Altus location (have not been to the "blinking light" in Blair one) Walked in about 1730 a few months ago or so. the place was empty and the smell was like a toilet running over. I had to call out twice before someone came out of the back room. By then my wife and i were just disgusted with the smell and the weirdness of the place all empty and quiet. I wanted to call...Cujo...Cujo?
My wife mentioned that the TV commercial shows a man making food and dragging his bracelet through the food and long nails on the closeup. ewwwwww. We walked out Never never going back to this plce.
I appreciate local businesses because they support the local economy, so I try to spend my money local, but this place is almost unbearable. Â
I had tried their delivery pizza at a friend's house and it was yum, so me and my husband decided to eat in at the location in Altus. Â The location in Altus is attatched to the golf course clubhouse. Â The place was empty at 6 p.m. and had a hard time finding someone to seat us. Â
Nothing in the place matches and the place could use a good scrub. The paper menus are on the tables underneath a clear table cloth. Â Once we were seated the waitress took our drink orders and brought out the saddest garlic bread I've ever seen. Â They also bring out a dirty jug of olive oil and a filmy jar of balsamic vinegar which they mix together in a little bowl and dump imitation parmesean into it. Â "It's good fer dippin' yer bread into." Â Bread was cut up into haphazard pieces and tasted like it had been dunked in olive oil. Â
I had the calzone which was ok, the crust was better than expected but a little dough-ey. Â They only give you 3 or 4 ingredients and extra ingredients are $1 extra I think. Â Then you can choose from the house tomato sauce or garlic butter sauce, I got them both on the side. Â Husband ordered the lasagna, which was forgettable. Â The tomato sauce is yuck and overloaded with oregano.
Sweet tea was great and the dessert was fine, if you like frozen cake from a box dumped onto a plate and microwaved right before your eyes. Â
The food was better from take-out. Â For the price, I will go elsewhere.
I couldn't believe how good this food was, and not just because it was Blair, OK! Â I had the chicken parmigiana and my side kick had the baked ziti. Â It was some of the best I have had and I have lived in Italy before. Â Then to top it off they had cannoli's for dessert. Â The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the somewhat small menu but this place is legit...enjoy.
