This place has a few things going for it, more than a few things going against it.
I'll start with the positives. The joint is comfortable and clean. The service is very friendly and prompt.
My one and only complaint, unfortunately, Â is a key one. The food, while not bad, is the most featureless and bland I believe I've ever had. I've been here twice now with the same impression. Â
It might be a decent enough place for a beer and to watch a game but the food requires a huge dose of creativity to be elevated to adequate bar food.
Have eaten here twice. Â Service is ok in the bar area. Â Have not eaten in the dining room area. Â They are quick to come by initially but afterwards they can be spotty. Â The burgers are good, big, and juicy. Â The mac and cheese is a nice change in side options. Â Have had the sliders and the smokey burger. Â Side salad and soup is a good deal, too, around 7 bucks. Â The Foxbarrel Cider is also nice and crisp. Â Have been there during lunch only and is never too packed. Â Parking on the street can be difficult being that it is located downtown.
Review Source:We had a nice experience on our first visit. So much so my daughter came back the next night for the boneless wing special.  There are two parts to Jersey's, the First Ave side is an L-shaped bar with a sports bar theme, something CR never seems to have enough of.  If that's not your scene, go across the hallway you will  find a more formal dining room including a private cove for a small party. You get the same good food at bar & grill prices. They have some good daily specials, such as 50-cent wings, 60-cent tacos and drink specials.
