Lynn Auditorium

Went to see Cesar Milan at this venue on July 11th.  Supposedly, the air conditioning was going to be working for the show, but it was not.  And the outside temp was in the 90's.  With a full house of over 1.000 people.

There were some floor fans, but they were inadequate.   As was the sound system - couldn't hear Cesar for half the show.  And the fact that they seated HOARDS of people for the first half hour- 45 minutes into the show was just incredible!  We couldn't see, hear or feel comfortable!

I wrote a negative review on Lynn Auditorium's Facebook page, as did several others, asking for an explanation for the horrendous experience - I don't see any of those comments on the page now.

Makes me very skeptical of the management of that venue.   Don't see going there again.

Pretty good venue for lectures and music. Love the old building, and the seats and acoustics are good. They always have ushers who show you to your seat. Parking can be challenging, especially for old ladies in wheelchairs! I'm fine hoofing it when I'm on my own, but I had to search far and wide for an acceptably level spot on the street for the old lady -- you know, making do with a residential driveway as a ramp and wheeling back over to the ramp entrance. We made do.

Thanks for bringing Cory Booker to Lynn -- he was great!!

There's some nostalgia to this place and it has been a Lynn landmark forever. Granted the parking is hard to find, and it's downtown but  I went here a lot as a kid, as a result of then most of the acts were put on solely for schoolchildren in the area...i.e---Up With People, Annie and shows like that. Now the Auditorium has a full range of concerts and shows set for the upcoming Fall and Winter.

Should be interesting to see how much it has changed and the people who will come to these considering a majority of those probably graduated from high school on the stage.

Worth checking out. I know I will be.
