I've never had a bad meal. Very small place, but not crowded. Even though Lynn, the chef, makes everything herself, it's not a bad wait. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had - perfectly crispy with just enough sea salt and herbs. The menu changes every few weeks, but they keep the classics. It is pricey for Castroville, but not for a similar restaurant in San Antonio, and it's as good or better than anything you would get in SA.
Review Source:I've been here a few times since my last review, the last time on Mother's Day Weekend. Â My opinion of this nice little restaurant remains the same. Â The food is amazing, and the service is spot-on. Â Had I written this a little sooner after my last visit, I'd have included details about my mouth-watering meal. Â Since I'm getting a little long in tooth, I'll simply tell you that the meal was flawless, and the desserts were really, really, really good. Â We got four and passed them around the table a couple of times. Â They didn't stand a chance ;-)
How Le Chat isn't standing-room-only on weekend evenings is baffling. Â Obviously I'm not yapping to my friends enough about it. Â If you haven't been - Go. Â It's good. Â Really good. Â Fer reals.
