Bad service and they were not even busy

Made plans to eat at Larkspur before a recent concert; I had never eaten there before so I was looking forward to it.  The four of us were promptly seated at 6 PM due to our reservation we had made several weeks in advance.  To make a long story short it took over an hour for our food to be brought to the table and when it got there our Filet Mignon was rare even though we told them they could butterfly it to cook it to medium well.  Didn't have time to send it back to be cooked longer so we ate it as it was since we were about to be late to our concert so probably won't be going back...

Oh Larkspur, how you've disappointed me!  What has happened?  New cook(s), new menu?  It had been a while since my husband and I had been in, but the food seemed different in every way.  I was excited to meet another couple and listen to the jazzy duet before we ventured out into Old town to take in some other Live Music.  We ordered the Calamari Fritt, it was terrible!  It seemed like it came from a frozen bag of breaded calamari that looked almost like mozzarella sticks... and over fried in the deep fryer.  Whaaaat?  I was so disappointed because I remembered always being so impressed with the appetizers there.  I decided to try the "special" of the evening Encrusted Halibut with rice pilaf and vegetables.  I asked how it was cooked and was told it was baked.  It almost seemed boiled... no flavor, not what I would call "encrusted", no seasoning at all.  The rice did not seem "rice pilaf" to me, but more like a frozen "picsweet" brand white rice with diced carrots and peas that you would put in the microwave... it almost seemed like the "special" may have been a leftover catering item?  Unfortunately, we will most likely not return.  Not the quality of food for the price.  The service and the ambiance were great, but it's more about the food for me, especially at that price point.
