Located on the courthouse square, this local eatery is full of hometown charm. Compare it to an Applebee's in atmosphere and menu, but with some localized menu items. The pub is divided into an upstairs family dining area and a downstairs bar. Both are accessible via a handicapped lift. The walls are covered with framed sports memorabilia, and overall the furnishings are new and clean (opened in 2008). I highly recommend the Black Forest sandwich, a hot turkey, bacon and provolone on a pretzel roll with a side of sweet potato chips. Cost for that combo a mere $7.99. The service is excellent and friendly. It did feel like we had to wait a bit for our food and the restaurant was not busy. Otherwise, I would definitely return here whenever I'm in Frankfort.
