We were in Billings in early June, 2013 for a convention. Jakes was right across the street from our hotel. Arrived in town on a Thursday and popped over to Jakes for dinner.
We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. When she read the specials of the day, I just had to try the crisp pork belly with lump crab meat in a chipotle Bearnaise sauce. I had never before seen pork belly on a menu. My wife ordered cedar plank salmon. Both were served hot and the flavor was excellent! We liked it so much that we ate there again on Saturday night with some fellow conventioneers. Even though the crispy pork belly was not on the menu, our waitress was able to have the chef cook up another helping of it for me. This time it had a mushroom sauce. It again was excellent.
I highly recommend Jakes if you happen to be in Billings!
