I really enjoy the atmosphere here, especially when the windows are open. Its a pretty unique place, with lots of TVs, and the employees have always been beyond accommodating.
My only complaint with Kenny's is the food itself. The menu isn't huge, and while I've ordered a variety of entrées, from the burgers to the steak, the food just isn't that great. The prices are decent though, and they do offer a rewards system.
Exceptional service with TERRIBLE food. Tonight I was there for my father's birthday. My boyfriend and I split the Caribbean Pot Fries- terrible. For $5 I expected so much more. The fries were bland and the dill dip was nothing more than sour cream with onion powder. I maybe had 7 pieces of  pineapple, onions, jalapenos (COMBINED) thrown on the fries! There was nothing "Caribbean" about them.
I ordered the Turkey avocado burger. It was nothing more than a dry, tasteless frozen turkey burger and the roll was borderline stale.
This place prides themselves on their "compelling cuisine"- I think not.
I would give this place 1 star but our server was a sweetheart.
Never going back again. What a waste of money
I wanted to like this restaurant since it was such an interesting and cool place! Â I visioned going back on a nice day since the garage type windows all open up and looked like it could really be a fun place to dine. (It was too cool outside to open this time.) Â The restaurant was not crowded for lunch...a few tables occupied. Â My coworker & I each ordered a salad and started with soup. Â The Butternut squash soup was delish. Â The french onion... she got... looked like it needed more cheese. Â Her salad was with talapia fish and dressing on the side. (that's the way to do it!) Â I ordered the scallop salad and I did not order the dressing on the side...unfortunately. Â When the salads arrived I was impressed with the appearance. Â Greens were plump and fresh, scallops were nicely blackened...like any fancy restaurant... generous portion...it all looked great as it arrived. Â BUT...within seconds...my salad transformed. Â Soooo much dressing made the salad soupy and gooey...yuck. Â The scallops were rubbery and not good. Â I am not sure if they were over cooked or undercooked...but I could not eat them. Â I was very disappointed. Â I tried hard to endure as I did not want to ruin the nice time by complaining but I felt like it was "Fear Factor" food (TV Show). Â I set it aside. Â Unfortunately the waitress NEVER checked on us and we ran out of time for me to change my order so my $14 was credited back on my bill. Â Our glasses needed to be refilled also...oh well. Â I guess I won't be back anytime soon as I visioned.
Review Source:Today, my hubby and I decided to drop by Kenny's on recommendation of "good wings" after driving by it for almost two years ... should have stopped in sooner! Wings were great, a burger with broccoli rabe, mushrooms, onions and horseradish, awesome! and shepard's pie, excellent, with a good balance of meat, veggies and mashed potatoes. Service was prompt and corteous. Now onto the entertainment!
We had no idea but apparently they have live entertainment on Sunday evening (not sure about other days) so we stumbled upon a blues group called Steve Guyger, a bunch of 1st class musicians and singers. What a treat! These guys look like they have been around, and boy do they know their stuff! Perhaps not for 20-some year olds but it was perfect for us and a lot of other middle-aged aficionados. If you enjoy jazz and blues, there is no need to track down to Atlantic City's House of Blues, these guys were just as good! Remember Zanzibar at the Bellevue in Center City? We enjoyed this group at Kenny's just as much, and it's within a ten minute drive from our house. We will happily return!
P.S. Just to be clear, I am not in the habbit of giving out 5 stars but I was really blown away by the whole atmosphere. Kudos to Kenny's!
Wow Kenny's! Â How you grew up! Â I remember cramming into tiny Kenny's to watch bands play with a bunch of friends during winter break and summers. Â But now Kenny's is a giant "Family Eatery" and it's really nice. Â Have been here a few times, good beer selection with knowledgeable bar staff, food is always tasty and prices are fair.
Review Source:Kenny's is a great place if you're looking for happy hour specials. All appetizers, beer, wine & well drinks are 1/2 price Monday - Friday from 4 - 6. They have a pretty varied appetizer menu, so if you're looking to save $$ you can easily eat an appetizer dinner. I recommend the chicken quesadilla & the Caribbean pot fries.
Review Source:Been hearing about Kenny's for a long time and finally got there! Â Loved the open-air (screened) dining area and bar. It was a beautiful evening, so the cool breeze came through while keeping the bugs at bay. Â Nice menu, with the standard appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, with a decent selection of beer and drinks. Â Nice, casual atmosphere, family friendly. Â We left at around 9:00 pm, and it looked like Kenny's rolls out the music, dance floor, etc. for the young, late night crowd.
Review Source:Three words - Pumpkin Pie Martini!!! Â Holy cow - it was awesome :)
I also had an amazing crab bisque and a few appetizers. Â Finished dinner up with an apple cake that was warm and awesome. If you can't tell - we were perfectly happy with the food and drinks :) Â
The atmosphere is great too, the location good and the staff super friendly and prompt.
This is a great spot to stop for a happy hour or a quiet dinner on a Sunday night.
really good people own this joint. they care about their business and their clientele. good drinks! good food! good service! good pricing, very reasonable!
good good good.
i'm getting too old for the 20 something crowd that goes with the live music, but they got it! lots of eye candy for both boys and girls. kenny's is a real good time!
good good good
I've been to this place a total of two times so far, and it felt like a completely different place both times. Â The first time, I went on a weekend night over Thanksgiving weekend, and it was dark, packed wall to wall with people, and was very much like a club inside. Â The place was full of sweaty, dancing, drinking 20-somethings, complete with sticky floor and long line for the women's room (but they had someone selling Philly Pretzel Factory soft pretzels outside the bathroom, so it was perfect - lots of gals forgot they were in line to pee and went to buy pretzels instead). Â It was fun, but I basically figured the place was a hopping night spot.
I went back today, and I realized it's actually a really nicely decorated, spacious, sunlight-filled sports bars with lots of tv's, friendly waitresses/bartenders, and a good beer selection. Â Basically, this place has a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde thing going, and I like it. Â If it wasn't so far away from my house, I might go here more often.
OK place to for drinking, dancing or some combination thereof. The crowd varies depending on the time of year. For example, college kids pack the place over winter break. Drinks are average priced, music is average. Everything is average. Only thing is, there's always at least a $5 cover on the weekend. Not always worth it.
