Yes, I love German food. I am aware of how rare it is to get legit kraut food at a great locale with impressive beer. This is it! I have more than once driven 3 hours for the sausage, kraut and schnitzel. Frankenmuth restaurant is to Taco bell as Taco Bell Is to  authentic Mexican,  Want to read that one again? Real kraut in a cool atmosphere with a staff who wants you back and is interested in your visit. Fantastic. Took my late,  kraut papa, here.
He stated that this was the real deal. Best wishes to the Stein Haus.
I have spent quite a few evenings at this establishment and could go on for a while. Â Top-notch beer selection. Â Huge beer and wine list and full bar, with the tap being an eclectic rotating selection. Â As far as the tap it changes all the time, but always expect several Michigan brews from various breweries, some German beers, with smatterings of other U.S. regional and European microbrews. Â If you want to go with bottled beer the selection is formidable. Â If you like an I.P.A., a stout or even something fruity, you can find it. Â Lindeman's Framboise is frequently on tap, which is my perfect dessert. Â Food is a variety, a little German, a little American, some other, good for a broad crowd. Â I love that I can get a classic weinerschnitzel here with hot potato salad and sauerkraut. Â Usually the same small staff here all the time. Â Dig the atmosphere with the all-wood decor and steins on the walls. Â If I'm in Bay City and can't think of where to go, this always tops the short list.
