Not sure if it was just today, or if it's a new thing, but my son and I got the smallest ice cream cones ever. When we were here last summer, they had nice sized cones, but today the fellow scooping served up very skimpy portions. We're talking smaller than one might expect at a Baskin-Robbins. I thought maybe we had gotten the kids size by accident, but we were charged full price... Unimpressed...

The fish and chips were good.  What else can I say...just what I was in the mood for. Service was a tad bit slow, but that's just because we were kind of in a hurry to catch a ferry and happened to be the last ones standing in line.  Sat near a nice large window letting in natural light.

Great fish and chips and panini sandwiches. Very friendly and better than I expected considering its location as the only place next to the dock. Will go back again, for sure.

Very tasty Fish (lightly battered and not too greasy) and Chips (freshly cut potato rounds, minimally seasoned and fried perfectly) served with a not-your-ordinary tartar sauce. The café's warm & cozy, the restroom convenient and discreet between the outside door & the dining room,  the cashier friendly & efficient, the barista quick and unflappable. There's a large screen TV for those not inclined to appreciate the wall of windows facing the water providing a great view of weather, gulls and ferries.

Cool little place to grab a bite while waiting for the ferry. The clam chowder was good and the service was friendly. I would stop in again...

Like many others we came off of the ferry hungry. The restaurant wasn't anything fancy. The cashier was pleasant and patient with us. We ordered some breakfast bagels, and breakfast sandwich. Our friends ordered lunch sandwiches and soup.
The lunch sandwiches were a healthy portion and the quality was good. The breakfast sandwich was small my four year old was still hungry after he finished so we went back up and got some soup. The soup was tasty. Overall ok experience.

Fun little cafe on the water. Perfect location right by the Port Townsend/Coupeville Ferry Dock. Great ice cream and coffee. The best thing on the menu is the fish and chips. Yummy!! My daughter really likes the ham and cheese panini. Good service too!

My boyfriend's favorite food is fish and chips and oh my, we were not disapointed.  This place doesn't look like much, but the fish was perfectly beer-battered and fried, the chips flavorful and crisp--best fish and chips I've had this side of the pond!

This is a cool little cafe.  We live close so we stopped by and tried the fish and chips after all the reviews.  The fish and chips were very good, and went great with the coronas.  Not much else to say about this place other than we enjoyed it and will be back.  Oh yeah, the staff was super friendly!

Food was delicious, prices were decent, and the service was top notch.  Mmmm... fish and chips!  Would definitely go back if I'm in the area again!  Stop by when you're headed to/from Fort Casey or the Port Townsend Ferry!  The have Mexican coke products! Yay for real sugar!

Fish and Chips is the reason to make a trip over to Fort Casey and go to the Keystone Cafe.  It's worth the 10 minute drive.  Very tasty, good tartar, really good "chips."
Not a fan of the chowder.
If you are waiting at the Keystone Ferry or getting off the ferry from Port Townsend, you should go there.
Good espresso drinks - beer too.

I have been to Keystone Cafe a few times , the first time because there was a delay in the ferry run, I ordered a grilled sandwich which was very good and the service was wonderful, the staff very friendly and they have a slide show of great photos of the island and fishing and boats which is nice for waiting...but the people sitting next to me were local and they were in the know and ordered fish and chips....I was very jealous ...so I went back the next week just to eat...the fish and chips were great, everything was cooked just right, the fish was great and the chips were wonderful ...the best I have had on the island !!! and someone else told me that they have the best clam chowder ever...so that will be next ...I have moved here now and can hear the ferry whistle...makes my mouth water just to think of it ...all cozy and warm inside ....Keystone Cafe, make sure you have enough time to eat if you are traveling from Coupeville to Port Townsend ....( and you can get beer and wine .....)

After leaving the mukilteo ferry and driving to fort casey we had hoped to find a resturant or fast food joint on the way before we got to exploring. No such luck, at least on the main drag. Finally about 3 minutes before we get to Fort Casey we see the Keystone Cafe which is right across the street from the ferry going to Port Townsend. We ordered 2 3 peice fish and chips, 1 chicken and bacon panini, and a turkey and havarti panini, plus a soda and a water. Total Bill $42.00. We were starving so it was worth it. The food was good. The fish was fried and tasted fresh. Big solid peices of cod. The chips were fried "chips" and were awesome. The chicken panini had alot of seasoning and was really good and the turkey one was alright. I would probally go with the chicken one. This was a cute little cafe with a awesome view. Seems like a mom and pop place. Teenage daughter working the registar and mom and dad in the back cooking. I wpuld stop again if ever in the area.

This cafe was okay. I order clam chowder and coffee. The food was alright, I wished it was in a bread bowl. The coffee was good, didn't taste watered down so that was a plus. It was nice that it was so close to the ferry, I was able to walk to the cafe and back to the car and still had plenty of time waiting for the ferry to arrive.

We missed the 3pm ferry to Port Townsend by THAT MUCH, so had to kill time until the 4:30pm ferry.  So, we walked on over to the Keystone Cafe and got some ice cream; butter pecan for me, and maple nut for the hubby.  Really big "single" scoops, and really nice staff.

I would have LOVED to try their fish & chips, but we'd already had lunch and all we really wanted was a snack.  Maybe next time we're in the area...
