got a damn good bloody mary here and our girl bartending was awesome, very happy and helpful and couldnt have been more cool to shoot the bull with us and joke around. The bar itself is nothing to be excited about, so thats why it got a 4 star than a 5star, basically its for the bartender!! thanks and i will be back soon to hangout there.

My wife and I had gone skiing at Snow Valley and ended up at the LAB around 4:30 or so.  We had some fries and pork wings which the bartender Dana recommended and ravenously ate them.  The pitchers of Bud Light were on special for $6 until 6PM and you can't beat that price anywhere really.  We closed out about 6:00PM just as Dana was getting off shift and then left about 7:00 after which the new bartender Brittany directed us to the Stater Bros. because we were looking to take some beer back to our hotel room.  The walk to the store was about 2 minutes and so was the walk back to the hotel.  At around 11PM we could see the back side of the bar from our room and it was cranking, compared to our early visit which was mostly just locals.  I'd definitely go back.

Drinks are strong, reasonably priced and the locals are always friendly. Bartenders are awesome as well.

So a few buddies and I were off-roading around Lake Arrowhead when we were craving food and beer. We pulled up to the first modern looking plaza and found this fine establishment still open at 1130pm.

We were watching the Olympics and downing Stellas off the tap, and it tasted GREAT!

Britney, Brittany, (can't spell it) was awesome! We talked about things to do and where each of us were from, etc etc. She even made us popcorn!! She didn't have to, but out of pure goodness, she did!

24 beers on tap is always a good thing, but about six of the kegs were blown. The pricing on the beers is a little odd; for example, a pint of Bud and a pint of Drop Top Amber both come in at $4. PBR, which should never cost more than $2, was priced at $3 a pint.

The bartender, David was very friendly, and made just the right amount of bartender banter.

Ian - After an amazing dinner, we wanted to have a drink before heading back to our hotel.  We both like dive bars and were ecstatic to see one literally across the street from our hotel.  As we were walking up to the door, I saw the glow of neon repeating the word "open," and my appetite for a refreshing cocktail grew.

I opened the door....and my dreams were crushed.  The bartender, still on the phone, told us the bar was closed.  9:55pm, and the open sign flashing away.  Seriously, what the fudruckers.  Even in small towns, I've never seen a bar close so early.  Either way, the bartender didn't even bother to apologize for not turning off the sign, she just kept blabbing to whomever it was on the phone.  If I could give this place negative five stars I would....unfortunately I'm limited to one above zero.

On a side note....the disco ball in the corner really would have detracted from the whole dive "motif" had they actually decided to serve us.

Natalie - I knew it was going to be a bad dive bar experience the minute I opened the door and heard Coldplay...enough said.

If this bar were located anywhere other than Lake Arrowhead I'd give it 2 stars but I'm giving 4 for being what it is, where it is. I ordered a Dark and Stormy and the barmaid looked at me with a quizzical expression. This is not the sort of place you order a Dark and Stormy. You order a margarita, screwdriver, long island iced tea, etc. In any event, I explained my drink and the girl made it well enough, considering. We ordered food at the bar and we noticed their American sides were better than their Thai sides...go figure. I dunno, I thought the Chicken Satay was decent but their fries were much much better.

I would go back and just order something else I guess.

What?  How could this POSSIBLY be only the second review of what is one of the finest mountain resort bar/club in Southern California?

This place was HOPPING.  Small for LA standards, but just right for Lake Arrowhead.  Great  DJ who knew his very mixed aged audience well.

$6 for a HUGE pour of Maker's Mark?!  Holy hand grenade of Antioch that's cheap!

If you're a local, there's plenty of sexy tourists on the prowl and if you're a tourist, there's plenty of sexy locals who know you're on the prowl!

Last night on my never ending search for THE PERFECT MAN as well as THE PERFECT JOB & PERFECT KEY LIME MARTINI, I went cougaring BIG TIME and accepted a date with the youngest attorney I've ever met. He gave me a couple choices of where we could meet for a drink. I suggested Papagayos since I was certain I'd be able to get the perfect key lime martini there, but he wanted to try the Lake Arrowhead Bar as he was from L.A. and having never been to the mountains before, thought for sure this was THE place to be. Well, with much trepidation and fear as I thought I would possibly run into my son or one of his friends, I agreed, and enjoyed over two hours of very stimulating conversation and 2 excellent key lime martinis after instructing the cute young bartender in their creation. I thought I was having flashbacks from the 70's when the disco lights were turned on, causing everyone and everything to be covered with small multi-colored lights, but did a quick inventory of what drugs I had ingested in the past 48 hours, came up blank and relaxed into a nostalgic ambiance of good times remembered.

A great place to meet someone for a drink and then exit onto an empty parking lot where your only distraction from your partner is the booming loud speaker instructing you which closed shops are awaiting your eminent arrival.

Just for the record, all characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. ( you really need to add this disclaimer when you've gone public about your date with an attorney, after first making sure that it is pure coincidence that you are on the date with him. I recommend doing a quick mental inventory of all people who could possibly want to sue you, all pending current lawsuits YOU have in the works, obtaining your date's business card, and making a quick trip to the ladies room to Google his name and ascertain if he is who he says he is.) :D
