Longfellow's is hard to find, especially if you use your GPS.  The GPS will take you to Wendy's, but keep going past it.  It is worth the drive.  It is a quaint little spot filled with locals.  My husband and I couldn't decide what to get, so we decided to share the backed scallops and a slice of prime rib.  The scallops were perfectly cooked and the prime rib was tender and flavorful.  The bartender recommended the homemade sangria for dessert and it was really good!  We will definitely be going back here and are so glad we found it.

Great spot tucked away in a little strip mall. Clean, cozy and really chill. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Clean rest rooms  are a plus. They serve cold Guinness (my go to drink). I have heard the home cooked meals are pretty amazing. I went to meet a friend (who is a long time regular here) to watch the Bruins win! Excellent night in a cool spot.

Been going to the Cape for 30 years. I just discovered Longfellows this year. One of my biggest regrets in life is that it took so long to find this place. I can't critique the whole menu, because when a place offers prime rib, I'm going to get that every time. I ordered the king size prime rib the last two times there and it was done perfectly both times. The king cut is large and delicious, a very healthy cut of meat. At one point during the meal, I thought I had died and actually gone to heaven. A huge prime rib for $16.99? Are you kidding me?

I liked this place very much: nice staff, very good food well presented and very reasonable. Hidden in a strip mall on the way to the old Yarmouth landfill it has no view and is a dark, pub kind of place. Clean , with no fruit flies! (amazing this time of year). Truly a locals place and a great hideaway during the season de touri.

Beer here. Cheers! Geezers, wheezers, appetizer teasers. Alcohol for all, food no good: drink don't think.

We needed a quick and easy dinner, so we went to Longfellow's.  As soon as you step in, you know this is a townie dive bar.  Tons of forty year olds drunk at the bar screaming 80s tunes at 7pm.  This place definitely has a fun vibe.

We ordered stuffed quahog, and it was quite good.  It came fairly quickly, and was piping hot.  For the entree we both got the fish and chips.  I have never had as much batter as what was brought to me.  It seriously felt like I had to break through a fortress to get to the fish.

Overall, the place is a dive bar, the service was poor, and the food was mediocre at best.  You get what you pay for on the Cape, so if you want cheap bar food, this will work.  If you want a quality dining experience, look elsewhere.

I love this place...I am not a local, but we stay in Yarmouth very frequently...the service is always good, the food is very good and well priced...they fill up the wine glasses generously and it is definitely a townie bar.  The baked scallops are my usual choice or the twin lobsters for 21.99.  Its a great place to do a tasty low key dinner.

Longfellows seems to be under the witness protection program. I've driven by it several times without noticing that it's there. On the advice of a neighbor, my Wife and I gave it a try last Friday night. Even after we parked the car in the lot, I had to scan the building to find the entrance. Inside the decor is straight forward Cape Cod Pub. Fairly dark and very casual. No tourists, all locals. We were told we could seat ourselves and the waitress came right over with menus and took our drink order. The menu was what you would expect - apps, soup, salads, sandwiches, burgers, beef, chicken and seafood. The prices are very reasonable. They have nightly specials that supplement the menu or offer reduced prices. One of their specialties is Prime Rib, which I ordered. My Wife had the Fish & Chips special. Entrees come with a simple salad and potato. As advertised, the Prime Rib was excellent. Warm, with just the right amount of seasoning. The fish was a very generous piece of fresh cod. We both enjoyed our meals very much. Service was fine. The only thing I would change was that I ordered the King Cut of Prime rib, which was a large 2 inch thick portion. Next time I'll get the Queen Cut.

I went to Longfellows last monday. I hadnt been there for quite a long time. It was late around 9 I was tired form a long day and needed some prime rib. We were seated quickly and ordered some beers and a quahog to start. Beers and quahog arrived quickly and for 5.50 you get 2 quahogs, not a bad price. The quahog was basic, hot and tasty and it is what it is. We both ordered the prime rib..its only 12.99 and it comes with a good salad, the meat and a stuffed baked potato and a veg. Not a bad price compared to others nearby. The prime rib was a big cut, cooked perfectly and very tasty. We both commented that we need to come here more. The server was friendly food was great and came out quick and the restaurant was clean and warm and a good neighborhood place.

I recently visited Longfellow's for the first time this past Saturday night.  While it's hard to beat they're twin boiled lobsters with your choice of salad or soup and a starch for 21.99 every Friday and Saturday night, I did not appreciate the waitress's response when asked about a vegetarian option.  My friend asked what they could do for a vegetarian and the waitress replied, "You came to the wrong place."   Not, we have these options ... or, hold on a minute, let me see what the kitchen can do to accommodate you.  Let it be known that I'm a not even close to being a vegetarian, however I don't think someone should feel ostracized (especially at a restaurant) for their dietary restrictions.  It was a rude response and the staff at Longfellow's should show a little more tact the next time.

Three out of four of us ended up going for the twin lobster deal and my veggie friend had a plate of pasta with zucchini and summer squash with some onion, pesto and other veggies.  It looked and tasted fine.  The lobsters aside from being a good deal, were about 1.25lbs a piece and the meat was sweet.  The shells were easy to crack and I don't think I made too much of an ass of myself trying to deconstruct it.  While the potatoes left a lot to be desired, the clam chowder I tasted was better than average.
