  I love this bar! I love it! This is the COOLEST bar in all of Shreveport-Bossier! And make no mistake, this is a bar! I think there may be some confusion between this place and the nearby Silver Lake Ballroom, and I can totally understand that confusion, because I was kinda confused myself, when a friend said he wanted to check this place out. We had been down at the Cinco De Mayo Festival at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport, when we decided to bolt. It was still early in the evening, about 6-6:30, when we happened upon this place. We tried to walk in, and a band was already setting up in the confines. A door guy stopped us, checked our i.d.'s and said there was a seven dollar cover...At 6ish? The band wasn't even set up yet, and truth be told, we weren't there for the band and could really have cared less if there was live music or not, we just wanted to check this place out. We said, thanks but no thanks and turned to walk back to the car, no harm no foul. It wasn't even dark yet! A nice lady started yelling for us to come back as we almost reached the car. We happily walked back, they didn't charge us cover and we then proceeded to consume six Stella Artois, tip a premium amount and we didn't even break curfew with the wives and we had a great time! We sat out on the patio, overlooking a street with a railroad bridge positioned over it. We felt like we could be anywhere as those cold beers went down waaaaay to easy! The vibe was that of the north side Chicago, Brooklyn, or the Garden District of New Orleans and it was totally cool, needless to say. We haven't been back, though we want to go back and have the best of intentions to do so. I just hope they get that cover charge thing in check. Don't charge cover at least while it's still daylight, maybe even preferably before 9 or 10pm! This is a great bar! Ladies can dress real nice, have a ladies night out and order their num-num lady drinks (if they want!), or they can dress casual and have a beer with the fellas! This place is real sharp and it caters to one and all! I LOVE the Lake Street Dance Hall! And I'm sure there's dancing going on when the band is playing, but we didn't stick around long enough to see! This bar can also be found on Facebook, if you're in to stuff like that.
