Jakson's Steakhouse

Rolled into Childress late and decided to give Jakson's a try. Nice new clean place. Friendly service. The hostess knew the folks ahead of us. Always a good sign. We split the barbecue sampler and it was more than enough food. Fall off the bone rib. Tender and juicy chicken with a nice smoke flavor. Good sausage. Only complaint was the brisket. Good flavor just not enough of it. Pretty good beer selection in bottles but only Bud Light on draft. Will definitely stop by again if the timing is right.

This is fine. I read some local reviews that I didn't find fair. Look, it's not a Big city, choices are limited, but I had a Very nicely prepared ribeye at a fair price, my wife nice fried chicken salad. All prepared as we would expect it anywhere. You can have a glass of wine, people are nice.  I'm passing thru...I'll come here again. They need to serve real butter though.

Steaks and Bar-B-Que

The food is meh...I think its more the cooks fault than the quality of the product. I haven't had a steak there that was cooked how it was ordered. The advantage of it over the other guys would be the serving of alcohol and the tv's. Food can be ok but usually isnt worth the price.
