I feel like I was in a completely different bar than the other reviewers. Walked in mid-week at 9pm and experienced a very wholesome place- brightly lit, clean...quite vanilla. Not even close to being a dive bar!
Seems like they're going for a Western saloon feel with the cool knotty pine walls and a few trophy heads, but the other newish, old-fashioned decor on them was trying way too hard. Even had a very family-oriented vibe. There were a handful of others in the place (none toothless); all seemed to know each other as though they were family. One beer here was enough, then off to find a better place.
Joannies is the best dive bar ever, complete with a jukebox and regulars incomplete with missing teeth. I only docked it one star because creepy old men tend to lurk here and have no shame and definitely no game. The point is- there are cheap drinks, a sweet bar tend, two pool tables, and peanuts. Also, they open at 11:00 AM. Don't judge me.
Review Source:It's a hole-in-the-wall for sure. Â It'll be hard to find a seat in this place after 9pm, but there's plenty of standing room. Â This shouldn't be a destination for anyone that isn't a local. Â But the drinks are moderately priced so as to give it some consideration for a pre-game spot.
Low-key and definitely not for everyone.
Trust me...
Hahahaha if you are looking for the smallest, crappiest, white trash dive bar hang out spot this is it. I have the pleasure of knowing this place  because I lived next door to it for two years. Its in a very cute area of historic downtown Murrieta, and I think it really brings down the area. However I have witnessed a lot of awesome drunk fights around 2am right from my living room window. Ahhh the not so good old days.
