FTW!), "The Hut" did not mean pizza hut, but a dive bar.

It was interesting - there were dollar bills and business cards all over the ceiling. We had a shot of fernet (served in cheap disposable plastic cups with sprite chaser in another plastic cup) and a pitcher of beer.  I can't speak for the price because I didn't buy the round, but it seemed like it was relatively cheap. It had quite a bit of traffic for a bar on a weekday night.  They did have a basketball machine, but not the type where the basket moves back and forth so they only get partial points for that.

If you go to SCU it must be nice to be close to a decent local dive bar, but outside of students and former students who like the place for nostalgic reasons I don't see many good reasons to come here.

First time I've ever been to The Hut....thanks to this SCU person whom i met all the way in Mexico.

First thing that came to mind. "F*ck. i feel old".
Second thing that came to mind. "i need a drink" and for some reason, the second thought just kind of stuck to my brain all throughout the night.

I really don't want to say college kids at all. but there's just no other term to describe the vast majority of the crowd here. hence the reason of feeling Super Duper old...considering I'm really not too old. mid-20's ain't that old. just effin agree, reader.

Some people were chillin, some people were being f*cktards and being annoying proud drunks ("IM DRUNK" -like we need to know, kid?), some were making out, some were dancing, and some were waiting in line to the loo.

The name says it all. it's a little dive bar with a bunch of dollar bills plastered on the ceiling. the bartenders are cool. really fast. the drinks are cheap too.

As the night progressed, i noticed being more comfortable in this little campus go-to bar. Yeah...the guy and i were able to shut everything out and made our own little world in the drunken chaos. yeah it was cute. *blush*

The outdoor area for smokers was okay. You have no idea how many smokers out there didn't smoke their cigarettes right... Newbie smokers a.k.a. blowers. FYI, kid. smoking does not make you cool. And that my friend, comes from me, a Smoker. But if you think so, make sure you smoke your stick right.

Ew, this place SMELLS.  Seriously, this bar needs a makeover and badly.  The floor?  Constantly sticky.  The carpet?  Stained beyond belief.  Why the hell would you put carpet all over the place when drunk SCU kids are just going to spill drinks all over anyhow?  Until someone is ready to take some money out of his/her Aston Martin fund to buy a steam cleaner for this place, I suspect The Hut is going to continue to smell like a pit toilet in a third world country.

Speaking of toilets, what is going ON with the bathroom over here?  The women's restroom looks like a truck stop bathroom.  Everyone knows when you drink, you need to pee, so I feel like the bathroom should be a 5 star location, especially for the ladies ("you want me to sit down on WHAT?!")

Give me a break Hut, I know you feel like you don't need to try because SCU kids are going to come no matter how sticky the floor gets, but please, I'd rather drink a glass of SCU tap water than come back to your skanky bar.

    I love this place.

I've gone here a couple of times with a few classmates to down a couple shots at 4:55 p, knowing we have class at 5pm. It actually makes class just THAT much more interesting, believe it or not.

The place is covered in business cards and $1 bills. I asked the bartender why and he said that when a SCU graduate finds a job, they come there to pin their business card and dollar bill. If they get fired, they can take it down as a means to help them with unemployment. lol, I think that is awesome!

The bartender is nice and the people here are friendly. Love that it's 30 seconds away from campus, but not such a great idea!

    Perfect dive bar!

    Friendly bartenders?  Check.
    Cheap drinks?  Check.
Outside area where you can smoke?  Check.
Outside area where you can sit and smoke with your drink?  Check.

Perfect place to meet a few girlfriends where we can sit and chat and smoke without being bothered by annoying guys.  Like!

Oh, and they have happy hour until 8pm.

It's a campus bar. I want to say I still hate this place, but I can't.

uughhh, this place grew on me.  Also it doesn't hurt that the bartender Anthony is a complete sweetheart.

As much as it's a bar that I would have never expected to find myself in, once I graduate and am long gone from San Jose, I'll admit it - I know I'll miss it :)

Dive bar is right. This may be a blasphemous thing to say as a current SCU Law student, but I'm not sure what the appeal of this place is, other than the proximity to campus. They have about eight beers on tap, but nothing special. Drinks are neither pricey nor cheap enough for my student budget. Also, they don't serve food, other than potato chips! Decor is nothing to write home about either, unless you consider dollar bills stapled to the walls and ceiling interior decorating.

The only reason I come here is when other classmates congregate here. That, and you can walk here from the law school in about 3 minutes. Otherwise, I prefer to do my imbibing elsewhere.

The Hut is literally right across the street from the business building at SCU, so after a long night of classes, my friends and I like to go to the Hut to have a couple of drinks. (Sometimes we even go before class.. but.. then I get the Asian glow and that's no good).

It's definitely a little hole in the wall. But the drinks are cheap, and it's a nice place to lay back and relax. The bartenders are also very friendly. My favorite is Estelle. If you're really nice to her, she'll make you the Hubba Bubba, which is an absolutely delicious shooter. Can't tell you what's in it though--it's her secret.

Definitely not a place to take someone on a date, but if you want to grab a quick drink before or after class, The Hut is great.

This place is awful and the management had bad attitudes. I'm not much of a drinker, so I don't go to many bars, but this definitely ranks in the worst three bars. Maybe even worst one. I went to SCU also, so I had to at least give it a shot, and a re-shot. No good.

The place attracts ghetto clientele and naturally has a ghetto/dirty feel to it, not to mention the alcohol selection is horrible. I think that's why it attracts that sort of clientele. Cheap drinks for cheap people. This also means that the place gets CROWDED with people wanting their cheap alcohol fixes. Steer clear and go to Broncos Lounge down the street instead. Much better.

I this bar wasn't located right across the street from SCU I would give it two stars.  It's a little hole in the wall place with no real appeal other than being in a convenient location.  I can't count how many times I've come here over the years.

Drinks are cheap enough and you can get sloshed quickly (last night was no exception - yay for finals being over!!!).  If you go early, between 5 and 11 you'll most likely rub elbows with MBA students at the bar.  If you go later in the evening it becomes a hot and crowded meat market for the SCU undergrad crowd.  I'm not judging.  Just saying how it is.  I guess in that sense the place is diverse?

Well it was bound to happen.  I knew the place wouldn't be somewhere I would frequent but it's the only dive in the area I hadn't been to.  I decided I had to put my dislike for bars in close proximity to colleges aside.

We were roaming the streets the night before Halloween and decided to grab our first drink at The Hut.  I was surprised it was empty and dirty!  And the restrooms are a claustrophobic nightmare!  Thankfully, the outside area wasn't bad.  We chugged our beers and headed out.  I couldn't bring myself to spend the evening in a shack.

This is one of the few bars in Santa Clara. It's a dive bar though it's a more depressing dive bar than an interesting dive bar. I will become a regular here soon. But the crowd just doesn't seem interesting. It has a lot of Santa Clara townies. If it wasn't for the graduate students showing up, this would have been a total sausage fest. And it was after the grad students left.

But for my purpose, this is a bar where I'll just go to have a drink by myself. Oh, and if you're hanging in a huge group outside with your friends, the Santa Clara police will roll on by. Apparently, they have nothing better to do than try to keep up the suburbia image of SC by pushing all the patrons back inside. Bouncer was very cool in dealing with the police.

I have been to this place twice. The first time I walked in and hung around for maybe three minutes tops before getting the hell out of dodge and going to the buddies house for drinks on the cheap.

The second time came when I was invited by a few different friends, so I thought I would brave the place. It turned out to be a huge mistake. I thought I would play it cheap and order a PBR tall boy and it ran me six bucks! The place was packed toe to toe, not exactly my fancy but other may like it. The crowd is about 80% college bro esque which is another notch lower for this establishment. In addition the carpet floor, ultimate class I may add, seems to be constantly soaked.

There is a small dance floor which I am not much a fan of. Either be a bar or a club... You will never hear anything other than popular hip hop...

Others may appeal to this scene; I am not.

They have a patio area in the back that I didn't know about until recently.  The college crowd tends to trickle in pretty late 11-12ish, at which point the dance floor gets pretty packed.

You're going to be paying city prices for drinks here.  The music is pretty good, (much better than it used to be from what I hear)

Also I recently annihilated some dad's and grads at flip cup here.

My review of the Hut will differ from most other peoples, as I have never been here after sunset.  My experiences at the Hut take place entirely during the afternoon, when the bar is usually empty.

The Hut is a charming little building, with a rather odd tradition:  people tag dollar bills and pin them to the ceiling, often with a business card.  Other than that, the interior is pretty standard: bar, tables, stools, jukebox, TVs.

I come here when there are only one or two people working, and whoever is at the bar is probably waiting for the evening shift change.  It's very calm and serene.  As far as dives go, the atmosphere feels pretty nice during the day.  Windows let in natural sunlight and make you feel happy to be drinking.

The drinks flow and the beer pong table is always available, which is the principal reason I come here to drink during the day.  Beer pong is awesome here, with tables inside and out on the patio.  My friend and I challenge each other here often.   I've spent many an hour perfecting my high arching shots, and if you want to play me, find me here on Mon. or Tues. afternoons.

The Good: Inexpensive drinks, beer pong tables, ESPN on all the tvs, Patio area to sit and drink outside.

Opposite of Good: Very little parking (as it is practically on SCU campus),  today there was a huge pile of trash from the adjacent house dumped right in front of the side entrance.

Verdict: It's a good place to hang out during the day, as long as you enter with the right mindset and expectations.  After all, it is a dive.  Totally recommended!

The first time I walked in here I felt like I was home. See I went to school in a college town (Cal Poly, SLO), so I'm used to the bars being packed with people under 25. To be honest, it's taken some time to adjust to san jo...

But anyway, the drinks are pretty cheap (what's this I hear about 2-for-1 Tuesdays?!) and the girls are pretty cute (the guy who made a comment earlier about fat chicks is an idiot). First time I came hear there was a dj and the dance floor was packed (because it's about 10x10), but definitely had a good time. The second time was on a Saturday, and I was pleasantly surprised to find an empty beruit table. Gave me a chance to show these SCU kids how the game is played :P That is until I got faded after four rounds... Apparently your tolerance drops off fast after college. Who knew?

Walk in and automatically know every wasted face in the bar...doesn't get much better than that when your in college.

The Hut is a SCU landmark. The only times I ever agree to go there are after SCU sporting events to keep the tradition alive.

It is what it is. It's a divey college bar with alumni dollars + business cards pinned to the ceiling for good luck + fortune. The upholstery in the booths is torn up. The carpet is disgusting. The bathrooms are for emergencies only--otherwise, ladies, I suggest you hold it until you get home or can get into a building on campus. Their modern jukebox is kind of a nice addition. And the drinks are cheap.

Rule of thumb ordering drinks there: beer or shots. They don't serve wine, people! You're setting yourself up for disappointment ordering well drinks, too. You don't order Mexican food in Italy, so why would your order anything but beer or shots at the Hut? Keep it simple. There's a great selection of beer here--pick one!

If you're not SCU alumnae or with one, you're a complete loser for coming to the Hut. Stop hating on the Hut.

P.S. I don't recommend you ever visit during the daylight. Not only does the Hut seem even more gross and depressing in full light, but the old men hanging out there are pretty pathetic. A drunk and mumbling one followed me back to campus once after I passed by the bar--scary.

I've been here a couple times during college and after.  Wednesday night is historically the party night at SCU.  I forget why, but I think it was because there was no classes on Thursday for a lot of people back in the day or everyone had their Tuesday/Thursday classes in the afternoon or classes only on Monday-Wednesday or something.  But yeah, during the school year, not during dead week, this place gets pretty poppin on Wednesday nights.  They got a DJ and yeah.

Decor is pretty much as grungy as your typical dive bar can get.  A lot of $1 bills with names, signatures, and phrases pinned all over the walls.  Bras pinned on the wall behind the bar.  A jukebox music player on the wall.  Beer pong tables.  Small ass dirty bathrooms.  Some couches and chairs and tables.  Some TVs behind the bar to get your ESPN on.  And a small patio in the back to smoke or hang out at.

They also charge cover over here from time to time after 10PM-11PM or so, usually $5 on Wednesday nights and weekends I believe, which isn't worth paying EVER.

The crowd is kind of your typical SCU party demographic wise.  I thought it was funny and fucked up when their management made a new dress code for that place.  It's a dive bar for crying out loud.

*No hats on backwards - Meaning if you're not tall and white (or a girl) and wearing a trucker cap on backwards or a SCU student with a valid student body card, then they don't accompany nicely to people wearing fitted new eras in crazy colors that teams don't actually wear or fitted caps by "gangster" brands like Crooks & Castles or G-Unit or whatever.
*No visible tattoos on your neck - Unless you're a white guy with something fruity or not so "A.I. gangsta with it" or a girl.
*No visible piercings anywhere other than on your ears - Unless you're a white guy or girl and don't look too extreme with it.
    Etc. Etc. Etc.

Not sure how strict they actually are at implementing this dress code, but Britannia Arms in Downtown San Jose currently has a similar dress code now too, but it's more reasonable for them to have one for obvious reasons.  And The Brit even has DJs and live musical performances there too, and they never charge cover over there.

I honestly think they just did that cause everyone said a bunch of black guys were going there to swoop up on all the SCU Snow Princesses, and the white frat boys at SCU got all sad and scurd or something.  I could care less, since I only go there on rare occasions.  But yeah, bars next to Jesuit Catholic Universities should cherish diversity, culture, and self-expression too.

2 stars for my Senior Capstone professor buying out the bar, pounding shots, and playing beer pong with us after the last day of class senior year.

They also have a dads and grads drinking affair here that starts at like 6AM on Graduation Saturday morning.  But yeah, my dad don't drink, and I rarely drink before sundown and never drink before breakfast and lunch.

Steve Nash was drinking here on a Sunday night back in 2006 before the first day of the 2006-2007 school year.  My friends saw Terrel Owens here once back in 2005 I think it was and yelled out RED ROVER, RED ROVER, SEND T.O. OVER from across the street and T.O. ran in place like he was about to bust a Right Guard commercial.  They said he was surrounded by big black body guards and white women.

As a bar, this place is two stars, kinda dive-y but not in a good way.  When the bar is packed you can wait damn near forever just to get a drink because it seems there's only one person working.  There were random girls jumping in behind the bar to cash in people's tabs for some reason but no other person to pour any drinks.  Thankfully, I already killed two pitchers at Mondo Burrito before I came to the Hut.

But at least they let us be a little bit rowdy after an Earthquakes game, jumping up and down singing songs.  If it wasn't for the fact that I was already drunk from Mondo Burrito/Quakes game, I'd wouldn't come in at all.

When I went to law school this apparently was the place where everyone was encouraged to gather socially.  I rather despised coming here and was most of the time so bored I wanted to beat my head with a hammer or challenge myself to count the white dots on the ceiling.

It's bad enough that I didn't have a life in law school to begin with.  It's another to have had to come here with law school classmates and talk about none other than law school.  After living in school, the last thing I wanted to do was talk about it, yet most classmates seemed to HAVE to talk about it just to fill the dead air.  I couldn't give a shit whether there was dead silence; most times I just wanted to drink a few beers in peace and not have to hear about Property, Torts or Civil Procedure.

Besides all the useless yakking, the reviews are true.  The prices tended to be inconsistent.  They were probably making up for all the non-tipping poor ass students walking through.

The bar itself was indeed a dive but a really boring dive.  Yeah it had the standard pool table but there was no dive-like edge. I think dive I think low level light, some guy sneaking a burning cigarette in the corner, rock music, some alcoholic who looks like he's been there since 9 a.m., old Harley guys trying to dance with cougars drunk as shit.  This place barely had any of that.  I was never entertained coming here and could never escape the clutches of school since most classmates frequented this place with reckless abandon.

Probably the only spot to go to on Wednesday nights. When I went there, it was packed to the dome. Nowhere to move, dance, or walk. I felt like I was gonna get into a fight there cuz ppl kept bumping and pushing. The crowd there is mixed, mostly White with some Black and Hispanic folks. Us being Asian, we were the shortest people there, haha I couldn't see over anyone!! The bathroom is super small and dirty. The outdoor patio is cool. True, the drinks aren't super huge, but they do put hella alky in there. I remember I ordered a LC there and that shot was literally a triple shot.

DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT ACROSS FROM THE HUT!! I did and got a $40 ticket, bastards!

This place is bad, really bad.
    There are no bar stools.
    Two drinks cost us $10.
The drinks came in Costco plastic cups, no more than 10oz.
My friend ordered a Gin and Tonic...same plastic cups, no limes.
The patio was filled with trash and stuffed garbage cans.
The flooring  was encrusted with ancient gobs of prechewed chewing gum. Lovely.

The place is super dirty, super sleazy and super creepy.

    Watch your back.
