Family friendly, good quality american fare at a reasonable price

I like this place a lot, especially in the summertime. Weekends on the deck with live music? Really great place to hang and enjoy a beautiful summer's eve. [snicker]

Probably the best pizza in town. Always some tasty beers on tap and a friendly staff to boot.

Friendly service and great food! My husband had the beef stew and I had the lobster Mac and cheese which was to die for. Don't miss it! Great place to stop by for a meal while skiing nearby. Wings were great too. And pssst there are http://restaurant.com certificates which they accept with a smile. Thumbs up!

Great atmosphere, food & staff!
I have to say, in reading the two reviews for April I was shocked at the lies put forward.
I was actually at the Last Chair Restaurant the day that James R is talking about. What's funny is that my family was at the tables directly across and over heard the entire conversation. The situation that James R and his party put the restaurant in was not only unfair to the staff and owner but also the the surrounding guest! The party was in no condition to drink alcohol in the first place (especially having to drive little kids after) but they did not care about this. They wanted to intimidate the staff and then the manager. They did not like being told no and they were very rude and aggressive! It was to the point that my family was going to call the cops on Jame's party if they did not leave. The Manager was very polite and professional and explained how they could not drink due to some members of the Jame's party not having identification and I believe another had an expired license. They did not like being told what to do and stole kids cups from a service station and drank the alcohol from others, like they were in high school. When the manager asked them to leave, Jame's group got aggressive with her. I almost stood up but my wife didn't want me to get involved. This is when the owner came out and firmly asked them to leave. He was not abrasive or rude but had to be firm and he was. After listening to the group yelling at him and refusing to pay the bill because they were evicted, he then told them that they could be arrested for not paying. After Jame's group finally left, many tables around us said thank you to both the manager and owner. My family and I have gone to the Last Chair many times and have always had a great experience. It's unfortunate that a reviewer can actually lie about a situation and take no responsibility for their own actions. They don't understand how a review like the one James R gave can really effect a good business. I would not be surprised if the review by Andy is not one of the members of the same James R party as I saw the same reviews on Trip Adviser. The Last Chair is a great spot for families, try it for yourself!

6 adults. Ages 35-37 Two 3 year olds. The manager would not serve us alcohol because one of our drivers licsences expired 6 DAYS PRIOR. The waitress advised us to order at bar, because they wont realize. Bartender served a beer. Keep in mind , we are 35 year olds , not 16 year olds sneaking alcohol. The manager spotted us, the criminals drinking a bud light. She charged us as if she was taking out YEARS of aggression. Then comes the napoleon-esc owner. He was so enraged, was screaming profanities in a restaurant of children, and 12-15"s from our daughters. Middle of dining room. Causing a scene like hes a circus clown. This pipsqeak of a man was a BULLY. He threatened us with jail. JAIL. Please keep in mind , the driver lic expired 6 days ago. He was attempting to push us with his chest. The mans breath was so rotten, he had no business being in a kitchen. Like a bacterial breeding ground. That is besides the point. It is at the discretion of the restaurant if they should serve customers with expired forms of identification. We were thinking of renting a home in Mt Snow for next season. From this incident alone , we are going to be looking elsewhere. There are far better restaurants in area. Words do not describe this story. The man should be embarrassed of himself.

Great bar/restaurant for after skiing. Been there many times and always a wait to get seated - but so what, great beer selection. Super kid friendly too - the pizza was excellent. In fact, we order pizza from this place for take out instead of the actual pizza places.
Went to Fiddleheads on the other side of the building, which is connected to Last Chair. This is a fine dining place with a cool lounge upstairs that had a guy playing guitar that night. Had an AWESOME meal there as well.

Overall, this is our "go-to" place in Mount Snow.

Love this place! My boyfriend and I came up to Mt. Snow for the first time and decided to try this place out after reading some good reviews on yelp. First of all the decor is perfect! It has an awesome tin ceiling above the bar as well as great authentic signs throughout the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was on par! It was a great family environment but also had a great bar with an extensive beer selection! The food was delicious too, especially the fresh seafood straight from Boston! I will certainly return during my next visit!

when we first got here we headed up to the bar since the wait was an hour. The hour wait was worth it. The food and service were awesome! fun place to hang out!

Looking for a good meal with kids in tow head to The Last Chair. Just be sure to get there early since the secret it out.

The food was great and after a fun day of skiing hit the spot. I would definitely recommend the fish and chips. My husband had the ribs which were out of this world.

The staff was super nice and my kids loved playing in the arcade. It was a nice family place and I will be heading back on our next trip.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and could tell that he is doing what he loves.

My husband came here while on a weekend trip to Vermont. Our service was friendly and prompt. The food was okay - nothing memorable, but that's not always a bad thing.

Great food. Really expensive but amazing salads! Wish it was still "Deacons Den"

If you've ever been to the Deacons Den (which occupied this space back in the day), the Last Chair is like 5 stars in comparison.

Anyway, this place is pretty decent, but, like most restaurants in the area, the service leaves something to be desired and some parts of it are a real head scratcher (like the raw bar...seriously...in Vermont?

There are a decent selection of beers in here (about a dozen craft beers) but the crowd in the place are more into Coronas and Bud Light (lots of the clientele appears to have come directly from the snow mobile tours that operate behind the place). Nothing wrong with that...but that's the clientele.

Food is pretty standard pub food. Burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and some entrees -- it's really a pretty big menu. However, basic stuff -- like nachos in our case -- were not that good (yes, they screwed up nachos). Sadly, I'd still say this is some of the better food on route 100 in the area.

Service was typical of the area: slow. They are friendly, but food isn't coming out fast and you pretty much have to flag down the wait staff as they appear to have too many tables.

Bottom line is that this is a big upgrade from the Deacon's Den, but it's nothing more than average.

A rare gem. It's definitely a great place to have dinner and hang out after a long day of boarding. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. They have a bar draft, bottles, hard, and cocktails. They also have an arcade room to relieve the semi-long wait for a table. We waited 35-45 mins or so during a peak hour on a Sunday. The food was the cherry on top...it was amazing! We ordered the chili and it was fully loaded with sausages, ground beef, beans, cheese and everything, packed with flavor. The ribs were fantastic, saucy and fell right off the bone. I got the spinach and goat cheese pasta with chicken. It was creamy and the chicken was not dry at all! As a matter of fact, it tasted even better the next day. I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area again.

Great menu (lots of options), reasonable prices, and good food. Fish tacos are excellent. Fish is broiled not fried, lots of toppings, you assemble yourself. Very nice clam chowder, fresh greens in salads, pork and beef entrees are solid choices.

For all spectators-leave the slopes and head directly to The Last Chair. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Awesome food too! Then when you pick up your snow birds @ Mt Snow, bring them here!

The Last Chair was suggested by the owner of an Inn down the road for our dinner after checking in. The food was very enjoyable - the drinks menu included a number of micro-brews and at least one locally brewed hard cider and everything was reasonably priced.

Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and quick with everything that we ordered. Unfortunately, we were too full to try any of the desserts that they brought table side for selection. And last but not least - there was an arcade/play area just off the main entrance where you could wait for your table or let kids in your group hang out pre and post dinner. I'll definitely stop in again next time I'm in the area.

Love this place! Great selection of food, good service, and great food! Tim at the bar is the man...knows how to make a drink, take a order and keep a conversation going all the while making drinks for the service station too. The Raw Bar is where its at..who knew that you could get some great Oysters in Vermont! that are from LI?

Was Deacon's Den. Now The Last Chair. Don't go looking for a sign for "The Last Chair" while barreling down Rte 100. You probably will drive around for hours. Look for "Fiddleheads." I think Fiddleheads may be the adjoining restaurant, but not sure.

Located on South side of Rte. 100, The Last Chair has tons of parking in back...as well as the entrance.

If you used to frequent Deacon's Den back in the day, you might be surprised when you enter to see that they have removed the side room that was dedicated to live music. It now looks like someone transported the Seaside Heights boardwalk to VT. There's Skee-Ball, Pop-A-Shot, and other boardwalk arcade favorites.

That is where the differences end. As you turn to your left to enter the bar and restaurant area, it is the same. Various chotchkies adorn the walls and bar area. The big screen behind the bar plays various videos that would bring a tear to any Gen Xer's eye. Snowboarding, big wave surfing, Moto X...you name it. All gets you pretty amp'd about the day you wish you had on the mountain, and silently promise yourself that you will have the next day.

The bar area offers ample seating, but can get a bit cramped if more than one person lines up behind you to stand, order, and/or try to hit on your wife. The bartenders are quite the crew, but offer attentive service with a flare only local Vermonters can produce. There are also a lot of tables if you don't feel like bellying up to the bar, and I have found that the service there is usually decent unless the place is totally packed.

The menu is solid. They serve all kinds of bar favorites including a decent burger, wings, and nachos. Shockingly, I had delicious coconut shrimp there, and they do have a raw bar offering a pretty wide selection of oysters & clams. They can't compete in Hoboken (that's right I said Hoboken, not NYC), but they serve up a relatively good pizza as long as you can get passed the sesame crust. Not sure where that originates, but the cheese, sauce, and crust texture are pizzeria quality. Not your typical flat bar pies.

I've save the most important for last. The boooooze. Obviously, they have a full bar, and are very generous with the pours. They don't seem to care that your car or snowmobile may be parked out front. Everyone's getting served...21 and over of course. Trust me, they even carded this greybeard. The beer selection is great. Feature all kinds of local micro brews on tap as well as in bottle. They also have what have become main stream selections like Long Trail and Dog Fish. The offer the full range of domestics for the not so choosy type, but I'm not sure if their Bud & Bud Lights come in that nasty aluminum bottle. Makes my mouth taste like the dentist. Hate those things.

My only knock on this place is the loss of live music, but I am happy to take some tickets off a kid in Pop-A-Shot while my wife hustles 8 years olds in Skee-Ball. That reminds me. As much as I dislike kids in bars, this place really does offer a lot for kids between the arcade & a large kid's menu.

The food is good and atmosphere is great but the wait time is pretty intense, the waitresses are kinda rude - also a little pricey. The hostess (Robbin) was fantastic though!

Good food. Good prices. Good service. Great beer list from pale to porter. Portions are just right, and the desserts are excellent. Noise from the bar was a little loud, but there was a Patriots game on. A rustic interior with a lot of fun old signs, but not touristy, just a great place for a great meal.

This place used to be Deegan's tavern which was not very well run but had the valley's top venue for live music. The barn at Deegan's was awesome. but management fell apart and people went elsewhere

That is all in the past. The last chair said goodbye to the barn and put a children's arcade...

That turned me off right away. The food is decent but a bit pricy and they do have a good beer selection (nothing below 5 bucks) Dan-o is the man, he used to be the bartender at the snowbarn.

This place is now just a resturant targeted to families. Not a place to drink and see a show. Which may work for them, I just miss the barn.
