Love "K's" on a Friday night with the "after work" crowd!!  If you start going all the time and if Cathy is your waitress... she will get to know you and you'll never have to ask for you're beverage of choice... it just appears!!  LOVE HER!  The food is good too! and they usually have entertainment in the evening!!  Killarneys  is the place to be with a group of friends on a Friday night!!  Be sure to have Cathy's section pointed out to you... she's the best!!
Review Source:let's see...it's in a holiday inn (and a tangent, you know no one ever gets laid in a holiday inn), so not a plus. Upside, almost feels like you're not in a holiday inn...unfortunately the waitstaff knows it's a holiday inn and seem to bring a certain dismal sorrow to their work reminding you this is far from someplace you'd really want to be
Review Source:Killarney's Irish Pub is the restaurant and bar located inside the Holiday Inn in Nashua, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu offerings include mostly pub fare and American cuisine and there are several beers on tap. A brunch buffet is offered on Sundays.
The atmosphere inside the dimly lit pub area is cozy and loud with TVs, bar seating, table seating, small communal tables, and a setup area for bands and live entertainment. Happy hour is Mon-Fri 3-7PM with $1.99 Bud/Bud Light drafts and $4.99 appetizers. For those who don't care for the bar scene, there's also a bright open dining area in the lobby, which is provides a much quieter and family friendly atmosphere.
I stopped in here earlier this evening for a pre St. Paddy's Day dinner (Corned Beef & Cabbage Buffet for $12.95, offered on Mar 16-17) to avoid the big festive "green" crowds on March 17th. I arrived here around 5:20PM and there was a short line to get into the pub with a staff member carding patrons entering and handing out wristbands (also for crowd management per fire dept). They were expecting large crowds for the next day with food, festivities, and live music.
However, the buffet was setup outside the pub in the much quieter dining area in the hotel lobby. I was seated immediately and helped myself to the buffet. The buffet offerings were very basic and included Guiness Stew, corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, turnips, carrots, rolls, Irish soda bread & butter, mustard & horseradish.
The Guiness stew had a good hearty flavor. The corned beef & cabbage and fixins were pretty standard and good, but nothing to write home about. The thin sliced corned beef was tender, but a bit greasy with some marbled fat along the edges. The cabbage and vegetables were steamed soft and easy to eat.
The service was decent. The young staff walked by my table a few times briefly checking up on me each time. The check was left at my table only 7 minutes after I was seated. The food was very filling to eat and one big plate of corned beef & cabbage and 2 bowls of the stew was enough food.
I will have to return to Killarney's on another night, perhaps during happy hour or on a Wednesday night for some 25 cent wings (9-12).
3.25 stars for now
