I wish I could give this place NO STARS based solely upon the management. Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service and total lack of respect towards employees. The manager on duty was incredibly rude to our table of 10, telling those of us who later joined the table (on a separate tab, mind you) that we were unable to get the half priced bottle of wine special they were offering until 9 PM. She spent the entire night yelling at our waitress, who was a total sweetie, and glaring at our table after someone had gone up to try to reason with her. I was shocked and completely mortified for our waitress, because though the manager was horrible to us, she was absolutely wicked to our server. I'd have walked out if anyone had spent that much time screaming at me. We asked several times to speak with the owner and we were hastily denied. It appears very shady to us that we were unable to speak with the owner of an establishment. ATTENTION MIKE: Get a manager that doesn't turn away 10 people from your bar and flush your business down the toilet!!! Oh, and give your servers a raise in the mean time- after experiencing that horrendous lack of management and general people skills, I'd say they deserve it. Thank your wonderful manager for sending your business to Ott's down the street. Didn't try the food, but the experience was EXCELLENT.
Review Source:I have been a long time loyal customer of Lazy's, through all the difficulties we hung in there with them, unfortunately the time to say goodbye is now. They have a new manager now her name is Sara and she is one unhappy woman. She cannot take criticism well, in fact she has taken it out on me as a customer. They have a 5-9 half price wine special and before 9  I wanted to buy two more bottles for my table of 10 to get us through the rest of the night, mind you we had just gotten there and this is what I asked my waitress to do for me. Because Sara is mad at me for my last negative review she said I could only buy one bottle of wine. My guest. who was on a separate bill said she would buy the bottle and still  Sara says we would only have one bottle per table. Nowhere does it say during happy hour one bottle of half priced wine per table in fact we had separate tables. Still was not making Sara happy. She did not want my business. We tried every which way to buy the wine that was on special that night and she made it obvious that that wasn't going to happen.
I suppose she won as I will not go somewhere where my patronage is not appreciated.
She lost 16 customers that night over one bottle of half priced wine just to make her happy that she wasn't serving me.
As a business owner when a customer isn't happy you try to fix it that is why I have a successful business you cannot act like a hurt little child and that is how she acted. Sara is a very immature  young woman and should not be in a management position until she grows up and can leave her spoiled child like attitude behind.
Mike Talty, the Owner, is a wonderful man and I am so sorry Mike that I will not be coming back as she is harassing me and it has affected my friends and family that I bring into your establishment. When Sara is gone and I know she will be in time I will then come back. I will miss the staff and friends that I have come to know after all these years, but as I said it is time to say goodbye.
Lots of times we like to go for dinner & get a few appetizers to have a light meal with a few different tastes. The onion soup was the only thing that was edible but it was overpriced for such a small bowl. The calamari was chewy & gross. The breading would just fall off when you picked it up. My son got a reuben. We asked how it was served like a sandwich or open faced. She said she could get it open faced which is not what we asked. It came out with the cheese on the bread side & the sauer kraut with the corned beef on top no dressing. The corned beef was hard & chewy. Our beer was not cold & I was really annoyed the server never came back until she put the check down. Never cleared the plates, never asked if we wanted another drink or if everything was ok. Won't be back!! Way over priced for poor quality food.
Review Source:Lazy Lanigans consistently has horrible service. I've frequented Lazy's almost every Friday and every waitress I've had was slow and incompetent. The food selection is insulting and the quality is horrible. The food is never hot when served. Made several complaints to management regarding bad service and he lacks interest in his customers happiness.
Their name suits them well... L-A-Z-Y
Will not be frequenting this restaurant again.
There was a Groupon deal for this place and since it's in the town where my most of relatives live I thought I'd give it a shot.
It has a nice space, a decent  list of Irish beers, mediocre service, some highs and lows regarding the food and a very loud band.  If you are using a Groupon be sure to print it out (see below).
The place is nicely furnished and does have a "pub" feel to it - there are different sections for the bar, dining etc. Upon entering our ears were immediately accosted by the guitar duo who were strumming out their best Bon Jovi and the Eagles.  Add in a drummer, long hair and yellow leather pants for the band and fingerless lace gloves, lots of hairspray and some recreational drugs for me and it could have been 1985.  Not that they were bad, they were fine  - just way too loud for people that were there to eat, not party to the oldies.
The service was not good. Â There seemed to be an abundance of wait staff milling about importantly and the dining area was only about two thirds full at around 6:30pm and yet our waitress was nowhere to be found for long periods every time we needed her.
Our soup was whipped out fairly quickly but then we endured loooooooooong periods in between each additional course where we had nothing to do but either try to shout at each other or just listen to the band since their music made comfortable conversation impossible.
The food was hit and miss. Â We really liked the red seafood bisque - lots of fresh clams and fish and a nice depth of flavor. Â The mussels with red sauce were ok, a tiny bit "fishy" tasting but we ate them. Â My dining companion had the roast beef platter which had a good flavor but a lot of the meat was fatty. Â The mashed potatoes and veggies were tasty. Â My whiskey glazed salmon would have been very good if they had taken the salmon off the grill about 2 minutes earlier than they did - it was overcooked and the thinner part of the filet was definitely dry/chewy. Â
By that time though there was no way I was sending it back and staying longer than necessary and when the duo started wailing out a John Cougar Mellencamp tune I choked down the dry fish because it was definitely time to go.
One last negative - when I showed the waitress my Groupon coupon on my phone she said "Oh. Â I have to show the manager." and took my phone and left into a hidden back area. Â For like 5 minutes. Â I don't even like my husband to take my phone. Â For all I knew the manger could have used my phone to call her relatives in a distant land and then dropped my phone into a soup pot. Â It was very unprofessional to take my phone, the manager should have come to the table to look. Â
This place has the potential to be good - it's a nice space but the staff and their systems need to get more tightly organized and the food could be much better if they paid attention to detail. Â And get in a nice, quiet traditional Irish folk duo or something, at least for the early evening.
Stopped in on a weeknight for dinner with a friend. We both ordered Sheppards Pie. it was OK at $13.99/ea . Beer is a bit pricey and WHY are there odd prices on beer? $6.54 for a Brooklyn Export and $7.47 for a Sam Adams Merry Mischief? How about rounding? A small pitcher of mediocre Sangria was $7.50 and a small "house" salad was $6.00. My friend asked for a buttered roll and she received 4 small toasted hunks of Italian Bread with butter for which we were charged $2.00. HUH? Service was slow with half a dozen people at the bar and a total of 4 tables occupied including ours. All in all, forgettable.
Review Source:I have mixed feelings about this place. Our waitress was nice, the food and drink was good. (not great). HOWEVER... Â the food was overpriced. The hostess that sat us seemed to almost hold a grudge against us when we didn't want to sit in the bar area and sat us in direct line with the setting sun, She also kept LOOKING at us. At the end of the meal we were forced to wait 20 minutes because their credit card machine wouldn't work and they tried to tell us that both of our cards were declined. This place suffers from poor management and a ridiculous presumption that the dining experience they provide is worth the high prices and hassle. We will not be returning. Oh yeah one more thing, they need to learn how to make a better bloody Mary
Review Source:Formerly Blue Eyes, Â Lazy Lanigans is a BUSY, Â Irish Pub in Washington Township, NJ. Â Say what you want, Â Pub Fare with a few Traditional Irish Dishes. Â Service, is Very Good. Â Live Bands and Daily Specials. Â All of the Dishes look delicious. Â This is a FUN PUB. Â Do not come here for a quiet time. Â Come here for good food, fun, music and friends!!! Â Leave the attitudes at home. Â Live Acoustic Music and Weekly Irish Musicians. Â This is a Fun, Loud, place. Â Great for Groups! Â Great Out Side Covered Bar.
Ith, DÃ, agus Be Happy!!
Absolutely the worse service of any restaurant/bar I ever ate at. In a mostly empty bar is it really appropriate for a waitress that forgot to bring me a beer use the excuse for a 20 minute wait for a beer that the bar was backed up? Or for good food to come out cold because no one from the kitchen told the waitress it was ready? Hey owner of this place try paying some attention or say hello to bankruptcy court.
Review Source:We were previously at this location when it was the former Dubh Linn Square pub. We stopped in Lazy Lanigans yesterday afternoon for lunch. The interior looks the same as the previous establishment (which is fine by me). They built a new outside covered  patio (all season patio w/ bar, retractable walls, etc.). Â
Our server (Jen) had the personality of a wet blanket, she needed a shot of hapiness. (more like a intravenous drip). Â Though, she was attentive and got the job done.
For libations, Kate had the Wachusett Blueberry Ale. I wasn't feeling adventurous so I went with my stand-by, a good ol' Pennsylvania lager (that's Yeuengling son). Â
For grub, Kate decided to go with the special Prime Rib sandwich w/ Au jus, it was VERY  good. (the bread had a nice crispness to it, beef was moist; and  the horseradish sauce tied it all together). I had the Roasted Turkey wrap sandwich, it was good. (I like the bacon they use). The sweet potato fries had a nice crisp to them, they were larger than shoe-string but thinner than steak fries (skip the side of cinnamon dip that the fries comes with...... just dip the fries in some spicy Colmans mustard and/or ketchup and you will be straight).
Not sure what this place is like on a Friday or Saturday night but as long as it does not turn into a debacle such as the Tilted Kilt franchise, it should do okay. Overall, we liked this place for lunch & brew. I'd say a solid 3.5 stars. We will return if we are in the area.
Talk about night and day, this place used to be incredible~ when it was under Dublin Square's joint ownership. Apparently the two owners, brothers, had a falling out, and recently went their separate ways. The entire vibe of the place has changed. Gone is the once friendly service and tasty food. The menu has been replaced by a standard pub fare menu wit the occasional traditional Irish meal. The half price Irish meal lunch specials are also history. The service was awful and unfriendly to fair at best. Â No silverware was even offered to my wife and I at a recent lunch there...we had to ask for it...no napkins for the drinks..my Guinness was pouring over and no one offered to tidy the over spill...it was just a very negative experience. An experience that has permanently turned my wife and I off to ever returning to this location. They need vast improvement, or judging by the lack of customers,t hey are headed for a chapter 11! Â AVOID!!!!!At all costs! And no, I am not the former owner or associated with him or her....just a regular client from the old pub days.
ATTENTION!!!!!!! Can you fathom the owner of this place privately writing to me here on YELP! Incredible. Here is his e mail, I will follow it with my retort.
"Regular client from the old pub days? We have onlly been here since July. Your entitled to your opinion but mostly eveything that you wrote isnt true. Brothers did not have a falling out, the menu is 95% the same as before and we still have the half portions of irish lunch items. Get the facts straight before you comment. I'm a guy with a family  trying to make it like everyone else so I take personal offense when you write heading toward bankruptcy. Everyone is entitled to comment on the experience but when you add things that arent true or just hurtful you have to question what kind of human being you are..."
My retort:
I replied in kind to his "fighting Irish" e mail again and publicly. This is YELP! , my page and my opinions, what I write on here is a non biased review of local and national establishments. I wrote what I experienced, and it was a very poor experience at that.  My wife and I frequented this place before it changed names and menus since last July of 2011 at least monthly, if not bi-monthly. It was a class act then. There was a falling out between buisness partners, be it blood brothers or not, irregardless, the original business divided for x reason. The new buisness stands as I stated in my original review above. I do not wish the buisness to fail, but unless you sir, drastically alter  your services, you are indeed destined to go by way of Jacks Pub. Avoid bankruptcy by heeding Brad and my review. Retrain your staff, reintroduce the traditional Irish lunch menu at half price, and by all means, do not take a review personally, it is a review of your buisness, not of you. Before I go, let us set the record straight: A) You lie in your e mail to me, as your lunch menu consisted of not a single Irish half price lunch portion. B) In addition, the quality of the food has significantly decreased. C) 95% of the menu is not the same, there are additions and reductions to the previous and original menu. I will  frequent the original pub up in Cherry Hill, and rest assured will spread the negative word concerning your establishment. Good day and good riddance.
As the name states the only thing that comes to mind when I recall my service and food is LAZY. My party was seated without silverware and the chef had not bothered to make a soup by 6:30 even though the menu stated a daily soup special. The food we where served was bland and the waiter took it upon himself to add a tip to a party of two. Save your money and eat else where this is defiantly a pub not a restaurant.
