Look for my review (and others) under La Tapatia (it's new identity).

Our foursome of husband, 7 year-old daughter, Rotweiller mix, and I made a lunchtime stopover off 101 at this family restaurant now called La Tapatia.

Upside:  Solid carnitas plate and satisfying al pastor plate (with grilled onions, yum).  Flour tortillas tasted fresh.  The service was friendly and the bathroom was clean.  Our dog got a treat of a chunk of carnitas when we got back to car and I doubt the meat even touched the inside of her mouth on the to way to her gullet.  So this place has the dog vote.

    Downside:  Over-salted chips.

    All-in-all a satisfying meal.  Oh yeah...If I was a local I would be STOKED about the drive-in.

I love this place. This is the best place to get Mexican food in the area. We used to live just up the street from them and we would order take out a couple times a week. I don't get to eat there as often now that we don't live down the street.
The place has improved since the latest owners took over. They are very friendly, the gentleman is always so nice and runs an honest business.
They have indoor seating as well as a drive thru. The prices are great for three of us we always spend less than $20.00. The burritos are large which is very surprising for the low price.
My husband loves their al pastor burrito, and they have some great combos.

This is now La Tapatia, and has gone through a couple of owner changes.
That said, the new owner is REALLY nice and very accomadating.
The food is really good and plentiful.  It's a nice quiet place to have dinner.
    Good Chili Verde!
    Also have a drive through.

I was starving my face off, and they didn't have much of a "brunch" selection at 11. The hubby doesn't like artichokes, so I couldn't stop at any of their acclaimed restaurants.  So we stopped here, and there was nobody there.  The hubby and I both got the tortas.  I got carne asada with everything, and he got carnitas with nothing.

It was really big and very tasty. The salsa is a bit spicy.  We also had their fries, and they were those chunky big fries.  Mmmm I love those kind.
