The fiancée and I come here every now and then to have a few drinks and relax. We are usually there during HH and its usually pretty chill. I hear it gets poppin on Saturdays. The HH prices are great, One sat. we started out here but went across the street (drinks were cheaper but not by much but were a little stronger than at Mavericks)
Ive never had any issues with racism here. Or issues at the door. Once we did have a group of guys that wanted to dance and were trying to convince my fiancée to convince me to dance with them. One of them intervened and said, no you dance with you're fiancée, you dance with the one you came with just to shut them up. (and I liked that)  still had a great night and loved the music.
Most times its just auto music playing. Only once I have I seen the DJ there, but I asked him to play a song and within minutes it was playing. LOVE that.
I will be back.. after the wedding LOL. (when I can drink again)

Having grown tired of Dallas, waiting through an hour of hip hop music, and don't like the smoke at Graham's, so Mavericks is refreshing and fun with lots of good current country music to dance to.
Only complaint is that at Mavericks they are too diligent on picking up drinks, even if the drink is not finished. Â Getting frustrated to go dance and three minutes later our drinks have been picked up by the staff. Â Woe unto you if you bought a nice whiskey or expensive drink you were sipping on, that $8 drink will be picked up if you let it sit alone for 5 minutes. Â Will continue to complain to managers until this is resolved.
This place is about the best Country bar Ive been to in awhile. Great atmosphere clean restrooms and the staff is super friendly. Unlike thier nearest compeditor Ghetto Grams acros the street this place smells alot better and is less crowded. If you do want to smoke, the outside deck is super enjoyable with different games you can try out like giant jenga. There is a food service truck you can walk up to from the outside deck with reasonable prices and tastey food.
This place also actualy plays country Music all night and mixes in alot of TX red dirt tunes so theres no sitting through 1 hour of pop music waiting on something country to dance to. Â
Drinks specials are a little more expensive than other places but they are still very affordable at 2$ beers. If you do meet that special someone at Mavericks its very nice to walk out on the deck and have a place you can talk without shouting over loud music. I think I have found my new favorite place to hang out in the N. Austin pflugerville area. Im already planning to have my birthday party there.

Outside plays the rock and inside plays the country. Â They have a Burger Trailer outside along with a HUGE patio with alot of tables and various games.
You should try it out if you haven't been - it is alot better than Grahams.
Loved the fact that it's smoke free. The dance floor is very rough, not smooth like it should be for good dancing. The music was older country and they didn't play any  current country music that I would prefer. Over all I was disappointed but I do plan to give it another try in hopes that the floor is sanded smooth and more current country music is played.
Review Source:Love this place. Been going since they opened. Nice dance floor, fun decor and we love the staff. Heather is our favorite waitress!!!! It's smoke-free and youngin' free! No one under 21 and that makes it a nice place. They also have a dress code which I appreciate. It's our favorite local place.
Review Source:This is one of my new favorite places to hang out. On the inside there is a great dance floor with three different bars. All of the employees are very friendly. The dj (peewee) is great. He takes requests and like to play some Texas country. If country isn't your thing then the patio is pretty cool. They have ring on a string, corn hole, and a food trailer with really good food. The owners and management are super friendly too. Can't speak highly enough of this place.

Can't say enough about the layout and overall quality of the club. Â Briefly spoke to the GM and told us about their plans for the future in regards to music, and other activities. Â Great patio area as well. Â They appear to have spent the time and money to do it right, Â Less than a minute off 35 @ Grand.
