Until about 5 or 6 years ago, we went to the Kopper Kettle frequently for seafood until we found Lew's Dockside in Glenside; seafood is awesome at Lew's (but parking is terrible...the lot is tiny).  About 6 weeks ago and again about 2 weeks ago, we decided to try the Kopper Kettle again.  Both times we had the same experience...the waitresses are so busy hugging and chatting to the regulars that they ignore everyone else!  We were NEVER asked if we wanted a second drink the entire time we were there.  The crab cake was pretty good and the portions were a nice size.  One of the reasons we quit going to the Kopper Kettle before was that sometimes the breading tasted moldy; I didn't notice that this time, probably because of the strong, fishy-tasting flounder.  lol  Anyway, I still regret tipping the waitress the last time we were there so we probably won't be going back for a very long time, if ever.  Advice to the Kopper Kettle, your regulars can only spend so much money...you need new customers if you want to survive in the restaurant business.
Review Source:Gotta say, for a small place out in the middle of nowhere, great food!! We showed up with 12 or more people- Rose handled us- difficult task- but the seafood is fantastic here! The raw clams were the best I have ever had - anywhere! Â They have a fish soup that is rich and fantastic- ( get a cup if you're getting a meal.... hearty!) . Kept poor Rose workin her butt off and she was bringin the drinks and couldn't stop with the food and dealing with a roudy crowd. We filled the place up but enjoyed every minute of it. Great value ,great food. This is not just a pub with pub food. It's a simple place with great food. Our hotel recommended it so thanks Crowne Plaza for the recommendation. Will be back for sure when in the area.
