I love the local dive feel for this place. Don't look to close because there is dust and crud accumulated, but hey, you aren't eating off the tables.
The beer is great and they have Guinness on tap, so that is a great thing.
The sandwiches are average, but the appetizers are amazing. I have yet to have a better fried mushroom any where and the cheese logs are amazing (can't call 'em sticks cause they are too big!)
They also have smoked food on the weekend. Not so great for those who like meat smoked correctly (Kansas City BBQ Society standards). For those who like a sweet sauce slathered on overcooked pork, then you'll be fine. It is better than HY-VEE. The sweet potato side is amazing!!! I really recommend that.
The price on sandwiches is climbing a little higher than they are worth.
Perfect place for chilling with friends, drinking beer and scarfing down apps.
