Pine Grove Restaurant

Are you an out-of-towner, but want to really feel like a real Tupper Lake local?  Have dinner at The Pine Grove, which is probably one of the most authentic Tupper Lake restaurants.  It's a local town-y favorite, especially with the elder crowd (which is how the demographics tilt).  If you want to see how Tupper Lake looks and eats, this is the place to go.  It's half restaurant, half "ethnographic research" museum.  And, like any museum, don't expect the food to be top-notch.  But that's certainly part of the experience.  I've heard from a good source that the Fried Chicken is "to die for."
