I had high hopes for this restaurant when I saw it, but was really disappointed by the food (I should have look it up on Yelp before dining here). It is in a great location, and has a great look. Wait staff were adequate in speed and service for lunch.
I ordered a Reuben, which was terrible. The bread was burned, the corned beef was bland (in an Irish pub, really?), the sauerkraut was over cooked and had no bite, I don't know what kind of cheese they used (Velveeta or a white American maybe?) but it was not Swiss, and there was only a hint of Thousand Island. The only saving grace is they didn't put mustard on it. On another note, I ordered the coleslaw, and that was pretty good.
I could see stopping in here after work for a pint or two, but I would not recommend the food.

Worst reuben I've had anywhere.  For an "Irish Bred"" pub you think that would be there go-to sandwich.  They do not use real swiss.  Instead, they use a processed american swiss which tastes just like kraft american cheese.  My bread was soggy from sitting on the plate for too long before bringing it out and it tasted like a mediocre grilled cheese with some corned beef inside, little kraut and a little schmere of 1000 island.  I had to send the sandwich back because it was that disappointing.  Their fires are so-so.  They're just not my style classic thick cut fry.

There was a guy sitting next to us who came in about 8 minutes later and got his reuben almost 10 minutes before our food came out.  I was there with a buddy who got the black and blue burger so our order should not have taken nearly as long as it did.

My buddy's burger was also terrible,  He ordered it medium and got it overly well done.  There was zero blackening seasoning on the burger so because it was so well done and it was missing the "black" part of the black and blue burger he also sent it back.

The restaurant does have a cool atmosphere and a decent selection of beers on tap however I don't think I'd ever go back based on the food I saw and tasted.  Such a shame.

Neat place, great job on the build out. Seems to get overwhelmed when busy, basic management stuff. Still I would say give it a try.

New location in a re-done building, lots of exposed brick. Three levels to choose from, the ground floor is basically classic Irish pub decor inside, second floor is more like a standard sports bar, third floor is more like a dance floor.  The balcony on the second level was lovely for a late outdoor lunch. There wasn't a huge lunch crowd and I didn't notice any of the problems with service other reviews have noted. They don't serve full entrees until after 4 pm so you're limited to appetizers and sandwiches.

Feels more like a bar on weekend nights, but the kitchen is still open and the ground floor still feels like more of a restaurant. There were more people in the evening, but the service and food was still quick to come. Great sandwiches with plenty of meat, the Reuben and their version of a club sandwich are both very good. Large beer selection as well as full liquor bar.

It's great that establishments like the Irish Bred Pub are opening up in downtown Montgomery. I was really excited when I heard about it. We need more businesses and restaurants to revive the Gump's downtown core, and having a viable nightlife on Dexter Avenue is one way to go that. Unfortunately, this pub has a long way to go yet before it can be a viable dining option for me or, I suspect, for many other people. My experience there was problematic. I went there on a Friday night. The pub has a great location and atmosphere. The balcony offers a wonderful view of the state Capitol, and the pub's venue is a beautifully restored nineteenth century building. But location and atmosphere are not enough to build and keep a customer base. My party of four waited for nearly a half hour to attract the attention of a server. The wait staff were conscientious and doing their best, but they seemed clearly overwhelmed by the crowd. Granted, it was Friday night, and the place had been opened for only a few weeks. All the same, is it reasonable to wait for close to an hour for my food order to arrive at my table? The argument that this is a recently-opened establishment and that it is simply working out the kinks can only stretch that far. The fact that I then had to wait for another ten minutes for silverware did not make things any better. The food itself was Ok - nothing above decent bar food, but not bad on the whole. I will come back here again in a few months and give the place another chance, but the management has got to get its act together. The kitchen has got to start processing food orders more efficiently, the servers have got to be more on the ball, and the system for seating customers at tables and matching them with servers has got to become more streamlined and efficient. For the time being, I highly  recommended the pub as a place to grab a drink before or after dinner, or to have lunch or dinner on a quiet day. Don't go there, however, if you plan to have a full pub experience on a busy night - like the weekend, for instance.  In conclusion, I am waiting, Irish Bred Pub - you can do much better than this.

Typing snippets as i go. Having lunch. Place is new (week running). Great location near Montgomery capitol area. Clever decor inside. Old brick walls. Not overwhelmed w wall flare and too many tvs. Fish sandwich great, lightly breaded and appropriately portioned. Seems like this place has started on the right foot - it hopefully will take advantage of those state bureaucrats down the street!
