Our foursome of husband, 7 year-old daughter, Rotweiller mix, and I made a lunchtime stopover off 101 at this family restaurant now called La Tapatia. Â
Upside: Â Solid carnitas plate and satisfying al pastor plate (with grilled onions, yum). Â Flour tortillas tasted fresh. Â The service was friendly and the bathroom was clean. Â Our dog got a treat of a chunk of carnitas when we got back to car and I doubt the meat even touched the inside of her mouth on the to way to her gullet. Â So this place has the dog vote.
Downside: Â Over-salted chips. Â
All-in-all a satisfying meal. Â Oh yeah...If I was a local I would be STOKED about the drive-in.
