The Rock Pile Bar & Grill

This place has a nice patio outside to sit as well as a pretty big bar and tables inside. They have a limited dinner menu and lots of good beers. They were able to accomodate for our big dinner party on a Friday night and were also able to make our nachos vegetarian with beans even though the menu only had meat. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She kept track of us when we switched tables after it started raining and also picked out a really good beer for me.

Had lunch here today.  No, I take that back--ordered lunch here today, but it took so long, we asked to get our food to go.  Waited another ten minutes.  Got up to leave as we were late getting back to our meeting.  Waiter brought our lunches to our car out the kitchen door.  We paid him and left.  No intention of returning.  This isn't the first time we've had slow service and there always seems to be an excuse.  Fifty minutes is too long to wait for a taco salad.

My parents and I ate here last Friday, and then again today. Last week, service was slow, but manageable, but today, I wanted to leave and go somewhere else. Sat on the deck and had two other tables of people, one of which was getting ready to leave. We sat down and waited for a couple minutes, and then three other tables of people came up onto the deck. Waitress looked RIGHT AT US, and then proceeded to take orders for every other table BUT us. Finally, another waitress came out and came to ask us our drink orders; this took almost 15 minutes. We informed the waitress of what had happened with the other waitress, and she apologized. By then we were ready to order, so we ordered our three dishes and asked if it would be possible to have them put in front of the other tables orders, since they should've been taken first. Waitress said they were really busy, but she'd try. Waited and waited for food- everyone else got theirs before we got ours; guess she couldn't get it pushed up. Anyway, food was ok although I was told the prime rib was subpar. I was in a hurry because it had taken 40 minutes for this whole process, so I looked at the waitress, made eye contact with her, and she proceeded to blow us off again! Walked right passed me to a table behind us. I finally just stopped her and said I needed to pay and gave her my card and receipt. Had to rush back to work after rushing through eating because it took so long. My parents and I will be finding a new regular Friday place unless the waitress in the white sunglasses gets fired. Not worth dealing with her.
