Not so great for dining in, but their take-out is fast. My friends love this place. I'm not much of a fan, but I'm admittedly picky about Chinese food. This just seems too greasy for my tastes overall - kind of like Chinese fast food - and their dumplings are actually kind of fatty and gristly. Their fried rice and rangoon is pretty good, though.

This is our families favorite Chinese place around here.  The kids love the non-spicy orange chicken and I like moo shoo pork.  The quality of food has always been really consistent and Service is pretty good.  They also have a full service bar with interesting shots and drinks.  We stopped by here on the way home from the Tiki Bar opening the last 2 years for some late-night food and night-cap.

    Are you kidding me!
After 2 recommendations from a Latino and  a "sailor" friend, we tried this place.
Outdoor Facade:  Poor and made me hesitant to enter the door.
Indoor feel:  a little dark but clean and more inviting than the outside appearance
    FOOD:
Surprisingly good:  cheesy balls appetizer called Crab Rangoon in other places - better crab taste with the creamy cheese comfort food feel, plus the wonton wrapper skins was cooked perfectly.
the Calamari Appetizers could have been Onion rings! if you did not know what you were eating!  If you like the fried crunchy bites, though and don't care that the squid taste is absent, go for it!
General Tsao's chicken:  same batter as the fried calamari, so if you like crunchy batter, you will be in hog heaven~ where there is no chicken taste present at all.
Chef Special Singapore Noodles:  Reminds me of Filipino Pancit Bihon smothered with curry seasoning...maybe the pork or chicken mei fun would have been a better choice...
Prices: too high for dinner, not sure about lunch, YET!
Will not recommend this place after this first visit.
BUT All in all, not bad and not that special.
I will return to try their other dishes, but if you really want non-greasy, TASTY fresh and great priced Chinese or vegetarian food, please go to TEARRIFIC in San Souci Plaza next to Famous Footwear.
    Your health will benefit.

I've been a regular customer since they opened and agree that they're dumplings are excellent. I did ask our waitress about them and she revealed that they do make them in house.  My only complaint is that you don't get more with a single order.  All food here is excellent, made to order and brought out as soon as it's ready.  If you're getting bored with your favorite, I'd suggest trying one of their daily specials.  They're always changing and gives the patrons a glimpse of the chef's creativity.  It's a family owned establishment and you frequently see the owner.  Best Chinese in SOMD.

A Chinese place down in Solomon's. Very good. Been there a few times. We've gotten the cheese puffs and potstickers for an appetizer, Seafood Bird Nest, sweet and sour chicken, house Lo Mein and the Singapore Noodles.

Food was average, not mind blowing but not horrible. Standard chinese food. I would recommend they serve brown rice.

The food was good and prices were reasonably. The owner and staff were very friendly.

God, these people who have written reviews for this place obviously don't set their sights very high!  Here's the straight skinny; the food is bleh, the service sucks, and the place is just plain dirty.  If I could give it a one-half instead of a one, I would.

Walk out the door, turn left, go 800 paces.  You are now at the front door of China Harbour.  We tried LB after reading all of the reviews and listening to friends.  It tasted just like something you would get at a mall food court.  We always get our Chinese to go so the inside doesn't matter to me much.  Between the three of us not one person said they would eat there again.

The food is great and the staff is friendly and efficient. This is my go-to for Chinese food in SOMD.

The best Chinese sit down restaurant in SOMD. Curry shrimp was to die for and the service is great too. We showed up 40 minutes before closing and the food was very fresh like they just opened.

Good service and fairly inventive menu. Vegetables were crisp and seafood wasn't overcooked. Try the broccoli with garlic as a side and don't foget the calamari to start things off. Nothing fancy, just plain good.

It's been a LONG time since I've had some good Chinese food and today we stumbled upon The Laughing Buddha.  We were pleasantly surprised with their yummy food.  We will be back again soon!

I have been back at least 4 times. The last was for a birthday FEAST with a large group. We ended up ordering almost every appetizer on the menu and a good portion of the entrees. Still awesome! Still making me regret we don't live close enough to get take-out at least once a week!

Worth mentioning was something I'd never bothered to try...the DUMPLINGS. I guess I overlook standard fare lots of times and don't bother to order if there are uniquely different things on the menu. I'm glad someone at the table ordered these!

I've never tasted a dumpling so tender. I suppose I never ordered dumplings because I've been brain-washed into thinking that I'm going to get a gummy chewy over steamed dumpling. The Laughing Buddha dumplings just ruined all other dumplings for me! They practically disintegrated on my tongue! It was like someone in the kitchen had taken a cloud and wrapped it around a bit of juicy well seasoned pork and put it on a plate!

All I'm saying is....these dumplings should be served by tiny baby flying cherubs and accompanied by harp music!

I think there are as many Chinese places in the southern end of the county as there are Mexican places now. I have only eaten here once and it is still pretty new. I thought it would be a take out place, but there is plenty of seating and it looks nicer inside than it does outside. I ordered a lunch special - Lemon Chicken with fried rice, spring roll, and egg drop soup. There was so much food that I barely ate half of it and have yet to even taste the egg drop soup. I would recommend, but at this point I won't say I prefer it over another Chinese Place that is just south of this place.  They have a website with their menu as well as a 10% off coupon when I last checked.

Wow.  This place was great!  The food was absolutely fresh tasting and delightful!

I'm from New York, so when it comes to Chinese and Italian, I'm a little picky I must admit.  Laughing Buddha far surpassed my expectations.  IMO, this is the best Chinese food in SOMD, and I think I've eaten at each and every one of them over the years.

The house wonton soup is simply outstanding, as was the shrimp with veggies.  If you like Chinese food, you will not be disappointed, so give it a try!

New favorite spot for Chinese Food in Southern Maryland. My wife and in-laws have been several times now, and we've always left with smiles on our faces and full tummies.

I'm a vegetarian, and father in-law is a big time carnivore - both of us found wonderful eats across a broad span of delicious flavors and textures. Terrific veggie, chicken, steak and shrimp dishes.. and the egg rolls are fantastic.

Delicious food, great service and reasonable prices.

Can't ask for much more than that! I highly advise giving it a visit as soon as possible! Go when you're hungry, the portions are generous!
