We stumbled upon Durango while on a road trip. Tired and hungry we decides to stop and walk for a bit. Tried using Yelp to find a restaurant but with grouchy family members we just went into the Lost Dog. We were all happy we did! The fried soft pretzels were amazing, great sweet potato waffle fries and a house pink lemonade cocktail I'd go back for! Wraps and burgers were delicious. Service was a bit slow but very friendly and helpful and busy. I'm sad we don't live closer because it'd be a regular place for us.
Review Source:Usually not a place I go, so only giving a review based on one vist. Â Bartender was super busy, but totally in control. Had time to still give recommendations and bullshit. Â We ordered, got drinks immediately, decided to sit on the patio, even tho it was early in the season. Â They did everything to accommodate us-- I really felt they went above and beyond. Â The food was okay, southwest eggrolls, which were pretty much cheese, chicken and japs. Â But fried, so hooray! Â I mean, we're at a bar here, we can't expect fine dining. Â
I've since been back for lunch, which was busy. Â Only complaint was that the food took quite a while to come out, especially for lunch when you need to get in and out. Â However, bartenders were attentive, and the food was great. Â Menu is extensive.
I love the Lost Dog! The food is awesome- typical bar fare but made really really good- good hot wings, best burgers, and an imaginative mix of great sandwiches and wraps. the Tiki bar patio in the back is my favorite place to meet friends for drinks in the summer. it makes me think of Al's Patio in the Rum Diary... the bar has lots of big screens- it's a good place to watch a game- and they have a huge liquor selection. service is always great- the owner is awesome and the bartenders are wonderful. I love them all and I love this place!
