La quebrada is a good choice for Mexican food in Aurora.  The rice and beans are tasty and fresh.  Tortillas are generally hand made and delicious.  Meats are typical quality of those found at other restaurants.  What sort of differentiates this place from others is the "salsa."  It is served warm with chips that can at times be hard on the mouth, if you know what I mean.  The tacos de "suadero" are very good.  It's one of those places that you enjoy eating at and then you get a bill and you question how and why you spent so much there.  Like I said, good choice overall but not a cheap eat.  If you want to be adventurous, check out the food at the local flee markets!!

It's my first time though it seems food here is very fresh. The Pechuga Empanizada is extremely tasty and cooked perfectly. Reminds me of grandma's cooking.

This place was a total blind faith Yelp find. We need dinner, but we don't want the same old thing, so what's well rated for Mexican nearby? La Quebrada, that's what. And I don't think I would go as far as a 4 or 5, but the 3 is well deserved.

Either people are intensely picky, or this place has been renovated recently. It's definitely not dingy, and it's not dark. The inside was fine - like 90% of family run restaurants you'll go to, absolutely nothing wrong. The outside could have been a little brighter and more welcoming, but we found it anyway.

Food was good - I had the carne a la tampiquena. Very good steak - the right chewy texture, done to my preference, good salty marinade with a solid cheese enchilada in a tasty mole. The guac was...well, I wanted to eat it so bad, but it was easily 50% white onions that night, and as you probably know, that ain't my thing. What I did eat tasted good, but man, charge me more and cut down on the tears.

One of my dining companions had tacos, which I wasn't too impressed with. The al pastor was in a sort of grainy red sauce which tasted...OK, but just didn't seem right. It might be a case of knowing what to order, and maybe the al pastor isn't what you should order. Like I said, I could surely come back for the tampiquena.

Service was friendly, prices were pretty reasonable - this is absolutely worth coming back for. It's going on the list, since we all agree that El Guero closer to the house is a better brunch place, not an evening place.
