"Three 1 star reviews from the same people from Oakland. Really pathetic that you guys have nothing better to do than attack a small business. Cowards do things like this. Your review rings so untrue it is funny. Get a grip guys. Xoxo have a great day Yoshii)"...?

Do not flatter your self Eric. You are just another insignificant speck on this planet. I seriously doubt anyone would entertain your arrogance on more than one occasion or waste their time writing more than one review for your place (or the place you work whichever the case may be).

Justifying your shortcomings with vague and poor rationalizations are indicative of your poor and ignorant character. If you were a little more literate, you would realize that  two of the three 1 star reviews were written in 2012, while the one I wrote was written 10 days ago on 7/10/2013. To answer your question no, my name is not Yoshii. If you were a little more culturally attuned you might realize that Chuy is a nickname given to people named Jesus (quite a popular name in Latin America)

Just because you got three poor reviews from people from Oakland does not make us the same person. I am sorry to burst your bubble but Oakland has a population of over 400,000. It is quite possible for more than one Oaklander to visit your establishment over the course of one year. Since we live in a greater metropolitan area, it is quite possible that there is a greater concentration of restaurants and it is quite likely that we visit more restaurants than the people of Auburn, and we recognize good service when we see or experience it (since there is a greater concentration of restaurants in larger metropolitan areas)

Cowards!? We are cowards because we as literate beings have the means and decency to articulate to other people exactly how you treated us? Has it occurred to you that if you simply serve your patrons equally people might actually give you a rating based on your food and not your service?

Are you the incompetent server/jackass in question(Eric)? If that is the case, a simple apology would have been enough for me to remove my rating. Since you decided to insult me, that is no longer an option.

Cool little place in Auburn. Great beer selection, and some tasty sandwiches using quality meats.

I was delighted to taste a gluten free slice of my heritage at the Little Belgium Deli and Beer Bar in Auburn, CA!  After all, my husband's great, great (add about six more greats to that) grandfather was the king of Belgium, so I thought about asking if that entitled me to a discount, but I don't like to throw my royalty in people's faces.  I prefer to think of myself as a princess for the common man. :)

I dined inconspicuously at the Little Belgium, concealing my true identity and proceeded to order a gluten free Gobbler with turkey, cranberry sauce, Pepper Jack cheese and sprouts!  It was like a Thanksgiving meal between two slices of toasted multi-grain gluten free bread!

Actually, it was two Thanksgiving meals, because the hospitable Little Belgium served me not one but two Gobblers.  I ate one at the restaurant, before remembering to snap a photo, and saved the other for later.  When I got home, the Gobbler was calling to me, though, so I gobbled up the Gobbler, and dabbed the corners of my mouth with a linen napkin and straightened my tiara and made a toast to the Little Belgium and dreamed of returning one day to his fair restaurant in the quaint hamlet of Auburn!

Farewell, loyal subjects!  Your Belgian princess is off to new lands!  I will return soon and entertain you with valiant tales of gluten free conquests! :)

I ended up here after hiking in Auburn on a random weekday off. We were actually planning to eat somewhere else for lunch but passed by Little Belgium first and decided to try it out. They have about a dozen beers on tap (as well as root beer!) and at least 35 different bottled beers. A pint of Sierra Nevada Summerfest was just $5. The service was great- there was a cook and bartender/sever on duty who were very attentive and we had a great time talking to the staff. This is a great spot for simple vegetarian food and creative appetizers. We ordered the quinoa, vegan sandwich, and wasabi albacore sammy. The tuna sandwich was really unique and I loved that they have Daiya cheese available! I would definitely come back- hopefully to try the stuffed avocados!

A tiny hole in the wall little deli for Auburn. I have not yet tried any of their food but the beer list is excellent. So many things to try that are unheard of for a beer conisseur like our family. I like that they have board games there for you to play. That to me seems to encourage a friendly, 'come back and hang out' atmosphere. They also have these random fun musical nights. We were in there for my younger sisters 21st, and there was a folk band going to town! This is a funny sight for Auburn. But the fans were singing and dancing away loving every second. Check them out for sure!

Great lunch ! I had the stuffed avocado  and a half tuna sandwich on homemade honey wheat breadand it was amazingly good...very original and yummy! Great beer selection and super friendly staff. I will be back when I have longer than a lunch hour to hang out. Thanks Eric!

I really love Little Belgium Deli. I've done many a trivia night there, an open mic night there, and many many lunches. They like what they do and it shows. They know beer and they make good sandwiches with wholesome ingredients. The "Firefighter"  is my favorite: Sourdough, cream cheese, jalapeno, turkey, pepper jack cheese and red onions grilled panini style. Get it with bacon and holy crap. I also love the "Thundervision." but that's a different story. Inquire within.

Wishing I could transport this little bar/deli to around the corner from my house in the Bay Area. Great beer selection, great service from a friendly bartender, and the locals chatted us up for quite a while. Was visiting from out of town but if I'm ever in the area again will for sure make a point to visit again.

I can't say enough about this place, great beer, fresh food, and the bread is baked at a local shop, this is a true deli! The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the beers they serve. If your lookin for the whole package this is it, I haven't found anything to compare with Little Belgium!

The bartender was a totally rude and would not serve us at 11:15 even though they closed at 12.  Went right around the corner to Mangia and had a marvelous meal.

This was quite honestly the best deli I have ever been to! They offer healthy, fresh, and toxin free food that not only tastes delicious, it's done in very unique and delectable ways! They also offer other yummy things like stuffed avocados. And they have beers from all over the world that I have never heard of but would love to try. The best part is the staff. The sandwich maker was so sweet and adorable. The server/beertender was part owner and was very attentive. We plan on eating here once a week and telling everyone how amazing this place is. Gawd, I will never, ever be able to eat at Subway or Quiznos ever again, especially with the price of sandwiches being about the same.

Had the stuffed avocado at the Auburn Wine and Food fest yesterday (great job guys!)  So, while waiting for another eatery to open today, we stopped in and had a great cold beer, wonderful selection on tap! And of course, had to have another stuffed avocado. It is delightful! The staff was friendly and very prompt.  Great place to sit and watch the game!

    Eric,
    1.  Sending your message message titled "Foolish" "Everyday you leave that review up you look foolish and insult the gay community.  Customers can plainly see form our many many 5 star reviews what kind of place we are your review only speaks to what kind of person you are. PS I write pro gay marriage blogs often to support my friends and basic Freedoms." just because I did not take down my first review after your much more politely-written message that you sent the day after I posted my original review doesn't justify our unpleasant experience with your business.  One thing to ask your 1-star reviewers to politely take down the review.  Another to call them foolish just because they didn't do what you wanted them to do.  I am sorry you did not get what you wanted at the exact time you wanted it.

    2.  "According to the bartneder you jumped in front of five other customers so perhaps if you felt like you where treated rude it was because you acted rude. "  Wow.  There were only two customers in the entire store when we arrived.  We never jumped in front of five other customers who didn't exist.  We even waited for a minute or two until the bartender stopped talking to his regulars.  "The sandwich you wanted was a French Dip and since we make fresh Au Jus on a daily basis at some point at night we have to shut the steam table down. "  Are you kidding?  We didn't get to order anything because our first question was "Is your kitchen still open?"  (Then of course we got laughed at.)  You are either making up a story to make yourself look better, or the bartender must have pissed off someone else that night.  Either way, that's not us.

    3.  Yes, you have had great reviews until a month ago.  If you sort the reviews by date,  it looks like all went down-hill, followed by your own passive aggressive comments on your reviewers, which reflects more what kind of person you are more than what kind of place you are.   Nuff said.

Amazing. Such a great place to go no matter who you are - barfly, brainiac, biker, beer snob.  Bring your mom and dad, best friends, or kids.  Brian, Eric, and all the staff always take such good care of their customers, make custom changes to sandwiches with a smile.....no attitude, just neighborly service. I love this place!

nice atmosphere but pretty shotty service I'm ordering a sandwich because I'm in a hurry not because i want to wait 45 minutes for a $9.00 sandwich with one slice of meat........these guys need to give me what I'm paying for if i went to any grocery store i could get 1 lb of meat and throw it on some bread it'd be nice if i got at least 1/4 of that on a sandwich in an actual deli

three words, "World's Famous Avocados!"  Plus the Firefighter sandwich-yum. My only complaint was there wasn't more choices, I'm curious on what will come next and I'm optimistic their menu will grow.  And I must point out-I love good beer but it totally took a back seat to the "WFA's"  Go, we want to keep them in business and the staff took a real interest in our feedback.

Lured in by a Facebook photo from a friend, had to seek this place out specifically for a beer on the way home from Downieville. Didn't realize it at the time, but what I was seeking needed to be mixed. I asked the food person about a "chocolate and raspberry beer" and she astutely figured out right away that they must have mixed the Lindeman's Framboise Raspberry Lambic with the Young's Double Chocolate Stout. OMG - chocolate raspberry candy in your mouth. Immediately came home and found the two and started mixing my own.

The stuffed avocado was good, and there were other little nibbly bits we liked as well. Very, very friendly staff and we felt very welcome. Will definitely make this an ongoing stop to and fro the mountains!

What a great place to hang out and chat! Every time I go to LBD I get great service. Just recently my brother in law came in from out of town. He loves going into neat lil bars with lots of character! This place had all of that. And even better we were able to get in a riveting game of pinochle. The Bartender Simon even gave us some complementary pretzels while we were in the midst of talking smack. Sandwiches are delicious and the first half fills me up leaving me a snack for later! The owner of this place knows what this town needed for the hip youngins in town! The bar has some great beers on tap and prompt service! LOVE LBD!

Best find I've found in a long time.

The best thing about this place is the staff. Incredibly friendly, making you feel at home. They also know their stuff and will find the best brew they have to fit your taste buds. If I lived in this area I would hang out here every week and be that familiar face drinking down a cold Hefe on a summer day.

The sandwiches I love because they were unique and not just a sandwich. They offered creativity and made me excited to try something new.

    Mmmm... so delicious.

Great food and great service. Ive been in here around 10 time now and havent been disappointed once. The stuffed Avocados are amazing. They have a huge beer choice on tap and from the fridge. However, I usually stick to the Chimay.

We just stopped at this place based on yelp reviews heading from Reno to SF, and it was the BEST car stop location ever. My carmates loved the Reuben (and thought the pastrami was fine). The beer selection was fabulous (my half chocolate stout half raspberry lambic was a pretty inventive dessert beer), my "Veggie en Fuego" was super-inventive (and they have daiya and veganaise! super vegan friendly for a random omni place) although I ended up picking off half the jalapenos to not die, and our service was quick and really friendly. I plan on stopping here every time I'm on that drive.

The staff here is a little nutty and the cook is really weird, but the food is outstanding so with a normal chef or cook, it just wouldn't work, well not here, the stuff they come up with and then there is the beer, so refreshing and tasty, you just have to come in and try it. The people that show up are weird and trendy and sometimes even the most interesting people walk thru those doors but you feel like you are at home and these people have your back, as long as the beer is yummy and the food is awesome !

Thanks Matt C. for this recommendation bro.  WOW

Well, it's official.  Everything I thought about this watering hole/sandwich shop is true and on par with the rest of the Yelpers here.

Met my buddy for a quick lunch and the staff (Aaron) was a super nice guy, was very excited about the place and also shared (sampled) some Belgium beers with me.
I'm not a fan of Belgium beers as there too sweet for me, but I still partook in 2.

We ordered the Wasabi Tuna with cream cheese, cucumber and avocado.  10 out of 10 stars.

We also ordered the Ruben and that was a 10 out of 10 stars.

Over all I absolutely LOVE this place and you must try it.  So happy it is in Auburn.  GREAT Place!!

I'm not a beer drinker -- so my review is for the deli sandwiches.

On the advice of a friend, I tried the Wasabi Tuna sandwich, and it was just as fantastic as he described it.

I had mine on a wheat roll, but it is also great with the multi-grain bread too.
The sandwich kept me full most of the day. Great tuna, combined with avocado, wasabi mayo, lettuce and cucumber.

This charming little pub is rapidly becoming a popular attraction in downtown Auburn.
I definitely want to come back on "Open Mic" night, and thank The Old Guy for steering me to this lunch option!

A great selection of beer and some of the best sandwiches available anywhere.  I have yet to have a sandwich there that isn't scrumptious.  Excellent service.

The only downside is the decor.  The layout of the place needs some improvement.  They need to get rid of the deli case and the Foosball table in the front and redo the layout of the bar as the front seems a little confined right now.

After A-Town Deli closed, I was super excited to see what would take its place. Enter Little Belgium! While I don't know too much about a beer bar- except that it sounds awesome- I can definitely speak for sandwiches!

While their selection is not extensive, what they offer has depth and deliciousness. They have an excellent selection of Italian meats and cheeses that are surprising to find in a little Auburn deli. Their vegetables are fresh and delicious, and I applaud the addition of the new Vegan sandwich (mushrooms- YUM!). While I absolutely adore Truckee Sourdough Company breads, the multigrain that they use has a tendency to fall apart. I don't know whether I should call it a hit or miss, because it's so good for the tastebuds. They have Ms Vickie's kettle chips (my favorite, ever) and an interesting selection of sodas, topped off with ginger beer, yum.

The ambiance is laid-back but still polished. Heavy, dark interior is balanced out with the natural lighting from the windows and the open space around seating. Jazz and blues music seem to be the appropriate trend. The service never fails to disappoint. The young men who craft my food (sorry, names?) are awesome, friendly, chatty. The other patrons I saw today surprised me, as I seem to come in during the slow hours- but on a Sunday afternoon, the place was bumpin'!

A note to y'all: you NEED to get a website up and running, or at the very least, provide more detailed information on your Facebook page. Website. One page. Hours, location, link to Google Map, menu (food, selection of beer), link to Facebook, link to Yelp. All that's needed. Add pictures and fun little stories (origin of beers, updates, anecdotes about why you opened, whatever) on other pages as needed. Bam. Done.

It's a cool place to nurse a brew, hang out with friends (and maybe play a board game or two), or grab a sammie for an upcoming hike. Little Belgium, thanks for filling the space on the street and the hole in my sandwich-loving heart!

Little Belgium is doing their part on the front of removing pretension from good food in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Extremely nice, welcoming and accommodating staff.

Besides the outstanding beer list - which really is fantastic, particularly in contrast to the rest of the downtown/oldtown area, and even by metropolitan standards it's great - and underberg shots, their food menu is pretty fantastic.

They recently added vegan and vegetarian options to be sure no one was feeling excluded, and I have to say their veg sandwiches are damn fine for the price point - You won't find such a hearty and tasty veggie sandwich within a 30 miles radius of Auburn for under eight bucks - Except at Little Belgium. They now stock daiya cheese and vegenaise and are in the process of expanding their meat and dairy free goods.

And not to mention - Stuffed avocados.  I don't really need to say more, because puny type can't do it justice.

I really can't stress the accommodating atmosphere and kindness of the staff here - "oh hey, actually our wasabi mayo isn't vegan, but let me whip you up a vegan wasabi mayo really quick"

Great food and top-notch beer is one thing, but served by nice folks who actually enjoy seeing their customers happy *and* don't overcharge just because they can? Never thought I'd see the day.

While I don't partake in the meat, I've heard nothing but rave reviews from my carnivorous friends regarding their meaty goods.

Trivia night is also a blast, even though humiliation always ensues come the pop-culture questions.

News on the street is that they're going to try to get live music ever night - Three cheers to someone actually putting in effort to bring a music culture back to Auburn.

Keep up the good work out there - I will be frequenting your establishment!

Definitely a great place to go for a drink with a friend at any hour of day. The sandwich's are good and since it's open on the weekends until late (midnight-ish) it's a great reprieve from Pete's, the one sh*tty, club car, and all the other local bars in the neighborhood. You'll get a different crowd here, one that doesn't mind paying a few extra bucks for a quality brew and believe Scrabble with a friend is more entertaining than the drunk blondes and wannabe thugs attempting to play pool a block away.

I bring everyone here. It's a classy place that you can bring anyone too (2-year-old children included!!) to have a good night of great conversation, beer, and board games.

I lamented the demise of A-Town deli, Little Belgium delivers!  Great sandwiches, well made, plenty of outstanding meats, all organic, myriad of choices for bread etc.

The beers? This is where they really shine, as long as you enjoy a Belgium brew.  Eric provided us with outstanding pours today, and we enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere and outstanding hospitality.  Top notch local pub for both food and drink!

I really dig the ambiance here! The new bar looks super hip and casual! They have a great draft beer selection and the people that work there are friendly, informative, and SUPER inviting! I did go back recently to order a sandwich and they totally messed it up.... (added mayo and peppers when I asked them not too!) :( However, I called and they said to bring it in and they would re-make it! They were apologetic, and I left happy!
The only thing worth fixing: Don't wrap the sammy's in plastic wrap with the pickles and peppers.... when traveling home, the juice leaks and makes your bread wicked soggy! I'm just sayin'!
