  Should have read the sign "beware of attack waitress" first. Made the huge mistake of trying to order our coffee before someone else who had yet to be taken care of. They were griping about waiting 10+ minutes to receive menus before we even walked in. This gal was rude to her fellow servers and us. Never met a counter girl who couldn't handle more than a two drink order. Must be bi-polar though, we asked for another server at which point she became ultra friendly to her other customers. Life is too short for sophomoric service. Food was average  and order came out wrong. Will be going elsewhere next time.

  I'd like to give this place a complete review,however I can't. That's because I came in for breakfast and sat down at the counter and was ignored. The wait staff passed me time after time without acknowledging I was there. Not even a ''I'll be right with you''. After 15 minutes I walked out. The food may be good but thanks to the awful service I will never know because I ain't going back.

  It's ok. We had pizza and wings for dinner at the pub, then breakfast at the diner in the morning. The pizza and wings weren't the greatest. I will admit I'm a bit of a pizza snob but still, it was a little disappointing. The crust was heavy and thick, and the toppings were kind of weak. The breakfast at the diner was ok. The food wasn't bad; they use nice thickly cut fresh breads and offer a decent American version of Canadian Bacon. The service sucked HARD though -- we basically had to beg for coffee refills and they weren't even that busy.
  
  The view from their outdoor seating area is stunning; a great place to watch the sunset.
  
  Watch out for the cops at the three way stop!! They're just waiting to pick you up after you leave the bar!!!

  Breakfast...   it was tasty normal breakfast fare.  Coffee was good and wait staff both friendly and attentive.  
  
  Locals there NOT overly friendly.....as in no small talk or greeting like a normal small town diner.  But the wait staff and folks there on vacation were happy so it was still a pleasant experience.

  This review is more for the Diner than the Pub.  I come to Long Lake every February for a few days and this is my favorite place for breakfast in town.  Good prices and we've always enjoyed our food.  Service has always been friendly.   Situated in a convenient location with a scenic view and plenty of parking in the two lots they have.

  Standard pub fare including wings, burgers, hot apps like mozzarella sticks and poppers. The wings were decent but I'd have preferred them a little crispier.
  
  The main dining room was closed when we were there so we hit the Owl's Head. A basic 'Dack bar with indoor and outdoor seating and standard beers on tap (Bud, Labatt, etc.) and some more choices in bottles.
  
  A fine spot to stop for a snack if you find yourself hungry in Long Lake. For lighter (ie. non-fried) fare try the sandwich shop at Hoss's across the street.
