We went here for drinks only so I can't comment on the food. The bar looks cool, LOVE the outside patio, but they need to revamp the staff. One gal with short hair was nice and helpful. The others seemed to think they were on social hour and wanted to party with their friends that were at the bar. Maybe you need to be a friend of the bartenders to be treated like a regular but hey, I guess it's not Cheers. Could be a great little place if they reevaluate who is working on weekend nights. Might give it one more shot since its close to home, but after that I will go to Bronson Rock or Baja Mex if it isn't any better.

My husband and I ate here one time and did not go back.  He ordered the wings and they were so salty he could not even eat a few of them.  It is not very tavern like at all and they did not have a beer selection to in my mind even qualify to have Tavern in their name.  Service was so so but nothing to be excited about.

Ok, not sure why this place opened up next to the best bar BBQ joint in Keller. Call me prejudice,  this place is just ok. The burgers are dry, French fries good. The staff was nice, but not memorable. It's nice to try something different but also if this is a tavern then why not have more selections of beer. They were limited and no Cider beer so I am out of luck.  I know Cider beer is not served everywhere but Up In Smoke has it on tap.

I've been to Keller Tavern a few times and have enjoyed it each time.

their onion rings, cheesy crisscut fries and sweet potato tots are to die for! We've ordered their wings a couple of times and they're awesome each time. I've ordered the honey lemon pepper wings (grilled wings here) which come served piping hot and tasty as can be.

The only thing on the menu that I wasn't crazy about was their burger but i chalk that up to personal preference. although the burger was a good size (I'm guessing a half pound?) it was cooked a little dry in my opinion but maybe next time I give it a try they can cook it a little less well.

service was decent, food took a little time arriving but since we were hanging out with friends it didn't matter much.

the noise level wasn't very loud aside from the lone drunk in the corner who was screaming at the TV during the game. This place IMO is a place to hang out, not necessarily to go see a game even though they were playing the game on a few screens.

Be warned: parking is a bit of an issue since it shares a lot with quite a few other businesses

Keller Tavern isnt perfect but its a great addition the Keller which normally favors establishments like Chilis and Applebees.

I never write reviews but this experience is worth documenting so others can beware.

Wife and I went to have a couple drinks and some food this evening and it was not what we expected. We ordered drinks and asked for a menu. Great so far... Got our drinks and ordered 8 wings, and a bratwurst sandwich.... Finished our first drink and ordered a second... When the waitress brought us our second drink it made her realize that we had ordered food and she forgot to place the food order... She didn't write it down the first time so we had to repeat our order for her... Finally after more than our hour we got the wings, but no bratwurst.. At this point it wasn't worth reminding her, or placing another order we just wanted out. I understand that people are human, and make mistakes, but one it wasn't busy, and two, our waitress was drinking shots with a table full of people sitting on the deck... Hmmmm wonder if that played a role in our poor experience. I will give her credit because she did not charge us for the second drink when she realized she did not place our food order the first time around.

Keller now has many choices and I think its safe to say that we will not be going back to Keller Tavern anytime soon.

Had lunch here on Monday with 3 co-workers.  The bar had a big banner on the front of the building stating "voted best wings in Keller" so we thought we'd give it a shot.  Its a cozy little bar, nice patio area and if all you want to do is drink, its probalby okay.  The menu is limited to typical pub food, some sandwiches, burgers, cheese fries, wings, etc.
Only the bartender was working.  She got our drink orders wrong to start off with.  They were out of tea and the sodas tasted nasty because they came from the bar mixer.

It also took 30 minutes to get our wings.  The wings were neither the best in Keller nor particularly good.  I guess only the owner "voted".  The buffalo style wings were, mainly, salt flavored.  They had no heat at all, were salty and oily.  One of my co workers had the honey lemon wings and he said those were okay.  As a bonus, the prices, at least for wings, was higher on the menu than what we were charged.  Contrary to a previous review, our wings did come out with celery and dressing although this isn't a big wow factor for me.

We should have known from the sparse lunch crowd that the food was not a draw in this pub.  I don't think I'll be giving this place another chance on food service.  I'd go enjoy their shaded patio for a beer though.  I'd just make sure to order the pint since reading the other reviews that say you get less for a higher price with the schooner.

Better wings to be had at Bronson's Rock, a hundred yards down the street, or at Funky Baja's and even at No Frills Grill.  Both Funky Baja and No Frills are a mile or less away.

I agree with the other posters on this place being a bit too small and the beer selection leaves you wondering why they call it a tavern. If I want generic beer I can get that at any other place in Keller. This place is WAY too loud and way too small with nothing to be offered except prices that are too high to justify a visit. Not too impressed won't be back.

PSA: Ordering a beer? Do the math. There was a seasonal beer special on the Sunday (night) of our visit.  On offer was the Rahr and Sierra Nevada seasonals, $2 for a pint, $3 for a schooner. After ordering a schooner (bigger is better, right?), I started to ponder it's size. Now to be a deal, it would need to be at least 24+ ounces, but the more I looked at this glass, the more I became convinced there was no way it was 24 ounces. I asked the bartender how many ounces are in the schooner and he told me 18 (an Internet search implies 20). Therefore, at a 50% higher cost, I was only getting 12.5 to 25% more beer. I felt like a schmuck. From now on, it's pints for me.

We also opted to try the chicken wings tonight, and though flavor options are limited (Buffalo or Honey Lemon Pepper), they were tasty. Very tasty. In fact they are at the top of our list for wings in Keller. The sweet of the one flavor played nicely against the heat (though subdued by my standard of "hot") of the other. At $18 for 24 wings it struck me as reasonable too. But I do need to add that the wings were cooked a bit under. So if you are squeamish about pink chicken (I'm not), you might want to check one of the larger pieces before digging in. Also the wings were not served with celery by default, but this was quickly remedied by asking (and it cold and very crisp celery, so yum).

Bottom line: A solid place for a beer and some food. One of these days I still want to try those "Great Balls of Fire."

PS. Looks like lots of shenanigans going on for St. Patrick's Day. Check the website for details.

Great place to chill out without all the fluff of a carnival atmosphere. If you have an iPhone you can play the jukebox using an app. Bummer that it cost 50¢ a song. Other than that, this is not a restaurant but a TAVERN that offers bar food. My new place to chill for a bit after work.

Had lunch today with my wife. They don't seem to have food service down yet.  Had no iced tea at all,  Ran out of that and diet coke on tap.  True bar food only...even salads are bar food.  World smallest fork for a salad.  Food overall was ok.  Hope they expand the menu if they want to bring more than a bar crowd.

My wife and I wanted to try some of the newer local restaurants and we settled on the Keller Tavern. We went on a Friday night and they had live music, which was nice. We assumed, correctly I might add, that we just seat ourselves. The inside of the tavern was very nice and there wasn't any smoking (big plus). It seemed to take the server at least 5 minutes to bring us a menu. We settled on 2 appetizers, chips/queso and the meatballs. The chips and queso were brought out about 10 minutes before the meatballs were brought out. It tasted like Velveta with Rotel, which we don't mind, so that was okay. When the meatballs finally arrived, there were only 4 of them, and they came with a few fries and celery. They were pretty good. The big issue that we had was the fact the service was horrible. We asked for more chips and NEVER got any. She never brought us refills on our drinks and in fact, only visited our table 2 times before coming back to take our dirty plates and give us our check. The place wasn't that busy to warrant such atrocious service. If we do ever go back, we'll probably just sit at the bar as that appeared to have the best service in the establishment.

Visited around 5 pm this past Saturday night. Parking  is limited and we needed to park not only behind the building , but in the laundry mat parking lot. The building its self, very pretty! Floors and bar very pretty! Love the look of the outdoor patio.
Unfortunately that is where the compliments end.
When we walked in, 3 adults and 2 teens... no one greeted us as we wondered around looking for a table to sit at. After finally settling on one, we shared one menu that was already at the table . No one offered to bring any additional menus, and we waited for 5-8 mins before someone bothered to come by the table and ask for drinks. When asked " do you have any Happy hour specials?" the reply was" we have an 8 hour happy hour!" ok that's lovely, but WHAT are the specials?"  we never found out.....
Service was very slow, they were quite busy filling drinks for the patrons at the bar. Food took a long time to come out, though it was correct. Queso was burnt and inedible. Club came out dry ( menu did not specify that there were any mayo or spread, but really who serves a dry Club?) Took several requests to have mayo brought to the table , and then even more time was needed to scrounge up some silverware.
As more people filed it, the noise level was unbelievable, I think the high empty ceiling which looked so pretty just reverberated the noise.
If you just go for drinks your experience might be different, but its clear the serving staff has alot to improve on .
