MY SALAD WAS SERVED WITH BROWN/OLD LETTUCE MIXED WITH FRESH LETTUCE! Since this was a take-out order, I called and spoke with the manager who stated that since he did not have any other complaints about the salads, that my claim must not be true. Â When I explained I lived 20 minutes away and that coming back for a replacement salad was not feasible, he did not try to salvage this situation with a compromise/solution, but basically was nonchalant. Â I will not return because this place has poor management/customer service.
Review Source:This place is awesome. Smoking is allowed inside but it isn't smokey at all which I really like! They were out of my beer but a manager came to let me know and apologize which was both awesome & unnecessary! But appreciated.
Our server Tosh was very sweet and checked on us continually throughout our rounds of pool. I was told they redid the place recently and it's very clean and pleasant. They maintain the bathrooms well and the space is pretty large.
There are about 10 pool tables and you play for free which is great. I love that the tables are real full sized pool tables and not the run-of-the-mill coin operated tables. I didn't try any food expect fries but I plan to return and check it out. The fries were hot and tasty, so no complains here.
All in all very positive experience! Great spot :) check it out!
I enjoy a good sports bar to hang out with friends, grab a drink and watch a game if I am so inclined (preferably hockey or baseball). Â The best part about a sports bar is I can hang out with said friends while they watch the game and I can ignore the game if so inclined (pro football).
Mazzy's was a port in the storm (tornados and rain) the other day - so sports had little to do with it. Â It was a good place to just hang out and chat with friends. Â Here is the problem, even at 2 in the afternoon it was dark and smoky. Â Too smoky. Â And my friends who were smoking, went 5 tables away to smoke so as not to disturb the rest of us.
The waitress was great and kept our beers/pitchers/glasses filled, and she was super friendly. Â She apologized when her shift was over and she had to cash us out, even. Â But odds are, if it was this hard to breath on a random Tuesday, imagine a Monday Night Football game when the place is in full swing. Â I think I'll keep going to the other guys.
Mazzy's is a throwback to dive bars of the 80s. Extremely large bar area with plenty of televisions, pool tables as far as the eye can see down the left side of the bar, and darts in the back. Smoking is allowed inside and it's the latest opening establishment in the Roswell area as far as alcohol is concerned. A lot of the service staff from restaurants come here to drink after work.
It's a dive bar. They serve typical bar food and cheap alcohol. Plenty of tv's for watching the game and a dedicated set of regulars.
It's what bars used to be before they became glamorized dating clubs and where you went to see and be seen. It's a bar, a real old fashioned bar where they know how to make hard shots and serve pitchers of beer. You'll reek of smoke when you leave and wont break the bank. It's a bar.
Mazzy's is a fairly large and completely unremarkable sports bar near the intersection of Hwy 9 and Holcomb Bridge in Roswell. Â I've visited this location sporadically over the past several years to watch football games featuring my favorite teams when they aren't available on basic cable. Â For that purpose, Mazzy's meets the need.
It's a smoking bar but cigars are not welcome. Â I wasn't aware of this last time I stopped in, so I lit up my stogie during halftime. Â Fortunately the manager was pretty cool about it. Â He did stop by to lay down the no-cigar policy for me and told me I'd have to snuff it out if anyone complained. Â I guess nobody did, because I was left in peace to puff away for the rest of the game.
The beer list is unremarkable (there's that word again!), but adequate and reasonably priced. Â There's a lot of domestics on there. Â A few local craft options. Â The food menu is typical sports bar grub. Â Lots of deep fried options, pizza, nachos, etc. Â There are also some healthy options like salads and grilled fish, although I've never tried any of those dishes so I can't vouch for their quality.
Service has always been friendly and I've never gone thirsty for too long, even when the place is packed. Â It tends to get pretty raucous during Falcons games, but isn't that what you want from a place like this? Â Plenty of local fans make this their game day destination.
There's a huge area cordoned off for games like pool and darts. Â Throughout the space there are numerous large screens of varying quality for sports viewing, and I've never been stuck in a spot where I couldn't easily follow my game of choice.
Would I hang out at Mazzy's if I weren't there to watch my favorite football team(s)? Â Not a chance. Â It's a dark, smokey sports bar. Â But there are far worse places to catch a game.
WOW...amazing how you can neglect going to a place sometimes that is so close to where you live. If you remember when you could go to a bar and actually play some darts and have affordable drinks, enjoy the crowd, the bartenders and just  relax THIS is the place. Mazzy's has a great food menu selection to choose from also. I had the MOAB (Mother Of All Burgers), thats the actual name on the menu...lol. And it was a pretty damn good burger, especially for ONLY $7.99
I was able to hook up a few games of 301 darts and it was a great local find. If you are in the Roswell area...give it a try!
Mazzy's is one of those places that has been around a while, which is good- because I know something must be going on right!
Right in the middle of an aging shopping center near Hwy 9 and Mansell, this place is great to go to after work (for me, thats around 1030-11AM). Â I just don't do it like I used to.
You walk in and its a huge square- Â the left side is all pool tables, the front part is the bar and dining area, and the back has a few more tables, restrooms, and DARTS!!!! Â Why get so excited about darts? Â Where else have you seen 8 dart boards in an establishment (I am sure they exsist, let me know where!)- and even has a league for them!
There are lots of tv's, plenty of bar space, and note there is smoking- but it is a high ceiling so it's not as stuffy as say, The Clermont Lounge.
They have a full bar menu, and the drinks are pretty decent priced (cheaper to TMac, a place I usually drink to up my alcoholism status). Â You would have to out lush my buddies if you wanted to rack a $100 tab- or just buy rounds for the bar. Â The crowd seems to be fairly mixed too, depending on the time of day (during lunch, it's usually businessmen, but a mix into the evening)
I like the bartenders because they are friendly and if you give them a drink recipe- they are willing to try to make it- one thing I have had mixed success at other places.
If you want a local watering hole in Roswell, check it out.
Ashley, our server, gets MAJOR KUDOS for only seeing me once before for less than 5 minutes and remembered what I odered to drink. Â She didn't even ask, she just brought them to the table. Â WAY TO GO!
Since starting work in Roswell, I haven't really had the chance to find a decent sit-down bar/restaurant that is relaxing and has good food. Â Well I think I've found a little gem in the rough of overwatered chain restaurants that populate the area.
Their burgers are amazing, and HUGE! Â You get leaf lettuce, lots of pickles, and a big ol slab of tomato. Â The fries are really good too, and I normally don't care for fries, I'm more of an onion ring kinda guy.
The first time I was here, I was with a couple of coworkers that frequent Mazzy's often, and we were in a rush and had to grab our food to go. Â I ordered the Bourbon Chicken Wrap with o-rings and it was amazing.
I'll be making this a regular lunch stop from now on, definitely....
Great place to hang out in a relaxed environment. Â Pool, ball games and cards can help keep you entertained for hours. Â The food is decent (their food tacos are really good) and the drinks are cold (they usually have a drink special going on). Â It's smokey, but because the place is so big, it's not as bad as it could be.
Review Source:Before you know anything about mazzies you need to know it is a smoking establishment. By that I mean the smoke is ALL encompassing.
If you are fine with that then it is an above average sports bar. It has darts and pool which is a huge plus to go with a massive amount of tv's.
The food is average bar food though, nothing special at all. Overall a great place to hang late night in the burbs or watch sports if you can deal with the smoke.
I absolutely love Mazzy's!
Keep in mind, if you are looking for a place that has top notch food, then Mazzy's is probably is not for you. Â It is not a fine dining restaurant. Â They do make pretty good burgers and quesadillas though. Â And the wings aren't half bad either. Â The menu is typical bar with added items to try to make it more diverse. (Chicken Parm, for example.)
But the value of Mazzy's is as a sports bar, period. Â They have a ton of TV's including 3 huge wall screens. Â It is a great place to go watch football, either college or pro. Â They will usually put on whatever game you ask for if it is not already on.
There are also plenty of Pool Tables and Dart Boards for your entertainment.
The staff is very accommodating and allow you to rearrange the furniture as needed as long as you are a semi-regular there. Â we constantly move a table to where we need it or want it for the TV we want to watch.
They are also home to a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan club and when they are on, the fan club takes up the whole back of the bar. Â But the room is kind of separated and it doesn't take away from the rest of the bar as the place is pretty big.
i like it here. Â wish it were smoke free most times because it gets like a chimney. Â don't plan to walk out without reeking of it.
the food is decent but fairly fixed and doesn't offer many options for vegetarian meals. Â the staff is great though. Â their tables are maintained well.
i've attended and hosted events out of mazzy's. lee is excellent to work with and extremely accommodating. if you're looking for a location for to have an event, mazzy's staff will go out of their way to make you happy.
my suggestions:
. order the MOAB (mother of all burgers) if you're in the mood. it's pretty good.
. always, always, always ask for mallory. she's awesome.
Not a bad neighborhood bar. Â
Large bar with a nice selection of pool tables and dart boards.
The "newer" location in Marietta is a bit nicer and better separated for pool and bar/restaurant. Â It earned one more star from me.
This location has a main bar when you come in with a half wall between the pool tables and bar. Â So whole place can be smoky at times.
The pool tables are 8 foot and pretty well cared for.
The food is above average for bar food, but not spectacular and on the weekends it's pretty busy.
When I used to work down the street from this joint, this was the place to be.
You can play pool, throw darts, drink alcoholic beverages, and even eat food here, if you dare to. Â The fries are sort of good?
The food is standard pub fare, but it's fun to beat your friends at a round of pool or darts when you have no idea what you are doing. Â
It always makes me feel better about being a brit-pop/indie kid when I somehow  kill a frat boy at their own game!
It's better to go there with a large group of friends, otherwise you feel weird trying to ask if you can be a part of someone's reindeer games. Â Yeah, random serial killer-looking guys have asked to play darts with us, we let them because they are scary and might dart us in the back if we say no.
This place is definitely the only spot I would go to for pool and darts if I was subjected to do those things again! Â Dang suburbia!
