Service was good, and staff was nice. Â Buffet did not look very fresh, and had some times written in grease pencil on the glass above some of the dishes. Â If the time was truly when the food was put out on the buffet, that is disgusting because some were many hours prior to our arrival. Â I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and pretend like I didnt see them. Â Luckily, my wife has finally taught me to never eat the buffet when dining at a chinese restaurant. Â It had a wide selection, so I had to fight the urge, but was glad I opted for the menu. Â Egg rolls from the menu were higher quality than what was on the buffet. Â Hot and Sour soup was passible. Â Fried dumplings were a hit. I had the sesame chicken for my entree and had them make it extra spicy. Â Pretty good, but the chicken pieces were pretty small. Â Not the best Chinese I have had by any means, but one of the best I have had in the Bay City area. Â I will go back for lack of a better choice.
Review Source:Outside: Â Is this a Chinese place?
Inside: Â Remodeled comfortable, could use some music
Food: Â American Chinese
Service: Â Is alright, seems to be a little betfer if you order off the menu
Cost: Â Fair
As this use to be (probally still is) the best place for Chinese in Bay City, I would have to say that since their move and addition of a buffet they lost a step. Â That is why they are not above average.
To be honest we have not been to any other Chinese place in Bay City in years. Â That is why it holds a solid 3.
I think the buffet has brought their standards down, and almost makes me a little sad. Â As for the buffet it is clean and fresh just bland and a bit repetitive. Â Everything is brown in brown sauce and taste the same. Â The menu items seem to be the best place place to get any quality and variety.
