    Food - tasty
    Value - cheap!!!
Service - the scruffy manager who is the owner's son is nothing short of a jerk! feet on counter and tanktop?! he and our waitress Kristen were the two rudest people I have ever met. Rolling eyes when asking for something, no smiles, just miserable! Service industry requires happy staff...these two are the bottom rung.

Went in for a weekday breakfast during off season last Fall. It wasn't too busy and the food was great so we decided to try it out again this year.

This place is great. Good choices. Not a ridiculous amount like in a diner, but enough that everyone is happy. The polish breakfast was awesome. Pierogi for breakfast? Absolutely. The polish breakfast alone would have me coming back again.

The lunch menu has more choices than the breakfast menu, and a lot of items overlap.

Breakfast served until 12 on weekdays, 1 on weekends.

Its not the best quality food but it is good food for a good price! I love their big chock full of anything you want omelets in the morning and I love their unique hot dogs for lunch.

Their sandwiches and hot dogs are a nice change from the usual hamburger or sub. My goto lunch is a Brigantine Dog (Mustard and Cole Slaw), a North End Dog (Chili, Mustard and Ketchup), and an order of sweet potato fries. Cant beat it, sure its not the healthiest but hey, its good!

Also the home made deserts have always been pretty good. I will admit I'm not entirely sold that they're home made every time, but pretty good!

Hands down, the best place to eat in the AC area! Never a disappointment. It's worth the drive from one of the casinos to come out here. They have recently expanded, so there is plenty of room (even though it has lost some of its "feel" with the expansion). I highly recommend breakfast here. My favorite is a 3 egg omelette with spinach, onions and pepper jack cheese.

We tried Mad Dog Morgan's on a trip to Brigantine on the word of a friend who's spent a lot of time in the area. What I did know was that they have great food and big portions. What I didn't know was that the restaurant is (kind of obviously) stationed in what appears to be an old Wawa. Our friends found this element of the experience a little off-putting and said the restaurant lacked ambiance. I found it charming. They really stuck to their pirate guns with the decor and theme throughout the menu. They even labeled the single restroom as "Poop Deck." We can file that under "Things I Find Cute."

The food was more than adequate. My boyfriend ordered the Polish Pirate, a dish that came with eggs, toast, kielbasa and perogies, complete with sour cream and sauteed onions! I got the blueberry pancakes which were chock full of blueberries and very cakey and delicious. Even my boyfriend's chocolate milk was above par, some of the best he's had, he mentioned.

The service was quick, the restaurant comfy and accommodating, I would say the atmosphere was lacking a little but as I said, charming in its own way.

    What an awesome breakfast joint!

I've been vegetarian since I found out what meat was (age 5), and I recently stopped being able to digest wheat. Oh yeah, I also get sick when I eat eggs. As you can imagine, eating in Brigantine was really, really difficult.

Walking into Mad Dog's is like walking into a Wawa that's been transformed into a pirate-themed senior center dining hall, with a booth or two thrown in for good measure. It's an interesting ambiance. There's pirate and nautical themed stuff everywhere, including a "poop deck" sign above the bathroom.

Very sweet waitress offered us coffee and water as soon as we sat down. She brought over a pitcher of water since there were 6 of us, but it was too small to even fill 6 (styrofoam, weirdly) cups. Most of us ordered coffees, which were served in big kitschy mugs. The coffee was awesome.

It was time for me to face the menu.

Maybe it's a regional thing, but back home in CA, "hash browns" means shredded steamed potatoes fried on the sides and "home fries" means sauteed chunks of potato. I kept ordering home fries here and getting a big ol' pile of greasy potato shreds. Mad Dog's offered home fries, but I didn't get my hopes up. I asked the waitress, and, to my delight, she assured me they serve real home fries here. Yay!

I ended up making a weird special order. Basically, I ordered a side of home fries and then a plate of sauteed vegetables from the custom omelet menu. I then plopped all the veggies on the home fries, and went to town. It was delicious. And it had vegetables! And I was full! And it wasn't unbearably greasy! And I was on Brigantine!

I think everyone liked their food, but I don't think anyone was as stoked about his or her breakfast as I was. Minus a star for what's probably just pretty good food, allegedly lackluster perogis, and the really weird senior center vibe.

The check was $40 for 6 people with coffees all around. Unbeatable. I'd definitely go here over the Pirate's Den for breakfast/brunch.

I'm prefacing this review by calling out the anonymous coward who sent me several harrassing and threatening messages last week...you won't intimidate me out of Yelping. Not for all the tea in China. Anyhoo...

I've only had breakfast at Mad Dog's. This place is apparently somewhat of an institution in Brigantine. I really enjoyed the kitschy pirate-themed decor. We were seated without a wait on a Sunday morning, and the staff was awesome. Our waitress was quick and friendly and was a spot-on embodiment of the Brigantinian attitude (in a really good way.)

The menu at Mad Dog's isn't huge, which was refreshing. I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon, homefries, and toast. Unfortunately, I don't remember what boyfriend ordered...probably because he gobbled it down in record time. My eggs were fluffy and didn't need additional salting. The bacon wasn't cooked to tell. My favorite thing about this plate was the homefries. These were the only homefries I've ever liked! Usually they get pushed to the side or dumped onto boyfriend's plate...but I kept going back to these, a few more times than was reasonably necessary. I didn't eat the toast. My leftovers were promptly packaged in a take-out box, which boyfriend raided approximately 2.5 hours later.

The coffee was excellent, which came as a surprise since I've yet to find anyone who makes coffee as good as yours truly.

2 full breakfasts and 2 coffees...I think our bill was like $17. We don't go out for breakfast much, since most places don't offer things I can eat, but boyfriend and I both really enjoyed this place. I'm not sure how many non-bread items they have for lunch, but I would definitely come back to check it out.

Mad Dog's used to be a sandwich/deli place, but this is much better. Went here for a Sunday morning breakfast in July, thinking the line would be out the door. But we only waited a few minutes for a booth. Coffee was excellent, and the breakfasts were pretty good. The home fries were a bit skimpy, and the scrapple, touted as Habersetts, was not Habersetts. Don't test me...I know my Habersetts.  Pancakes were small an dry. Service was excellent. I'll be back to give it another go.

Went for breakfast. Was busy, so I sat at the counter. I was quickly served. Friendly, fast, and delicious food for the right price. Eggs, coffee, bacon, potatoes, toast for 7.50. Kind people who deserve good business! Will return tomorrow!

Good chicken Noodle soup and very friendly service.  I am trying the Jersey Devil cheesesteak & my hubby is having a Polish Pirate. The staff was very friendly and they have just remodeled the place.  We were going to try to make it back here before we left but, we did not.  I will come back next time in the area.

Its nice to see another place to go for breakfast on the island.  Staff is super friendly and you never have to wait very long for a table.  Food is decent and the prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is nice and quiet in the mornings, which is perfect for me.

Hello favorite breakfast place on the island!  We popped by on a busy Sunday morning and had to wait for a short 10 minutes.  There is not many tables inside, but the staff works fast to get everyone seated.

Our waitress was amazing.  She was so friendly and kept us in the loop as far as when our food was coming out.  We were two vegetarians and two meat eaters.  The waitress was great and offered to give the vegetarians more potatoes in lieu of their meat side that came with the meal.  I went with the breakfast combo with the side of meat and 4 pancakes.  It was so good.  I am a Polish gal, so having the kielbasa as a meat was fantastic.  Their potatoes have savory spices added and they were good, but a bit too much.  They also had a breakfast meal with pierogies, but I will have to get that next time.  The bf got french toast and was super happy as well.  Best of all, the prices are so reasonable.  I think this is going to be our go to breakfast place every time we are back on the island.

Mad Dog Morgans, located in what looks to have once been a convenience store, is a low key breakfast/lunch spot that delivers exactly what it promises: cheap grub, done right.

It seems like the kind of place where locals go for breakfast, where old-timers linger over coffee grumbling about the news. The interior & menu is basically indistinguishable from your local spot, with some nautical/pirate stuff strewn about.

I ordered an omelet, hash browns & coffee. The food was perfect for getting over the previous night's debauchery and starting my day. It came to less than $8, including tip.

That's what I expected, what I needed & what I got. If you're down the shore and can't make the drive to Chicken or the Egg in LBI, Mad Dog Morgan's will do the trick.

I had an omelette which was decent, maybe a little bland.  The presentation was kind of lame... just an omelette on a giant plate.  Potatoes tasted a little weird, but not necessarily bad.  I definitely liked that kielbasa was an option and the service was great.  Free internet and a quiet atmosphere make this a good study spot.  I'd definitely like to get back to try their cheesesteak.
