On our way home from a weekend of trails and we happened by this little place. A cheerful waitress greeted us, a friendly local passed on some info of things to go see in the area. The menu is straightforward and consistent. I ordered the honey stung chicken, easily the best I have EVER had. Another from the group ordered the Monte Cristo, which was quartered to make is easier to dip into the local maple syrup   It was good, who needs ketchup haha. The last of our group ordered the hamburger platter, a good sized burger, home made bun, smothered in gravy on top of a bed of fries. All three were winners and overall this place is perfect to get you filled up for the road or trail ahead.  $35 with three drinks.

Nearly annual week-long camping trips with dear ol' dad end with a decadent and indulgent feast a l'Italia in this somewhat innocent, diner-looking Italian restaurant in the middle of Tupper Lake. We first discovered this place many many years ago when I was younger. The place was at a smaller location and we were always guessing when they would be open, since the manager (and head cook) never laid down a solid schedule for the restaurant and would close and open at his own leisure. Irritating as that was, the food was good enough to justify it. The eatery still operates in this way as far as I know, since we were turned away last year, much to our great disappointment.

Mouth-watering Italian dishes await he who walks into this excellent restaurant, along with friendly service and charm. The clams are to die for and the pasta dishes are wholesome and generous. This place lays waste to another Italian restaurant just down the road, that although good, is part of a chain and simply doesn't measure up. We will be coming here again and again and again.

Went for breakfast on our way home from Lake Placid. They only had a buffet available and the food was sub-par at best. The eggs were quite wet and the fruit tasted odd. The only real good thing was the bagels.
