We ate here last summer while visiting friends in Belfair. A large group of us sat outside with the pretty view and live music. The food was OK and the service was great.
This summer we went back, just my husband and I and our two kids while on our way back north from visiting. It was a lovely day and we were pretty hungry...we remembered this place and went for it as there really aren't many decent food options in the area.
--So we sat outside, ordered and after a few minutes our waitress came back to tell us my entree was since pulled from the menu and to pick something else. So I ordered a portobello mushroom veggie sandwich, sans bun as I don't eat gluten. My husband and son ($6 pb+j sandwich!) got there's several minutes before mine came, fine.
OK, I'll get on with it and rant about how disappointing the food was, on top of having an incredibly slow and incompetent waitress, for other reasons not said here, and paying way to much for a skimpy pb+j for my kid (with water.) My mushroom was the tiniest I've ever seen, overcooked and hard to cut through, with tiny bits of veg plopped on it. The huge portion of fries were super greasy and had that old oil taste to them, inedible! My husband's salmon sandwich was engulfed by this colossal bun. At least his beer was good..A total waste of our time and money!!! I left starving and disgusted.
Worst service of all time!!! The bar tenders are so rude! I waited 20 minutes to get a drink and I left before I even got served. Not to mention the chick behind the bar yelled at everyone at the bar to wait their turn and next thing I know she's on her phone. Guess tips are not important to her.
Review Source:I used to come here as a teen with different owners and it was the "hangout". Now it has another new owner and it seems like the same waitress everytime you go and her only. She usually doesnt say anything when you come in (whether its busy or not) then you sit down and she doesnt bring menus and doesnt even bring waters for at least 10 minutes. Not to meantion one of the times I went she got to a table with less people at it who got there after us, which pretty much felt like she was ignoring us completely. I know its not busy there typically but if she cant even bring waters right off the bat or remember who was there first maybe they should hire someone else too. The food was good but overpriced. I went twice, so I gave it a 2nd chance but now I wont waste my money.
Review Source:We stopped in late on Sunday evening, late for us...8pm. Â We went into the bar and were greeted within about a minute by the bar tender/ waitress Toni. Â Very friendly & welcoming. Â We ordered fish & chips. Â I swapped out my chips for a house salad. Â The food came quickly and was excellent! Â Toni checked in with us through out our meal, really great service!
The new owners are doing a great job with the menu & staff. Â We will be back!
Mmm, had some jalapeno-stuffed prawns, pizza, calamari and beer.
The pizza was interesting and delicious - ham, pineapple, mandarin orange, jalapeno and onions with a crispy buttery crust.
The prawns could've been more jalapeno-like, but tasty nonetheless.
Great calamari, thought I wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce drizzled on it.
Good beer selection, full bar, pull-tabs, live band on Fridays and dining room seating on one side and a bar/music stage on the other side, clearly separated by a wall. Good view and plenty of parking.
Overall decent service and prices. Check it out next time you're in or driving through Allyn.
Came here for dinner tonight with a party of 8. Â Honestly, there's nothing bad I can say about this place! Â The facility is clean and modern, almost as if it were just remodeled. Â The service was excellent with a very attentive and friendly waitress. Â The food (I had the fish and chips with a side Caesar) was awesome! Â There were only compliments from around the table. Â The prices were also very reasonable considering the quality of the experience.
We didn't eat in the bar, but I took a peak and it is very spacious and modern. Â I've found a new "go to" restaurant anytime I'm in this area!
Stopped in least night to see if food had improved under new ownership. Chowder was excellent, entree special average -- but the vegetables and potatoes accompanying the chicken were excellent, fresh and well - prepared. The chicken was stuffed with crab, red peppers, spinach and cheese. There was absolutely zero crab in the stuffing. Â My husband ordered a salad and pizza, and liked both. Other diners were ordering baskets of fish and chips that looked and smelled delicious. We will go back again based on our experience. I would say the food has improved under the new ownership, but remember it is not fine dining. Â Far better than anything else in Allyn though. Great view of the water and friendly service. New owners are trying to improve and seem to have done so.
Review Source:The only fresh seafood on the menu was the steamers, (clams) - which were supposedly picked that day. I had the scallops which were previously frozen and, while not fishey tasting were flavorless. The vegetables were also frozen, and mushy. My dining partner had the fettucine alfredo with chicken which he said tasted like cardboard. We were the only people dining at 8:00 pm on a Wednesday night on the outside balconey, which had a nice view of the water-but no outside lighting-so sorry no seeing what you're eating. The bar crowd tends to overflow onto the balconey to smoke and converse. Not the dining experience I had in mind.
Review Source:I haven't been here in a few years. Â I can't remember why I stayed away- bad food or bad service or both. Â Since I can't remember I thought I needed to give it another try.
My 11 year old son and I just finished a round of golf at Lakeland and we were really thirsty. Â He convinced me we should stop and get Nachos and drinks for lunch. Â Nachos were big but were nothing special. Â Joe liked that they put the guac and sour cream in separate containers and didn't contaminate his nachos. Â Service was friendly and responsive but there was only other table filled on a Saturday at 1:00. Â
I guess we should try a dinner here sometime.
Nice Friday afternoon, good day for a motorcycle ride, so we all headed out to Kitsap Peninsula area.
I honestly thought I had seen most of the places in the Washington area, but I was proven wrong.
I was introduced to Allyn and to Lennard K's Boat House.
The restaurant is on the waterfront and has a gorgeous view and a nice outside deck with two fireplace pits to sit around.
The inside has the restaurant to one side and a bar to the other.
They do have some decent items on the menu, but it seems as if you are paying for the view and the food wasn't that great. Â
I had nachos, which were not mouth watering, but it was a huge plate of nachos.
Another had the caprese salad with steak added, hmm??? Â I've never known caprese salad to add steak or chicken OR to have so many greens with it, but ok. Â He seemed ok with it, so all is good.
Another had a Kobe burger. Â He asked for medium rare and it came out pretty much well done.
Service was ok.
If you are out in this area, this would be one of the few places to eat, so you really don't have too much of a choice. Â It was a decent place to fill our stomachs before we continued on our ride.
Eeek! Â Don't go here. Â Only go here if you want to sit outside on the cool deck, but do not expect much else. Â Have a beer on the deck and go somewhere else. Â I've eaten there at least 5 times, and every meal has just been gross! Â Even the most simple things on the menu have weird ingredients that don't belong! Â
The problem here is that there is not much else to choose from in Allyn. Â Try it if you dare...
