I really like this place! It has a great outdoor seating area and for a while were coming here every Sunday, when they do Happy Hour pricing all day long. They offer up good pricing on a small variety of drinks and food for HH and our tummies are content when we leave. The service has always been great!

My only criticism is that Mahé is not dog friendly - and they are even set up for it since the outdoor area is split equally between two sections. It would be easy for them to open up one side for those of us with pups.

So thumbs up for the Happy Hour and thumbs down for pooch access!

A couple of weeks ago I was at Mahe in Seal Beach.  Now, I found myself at the Dana Point location in random bar hop.  A number of Yelpers have compared these places. The consensus seems to be that Seal Beach has a better reputation for food.  At Dana Point, you'll find a much larger and open restaurant with a variety of seating options.  It also has a cool outdoor patio with fire pits.  

When we were there, the place was on jammin' and noisy with several larger groups celebrating birthdays or whatever.  The service was fast.  The food was also good (apps & sushi rolls).  The mixed drinks came with a generous pour and there were plenty of beer options.  The entertainment for the night was a band called, "The Three Mustaches," which mostly played rock covers.  The puzzling part was there was only two musicians and only one of them had a mustache.  I suppose, "The Two Guys with One Mustache" band sounds strange .... on so many levels, especially if you've been drinking.

Service mediocre, food good, atmosphere super. Sushi was yummy, unfortunately no one told us what time HH started. The girl at the front was odd, and more concerned with the mirror. She needs to be in the back away from people.
