Don't waste your time. Â The burgers aren't very good and the staff is rude. Â You can obviously tell that they are still in High School and don't know what customer service is. Â
For $22 I would've rather stayed home and listened to my wife tell me how poor my burgers are. Â That is something that I wouldn't wish on anyone, so that speaks volumes.
Good ole juicy burgers.
Walking in you notice the nostalgic decor (large cans of produce, red checkered blankets on picnic tables). Every Kincaid's Ive been to is large and roomy inside with an order window across from the front door. The menu is all the classics: burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and grilled cheese sandwiches. The sides include of course fries and onion rings, but also some surprising fried okra and deviled eggs. You order at the window and take a seat at a table while you wait. The wait is a little long because the burgers are fresh meat cooked to order but well worth the wait. I never leave unhappy or unsatisfied. The portion is large, the price is fair, and the fries are memorable,
If your young kids are starving this may not be the best place because of the wait for fresh food, and they probably wont appreciate how awesome the food is because they eat fast. Go here with friends if you have a long lunch break or before a high school football game for some good home-feeling food.
my first kincaids experience was lunch at the original off of camp bowie about 6 years ago. recently my husband and i had dinner at this new location and i must admit, i really enjoyed my burger.
i don't have cravings for burgers and its typically not my go-to choice, but ever since i had one at kincaids, if burgers are on the menu, its the place i suggest. i typically order the junior bacon cheeseburger with fries. its the perfect size of juicy cheesy baconey goodness that hits the spot.
We were actually heading to a local "burrito place", but when my friend spied Kincaid's the craving for a burger overcame the craving for a burrito.
All I can say is it was a very good, very juicy burger. I would definitely say burger of choice, and I would highly recommend going "Cowtown Style" (grilled onions and jalapeños).
Only quibble would be on the fries. I guess the emphasis is on the burger, but the frozen (?) crinkle-cut fries just did not do it for me. I would have much preferred a fresh-cut skin-on fry.
Overall still a good experience.
Cute little place! I saw this location while I was in the area for BBQ. Even though my boyfriend has lived where he does for going on 3 years, it's always me finding the new places.
Overall, decent burger and fries set up. I got a cheeseburger and while it was a good portion of meat, I found it to be lacking any real flavor. Needed salt, for sure.
Fries were crisp and I ate them, b/c that's what happens to fries in my vicinity.
Kincaid's has been around a long while, so I'm told, but I'm assuming their presence is more dominant in the west of the metroplex. Â I was disappointed to find their jalapenos were just sliced and had a pimento spread in them :( When I saw stuffed jalapenos on the menu I was giddy to try them, and then deflated when I saw them in the case. But hey, if that's your thing, get over there!
