I wanted to love this place. I did! An Irish pub on the north shore is like fiding a unicorn.....But unfortunately this was more like finding a donkey's ass.
The food is NOT PALATABLE. This isn't "oh, he just doesn't like pub fare" comment. I love pub fare, but this stuff isn't edible. They asked how we would like our burgers cooked and we should of just said as black and hard as a hockey puck because that's how they came out regardless of our orders. The waiter was HORRIBLE. He had to come back several times because he kept forgetting our drink orders (because a pint of Guinness and a Bud Light is so unusual), forgetting silverware, our food orders and seemed to spend more time texting on his phone than giving a crap about us on a TUESDAY night?!?!
Also, could someone tell me why the men's room is written in Englisn and the women's room in Irish? If you're gonna be a paddy trap get it together.
I Â gave this place two stars only because the onion rings really are the best rings I've ever had and they serve the large bottles of Magner's Irish Cider which are rare.
So, come here only on a week night and only order beers and onion rings.
We went here to use a Groupon(which my husband says he sees every so often for this place). Â We got a salad, fish and chips, and a sandwich(sorry it's been a while, don't remember the type). Â The Cobb salad was good, the chicken was cooked well and was moist and flavorful. Â It missing blue cheese but it was fine without it. Â The fish and chips were disappointing. Â The fish tasted rubbery and oily but the french fries were good and crispy. Â I thought my husband's sandwich was probably the best(I want to say it was either pastrami or corned beef). Â The beer selection outweighed the food. Â The place was a little small, but it made for cosy conversation with my husband over beers. Â It wasn't packed when we went and the waitress had to come back after a minute taking our order to ask again what it was(mmm, off day?). Â Overall okay, might just come here for beers and shareable appetizer. Â Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.
