A co-worker of mine brought me here after work, as it's her domain. Â This place is basically an old ranch house (Judy's house!), who's living room area had been renovated into a bar. Â There were six or seven people in there and when I entered without my friend I felt they all made eyes at me. Â A "Who's this guy?" vibe. Â I made damn sure I didn't sit on any one's reserved seat. Â This is a small bar, emphasis on local. Â
Over the course of the evening I found out everything from the best pizza joints in town to the UNTOLD back story on the Michael Corbitt murders. Â At the price of a couple of two dollar bottles, the evening was quite lucrative in my opinion.
Swung in here before a WinterHoliday party the other. My drinking buddy and myself pulled in the empty parking lot and wondered aloud if it was open.
We walk in. "The Jonas Brothers are here!" from the regular at the end and her friend, another regular. We pull up and grab a few cheap beers. 2.50 for MGD is all right in my book.
The decor is interesting, half tiki bar, half Vegas.
Judy, the bartender, is a gem. Before dishing out the bag of pretzels, she checked out the expiration date and joked about it. Typical bar banter while trying to find a solid pizza joint for a patron through her folder of menus. She treated us well, and wants us to return...once the youngest Jonas Brother gets an ID.
